2 Chronicles 6 (WEBP)

[1] Then Solomon said, “Yahweh has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
[2] But I have built you a house and home, a place for you to dwell in forever.”
[3] The king turned his face, and blessed all the assembly of Israel; and all the assembly of Israel stood.
[4] He said, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father, and has with his hands fulfilled it, saying,
[5] ‘Since the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, that my name might be there, and I chose no man to be prince over my people Israel;
[6] but now I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel.’
[7] Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
[8] But Yahweh said to David my father, ‘Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart;
[9] nevertheless you shall not build the house, but your son who will come out of your body, he shall build the house for my name.’
[10] “Yahweh has performed his word that he spoke; for I have risen up in the place of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as Yahweh promised, and have built the house for the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
[11] There I have set the ark, in which is Yahweh’s covenant, which he made with the children of Israel.”
[12] He stood before Yahweh’s altar in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands
[13] (for Solomon had made a bronze platform, five cubits° long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the middle of the court; and he stood on it, and knelt down on his knees before all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven).
[14] Then he said, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on earth—you who keep covenant and loving kindness with your servants who walk before you with all their heart;
[15] who have kept with your servant David my father that which you promised him. Yes, you spoke with your mouth, and have fulfilled it with your hand, as it is today.
[16] “Now therefore, Yahweh, the God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father that which you have promised him, saying, ‘There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your children take heed to their way, to walk in my law as you have walked before me.’
[17] Now therefore, Yahweh, the God of Israel, let your word be verified, which you spoke to your servant David.
[18] “But will God indeed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain you; how much less this house which I have built!
[19] Yet have respect for the prayer of your servant and to his supplication, Yahweh my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer which your servant prays before you;
[20] that your eyes may be open toward this house day and night, even toward the place where you have said that you would put your name, to listen to the prayer which your servant will pray toward this place.
[21] Listen to the petitions of your servant and of your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Yes, hear from your dwelling place, even from heaven; and when you hear, forgive.
[22] “If a man sins against his neighbor, and an oath is laid on him to cause him to swear, and he comes and swears before your altar in this house,
[23] then hear from heaven, act, and judge your servants, bringing retribution to the wicked, to bring his way on his own head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
[24] “If your people Israel are struck down before the enemy because they have sinned against you, and they turn again and confess your name, and pray and make supplication before you in this house,
[25] then hear from heaven, and forgive the sin of your people Israel, and bring them again to the land which you gave to them and to their fathers.
[26] “When the sky is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against you, if they pray toward this place and confess your name, and turn from their sin when you afflict them,
[27] then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk, and send rain on your land, which you have given to your people for an inheritance.
[28] “If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence, if there is blight or mildew, locust or caterpillar; if their enemies besiege them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is—
[29] whatever prayer and supplication is made by any man, or by all your people Israel, who will each know his own plague and his own sorrow, and shall spread out his hands toward this house,
[30] then hear from heaven your dwelling place and forgive, and render to every man according to all his ways, whose heart you know (for you, even you only, know the hearts of the children of men),
[31] that they may fear you, to walk in your ways as long as they live in the land which you gave to our fathers.
[32] “Moreover, concerning the foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, when he comes from a far country for your great name’s sake and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm, when they come and pray toward this house,
[33] then hear from heaven, even from your dwelling place, and do according to all that the foreigner calls to you for; that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by your name.
[34] “If your people go out to battle against their enemies, by whatever way you send them, and they pray to you toward this city which you have chosen, and the house which I have built for your name;
[35] then hear from heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.
[36] “If they sin against you (for there is no man who doesn’t sin), and you are angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captive to a land far off or near;
[37] yet if they come to their senses in the land where they are carried captive, and turn again, and make supplication to you in the land of their captivity, saying, ‘We have sinned, we have done perversely, and have dealt wickedly;’
[38] if they return to you with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, where they have been taken captive, and pray toward their land which you gave to their fathers, and the city which you have chosen, and toward the house which I have built for your name;
[39] then hear from heaven, even from your dwelling place, their prayer and their petitions, and maintain their cause, and forgive your people who have sinned against you.
[40] “Now, my God, let, I beg you, your eyes be open, and let your ears be attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.
[41] “Now therefore arise, Yahweh God, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength. Let your priests, Yahweh God, be clothed with salvation, and let your saints rejoice in goodness.
[42] “Yahweh God, don’t turn away the face of your anointed. Remember your loving kindnesses to David your servant.”

2 Chronicles 6 (KJVS)

[1] Then said H559 (8804) Solomon H8010, The LORD H3068 hath said H559 (8804) that he would dwell H7931 (8800) in the thick darkness H6205.
[2] But I have built H1129 (8804) an house H1004 of habitation H2073 for thee, and a place H4349 for thy dwelling H3427 (8800) for ever H5769.
[3] And the king H4428 turned H5437 (8686) his face H6440, and blessed H1288 (8762) the whole congregation H6951 of Israel H3478: and all the congregation H6951 of Israel H3478 stood H5975 (8802).
[4] And he said H559 (8799), Blessed H1288 (8803) [be] the LORD H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478, who hath with his hands H3027 fulfilled H4390 (8765) [that] which he spake H1696 (8765) with his mouth H6310 to my father H1 David H1732, saying H559 (8800),
[5] Since the day H3117 that I brought forth H3318 (8689) my people H5971 out of the land H776 of Egypt H4714 I chose H977 (8804) no city H5892 among all the tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 to build H1129 (8800) an house H1004 in, that my name H8034 might be there; neither chose H977 (8804) I any man H376 to be a ruler H5057 over my people H5971 Israel H3478:
[6] But I have chosen H977 (8799) Jerusalem H3389, that my name H8034 might be there; and have chosen H977 (8799) David H1732 to be over my people H5971 Israel H3478.
[7] Now it was in the heart H3824 of David H1732 my father H1 to build H1129 (8800) an house H1004 for the name H8034 of the LORD H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478.
[8] But the LORD H3068 said H559 (8799) to David H1732 my father H1, Forasmuch as it was in thine heart H3824 to build H1129 (8800) an house H1004 for my name H8034, thou didst well H2895 (8689) in that it was in thine heart H3824:
[9] Notwithstanding H7535 thou shalt not build H1129 (8799) the house H1004; but thy son H1121 which shall come forth H3318 (8802) out of thy loins H2504, he shall build H1129 (8799) the house H1004 for my name H8034.
[10] The LORD H3068 therefore hath performed H6965 (8686) his word H1697 that he hath spoken H1696 (8765): for I am risen up H6965 (8799) in the room of David H1732 my father H1, and am set H3427 (8799) on the throne H3678 of Israel H3478, as the LORD H3068 promised H1696 (8765), and have built H1129 (8799) the house H1004 for the name H8034 of the LORD H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478.
[11] And in it H8033 have I put H7760 (8799) the ark H727, wherein [is] the covenant H1285 of the LORD H3068, that he made H3772 (8804) with the children H1121 of Israel H3478.
[12] And he stood H5975 (8799) before H6440 the altar H4196 of the LORD H3068 in the presence of all the congregation H6951 of Israel H3478, and spread forth H6566 (8799) his hands H3709:
[13] For Solomon H8010 had made H6213 (8804) a brasen H5178 scaffold H3595, of five H2568 cubits H520 long H753, and five H2568 cubits H520 broad H7341, and three H7969 cubits H520 high H6967, and had set H5414 (8799) it in the midst H8432 of the court H5835: and upon it he stood H5975 (8799), and kneeled down H1288 (8799) upon his knees H1290 before all the congregation H6951 of Israel H3478, and spread forth H6566 (8799) his hands H3709 toward heaven H8064,
[14] And said H559 (8799), O LORD H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478, [there is] no God H430 like thee in the heaven H8064, nor in the earth H776; which keepest H8104 (8802) covenant H1285, and [shewest] mercy H2617 unto thy servants H5650, that walk H1980 (8802) before H6440 thee with all their hearts H3820:
[15] Thou which hast kept H8104 (8804) with thy servant H5650 David H1732 my father H1 that which thou hast promised H1696 (8765) him; and spakest H1696 (8762) with thy mouth H6310, and hast fulfilled H4390 (8765) [it] with thine hand H3027, as [it is] this day H3117.
[16] Now therefore, O LORD H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478, keep H8104 (8798) with thy servant H5650 David H1732 my father H1 that which thou hast promised H1696 (8765) him, saying H559 (8800), There shall not fail H3772 (8735) thee a man H376 in my sight H6440 to sit H3427 (8802) upon the throne H3678 of Israel H3478; yet so H7535 that thy children H1121 take heed H8104 (8799) to their way H1870 to walk H3212 (8800) in my law H8451, as thou hast walked H1980 (8804) before H6440 me.
[17] Now then, O LORD H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478, let thy word H1697 be verified H539 (8735), which thou hast spoken H1696 (8765) unto thy servant H5650 David H1732.
[18] But will God H430 in very deed H552 dwell H3427 (8799) with men H120 on the earth H776? behold, heaven H8064 and the heaven H8064 of heavens H8064 cannot contain H3557 (8770) thee; how much less this house H1004 which I have built H1129 (8804)!
[19] Have respect H6437 (8804) therefore to the prayer H8605 of thy servant H5650, and to his supplication H8467, O LORD H3068 my God H430, to hearken H8085 (8800) unto the cry H7440 and the prayer H8605 which thy servant H5650 prayeth H6419 (8693) before H6440 thee:
[20] That thine eyes H5869 may be open H6605 (8803) upon this house H1004 day H3119 and night H3915, upon the place H4725 whereof thou hast said H559 (8804) that thou wouldest put H7760 (8800) thy name H8034 there; to hearken H8085 (8800) unto the prayer H8605 which thy servant H5650 prayeth H6419 (8691) toward this place H4725.
[21] Hearken H8085 (8804) therefore unto the supplications H8469 of thy servant H5650, and of thy people H5971 Israel H3478, which they shall make H6419 (8691) toward this place H4725: hear H8085 (8799) thou from thy dwelling H3427 (8800) place H4725, [even] from heaven H8064; and when thou hearest H8085 (8804), forgive H5545 (8804).
[22] If a man H376 sin H2398 (8799) against his neighbour H7453, and an oath H423 be laid H5375 (8804) upon him to make him swear H422 (8687), and the oath H423 come H935 (8804) before H6440 thine altar H4196 in this house H1004;
[23] Then hear H8085 (8799) thou from heaven H8064, and do H6213 (8804), and judge H8199 (8804) thy servants H5650, by requiting H7725 (8687) the wicked H7563, by recompensing H5414 (8800) his way H1870 upon his own head H7218; and by justifying H6663 (8687) the righteous H6662, by giving H5414 (8800) him according to his righteousness H6666.
[24] And if thy people H5971 Israel H3478 be put to the worse H5062 (8735) before H6440 the enemy H341 (8802), because they have sinned H2398 (8799) against thee; and shall return H7725 (8804) and confess H3034 (8689) thy name H8034, and pray H6419 (8694) and make supplication H2603 (8694) before H6440 thee in this house H1004;
[25] Then hear H8085 (8799) thou from the heavens H8064, and forgive H5545 (8804) the sin H2403 of thy people H5971 Israel H3478, and bring them again H7725 (8689) unto the land H127 which thou gavest H5414 (8804) to them and to their fathers H1.
[26] When the heaven H8064 is shut up H6113 (8736), and there is no rain H4306, because they have sinned H2398 (8799) against thee; [yet] if they pray H6419 (8694) toward this place H4725, and confess H3034 (8689) thy name H8034, and turn H7725 (8799) from their sin H2403, when thou dost afflict H6031 (8686) them;
[27] Then hear H8085 (8799) thou from heaven H8064, and forgive H5545 (8804) the sin H2403 of thy servants H5650, and of thy people H5971 Israel H3478, when thou hast taught H3384 (8686) them the good H2896 way H1870, wherein they should walk H3212 (8799); and send H5414 (8804) rain H4306 upon thy land H776, which thou hast given H5414 (8804) unto thy people H5971 for an inheritance H5159.
[28] If there be dearth H7458 in the land H776, if there be pestilence H1698, if there be blasting H7711, or mildew H3420, locusts H697, or caterpillers H2625; if their enemies H341 (8802) besiege H6887 (8686) them in the cities H8179 of their land H776; whatsoever sore H5061 or whatsoever sickness H4245 [there be]:
[29] [Then] what prayer H8605 [or] what supplication H8467 soever shall be made of any man H120, or of all thy people H5971 Israel H3478, when every one H376 shall know H3045 (8799) his own sore H5061 and his own grief H4341, and shall spread forth H6566 (8804) his hands H3709 in this house H1004:
[30] Then hear H8085 (8799) thou from heaven H8064 thy dwelling H3427 (8800) place H4349, and forgive H5545 (8804), and render H5414 (8804) unto every man H376 according unto all his ways H1870, whose heart H3824 thou knowest H3045 (8799); (for thou only knowest H3045 (8804) the hearts H3824 of the children H1121 of men H120:)
[31] That they may fear H3372 (8799) thee, to walk H3212 (8800) in thy ways H1870, so long as H3117 they live H2416 H6440 in the land H127 which thou gavest H5414 (8804) unto our fathers H1.
[32] Moreover concerning the stranger H5237, which is not of thy people H5971 Israel H3478, but is come H935 (8804) from a far H7350 country H776 for thy great H1419 name’s H8034 sake, and thy mighty H2389 hand H3027, and thy stretched out H5186 (8803) arm H2220; if they come H935 (8804) and pray H6419 (8694) in this house H1004;
[33] Then hear H8085 (8799) thou from the heavens H8064, [even] from thy dwelling H3427 (8800) place H4349, and do H6213 (8804) according to all that the stranger H5237 calleth H7121 (8799) to thee for; that all people H5971 of the earth H776 may know H3045 (8799) thy name H8034, and fear H3372 (8800) thee, as [doth] thy people H5971 Israel H3478, and may know H3045 (8800) that this house H1004 which I have built H1129 (8804) is called H7121 (8738) by thy name H8034.
[34] If thy people H5971 go out H3318 (8799) to war H4421 against their enemies H341 (8802) by the way H1870 that thou shalt send H7971 (8799) them, and they pray H6419 (8694) unto thee toward H1870 this city H5892 which thou hast chosen H977 (8804), and the house H1004 which I have built H1129 (8804) for thy name H8034;
[35] Then hear H8085 (8804) thou from the heavens H8064 their prayer H8605 and their supplication H8467, and maintain H6213 (8804) their cause H4941.
[36] If they sin H2398 (8799) against thee, (for [there is] no man H120 which sinneth H2398 (8799) not,) and thou be angry H599 (8804) with them, and deliver H5414 (8804) them over before H6440 [their] enemies H341 (8802), and they carry them away H7617 (8804) captives H7617 (8802) unto a land H776 far off H7350 or near H7138;
[37] Yet [if] they bethink H7725 (8689) H3824 themselves in the land H776 whither they are carried captive H7617 (8738), and turn H7725 (8804) and pray H2603 (8694) unto thee in the land H776 of their captivity H7628, saying H559 (8800), We have sinned H2398 (8804), we have done amiss H5753 (8689), and have dealt wickedly H7561 (8804);
[38] If they return H7725 (8804) to thee with all their heart H3820 and with all their soul H5315 in the land H776 of their captivity H7628, whither they have carried them captives H7617 (8804), and pray H6419 (8694) toward H1870 their land H776, which thou gavest H5414 (8804) unto their fathers H1, and [toward] the city H5892 which thou hast chosen H977 (8804), and toward the house H1004 which I have built H1129 (8804) for thy name H8034:
[39] Then hear H8085 (8804) thou from the heavens H8064, [even] from thy dwelling H3427 (8800) place H4349, their prayer H8605 and their supplications H8467, and maintain H6213 (8804) their cause H4941, and forgive H5545 (8804) thy people H5971 which have sinned H2398 (8804) against thee.
[40] Now, my God H430, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes H5869 be open H6605 (8803), and [let] thine ears H241 [be] attent H7183 unto the prayer H8605 [that is made] in this place H4725.
[41] Now therefore arise H6965 (8798), O LORD H3068 God H430, into thy resting H5118 place, thou, and the ark H727 of thy strength H5797: let thy priests H3548, O LORD H3068 God H430, be clothed H3847 (8799) with salvation H8668, and let thy saints H2623 rejoice H8055 (8799) in goodness H2896.
[42] O LORD H3068 God H430, turn not away H7725 (8686) the face H6440 of thine anointed H4899: remember H2142 (8798) the mercies H2617 of David H1732 thy servant H5650.

Young’s Literal Translation

2 Chronicles 6 (YLT)

[1] Then said Solomon, ‘Jehovah said-to dwell in thick darkness,
[2] and I-I have built a house of habitation for Thee, and a fixed place for Thy dwelling to the ages.’
[3] And the king turneth round his face, and blesseth the whole assembly of Israel, and the whole assembly of Israel is standing,
[4] and he saith, ‘Blessed is Jehovah, God of Israel, who hath spoken with His mouth with David my father, and with His hands hath fulfilled it, saying:
[5] ‘From the day that I brought out My people from the land of Egypt, I have not fixed on a city out of any of the tribes of Israel to build a house for my name being there, and I have not fixed on a man to be leader over My people Israel;
[6] and I fix on Jerusalem for My name being there, and I fix on David to be over My people Israel.
[7] ‘And it is with the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Jehovah God of Israel,
[8] and Jehovah saith unto David my father, Because that it hath been with thy heart to build a house for My name, thou hast done well that it hath been with thy heart,
[9] but thou dost not build the house, for thy son who cometh forth out from thy loins, he doth build the house for My name.
[10] ‘And Jehovah doth establish His word that He spake, and I rise up in the stead of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah spake, and I build the house for the name of Jehovah, God of Israel,
[11] and I place there the ark, where is the covenant of Jehovah that He made with the sons of Israel.’
[12] And he standeth before the altar of Jehovah, over-against all the assembly of Israel, and spreadeth out his hand,-
[13] for Solomon hath made a scaffold of brass, and putteth it in the midst of the court, five cubits its length, and five cubits its breadth, and three cubits its height, and he standeth upon it, and kneeleth on his knees over-against all the assembly of Israel, and spreadeth forth his hands towards the heavens-
[14] and saith, ‘O Jehovah God of Israel, there is not like Thee a god in the heavens and in the earth, keeping the covenant and the kindness for Thy servants who are walking before Thee with all their heart;
[15] who hast kept for Thy servant David my father that which Thou didst speak to him; yea, Thou dost speak with Thy mouth, and with Thy hand hast fulfilled it, as at this day.
[16] ‘And now, O Jehovah, God of Israel, keep for Thy servant David my father that which Thou didst speak to him, saying, There is not cut off to thee a man from before Me, sitting on the throne of Israel, only, if thy sons watch their way to walk in My law, as thou hast walked before Me.
[17] ‘And now, O Jehovah, God of Israel, is Thy word stedfast that Thou hast spoken to Thy servant, to David,
[18] (for is it true?-God dwelleth with man on the earth! Lo, the heavens, and the heavens of the heavens, do not contain Thee, how much less this house that I have built?)
[19] ‘And Thou hast turned unto the prayer of Thy servant, and unto his supplication, O Jehovah my God, to hearken unto the cry and unto the prayer that Thy servant is praying before Thee,
[20] for Thine eyes being open towards this house by day and by night, towards the place that Thou hast said to put Thy name there, to hearken unto the prayer that Thy servant prayeth towards this place.
[21] ‘And Thou hast hearkened unto the supplications of Thy servant, and of Thy people Israel, that they pray towards this place, and Thou dost hear from the place of Thy dwelling, from the heavens, and hast hearkened, and forgiven.
[22] ‘If a man doth sin against his neighbour, and he hath lifted up on him an oath to cause him to swear, and the oath hath come in before Thine altar in this house-
[23] then Thou dost hear from the heavens, and hast done, and hast judged Thy servants, to give back to the wicked, to put his way on his head, and to declare righteous the righteous, to give to him according to his righteousness.
[24] ‘And if Thy people Israel is smitten before an enemy, because they sin against Thee, and they have turned back and confessed Thy name, and prayed and made supplication before Thee in this house-
[25] then Thou dost hear from the heavens, and hast forgiven the sin of Thy people Israel, and caused them to turn back unto the ground that Thou hast given to them, and to their fathers.
[26] ‘In the heavens being restrained, and there is no rain, because they sin against Thee, and they have prayed towards this place, and confessed Thy name-from their sin they turn back because Thou dost afflict them-
[27] then Thou dost hear in the heavens, and hast forgiven the sin of Thy servants, and of Thy people Israel, because Thou directest them unto the good way in which they walk, and hast given rain on Thy land that Thou hast given to Thy people for an inheritance.
[28] ‘Famine, when it is in the land, pestilence, when it is, blasting, and mildew, locust, and caterpillar, when they are, when its enemies have distressed it in the land-its gates, any plague and any sickness;
[29] any prayer, any supplication that is for any man, and for all Thy people Israel, when they know each his own plague, and his own pain, and he hath spread out his hands towards this house:
[30] then Thou dost hear from the heavens, the settled place of Thy dwelling, and hast forgiven, and hast given to each according to all his ways (because Thou knowest his heart, for Thou-Thou only-hast known the heart of the sons of men),
[31] so that they fear Thee, to walk in Thy ways, all the days that they are living on the face of the ground that Thou hast given to our fathers.
[32] ‘And also, unto the stranger who is not of Thy people Israel, and he hath come from a land afar off for the sake of Thy great name, and Thy strong hand, and Thy stretched-out arm, and they have come in and prayed towards this house:
[33] then Thou dost hear from the heavens, from the settled place of Thy dwelling, and hast done according to all that the stranger calleth unto Thee for: so that all the peoples of the earth do know Thy name, so as to fear Thee, as Thy people Israel, and to know that Thy name is called on this house that I have built.
[34] ‘When Thy people doth go out to battle against its enemies in the way that Thou dost send them, and they have prayed unto Thee the way of this city that Thou hast fixed on, and the house that I have built for Thy name:
[35] then Thou hast heard from the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and hast maintained their cause.
[36] ‘When they sin against Thee-for there is not a man who sinneth not-and Thou hast been angry with them, and hast given them before an enemy, and taken them captive have their captors, unto a land far off or near;
[37] and they have turned it back unto their heart in the land whither they have been taken captive, and have turned back, and made supplication unto Thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done perversely, and have done wickedly;
[38] yea, they have turned back unto Thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their captivity, whither they have taken them captive, and they have prayed the way of their land that Thou hast given to their fathers, and of the city that Thou hast chosen, and of the house that I have built for Thy name:
[39] then Thou hast heard from the heavens, from the settled place of Thy dwelling, their prayer and their supplications, and hast maintained their cause, and forgiven Thy people who have sinned against Thee.
[40] ‘Now, my God, let, I beseech Thee, Thine eyes be open, and Thine ears attentive, to the prayer of this place:
[41] and now, rise, O Jehovah God, to Thy rest, Thou, and the ark of Thy strength; Thy priests, O Jehovah God, are clothed with salvation, and Thy saints rejoice in the goodness,
[42] O Jehovah God, turn not back the face of Thine anointed, be mindful of the kind acts of David Thy servant.’
