The Old Testament (a.k.a., “The Hebrew Bible”) was written primarily in Hebrew, but there are portions that were written in Aramaic. It was translated into Koine Greek between the 3^rd and 1^st centuries BC. This translation is referred to as the Septuagint (LXX) because it is said to have been translated by seventy (70) Jewish scholars.

Hebrew words and phrases are read from right to left. For example, אב, would be read as א (a) and then ב (b), so “ab” (H1).
