Exodus 30 (WEBP)

[1] “You shall make an altar to burn incense on. You shall make it of acacia wood.
[2] Its length shall be a cubit,° and its width a cubit. It shall be square, and its height shall be two cubits. Its horns shall be of one piece with it.
[3] You shall overlay it with pure gold, its top, its sides around it, and its horns; and you shall make a gold molding around it.
[4] You shall make two golden rings for it under its molding; on its two ribs, on its two sides you shall make them; and they shall be for places for poles with which to bear it.
[5] You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold.
[6] You shall put it before the veil that is by the ark of the covenant, before the mercy seat that is over the covenant, where I will meet with you.
[7] Aaron shall burn incense of sweet spices on it every morning. When he tends the lamps, he shall burn it.
[8] When Aaron lights the lamps at evening, he shall burn it, a perpetual incense before Yahweh throughout your generations.
[9] You shall offer no strange incense on it, nor burnt offering, nor meal offering; and you shall pour no drink offering on it.
[10] Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once in the year; with the blood of the sin offering of atonement once in the year he shall make atonement for it throughout your generations. It is most holy to Yahweh.”
[11] Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
[12] “When you take a census of the children of Israel, according to those who are counted among them, then each man shall give a ransom for his soul to Yahweh when you count them, that there be no plague among them when you count them.
[13] They shall give this, everyone who passes over to those who are counted, half a shekel according to the shekel° of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs°); half a shekel for an offering to Yahweh.
[14] Everyone who passes over to those who are counted, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the offering to Yahweh.
[15] The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel,° when they give the offering of Yahweh, to make atonement for your souls.
[16] You shall take the atonement money from the children of Israel, and shall appoint it for the service of the Tent of Meeting; that it may be a memorial for the children of Israel before Yahweh, to make atonement for your souls.”
[17] Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
[18] “You shall also make a basin of bronze, and its base of bronze, in which to wash. You shall put it between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it.
[19] Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet in it.
[20] When they go into the Tent of Meeting, they shall wash with water, that they not die; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn an offering made by fire to Yahweh.
[21] So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they not die. This shall be a statute forever to them, even to him and to his descendants throughout their generations.”
[22] Moreover Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
[23] “Also take fine spices: of liquid myrrh, five hundred shekels;° and of fragrant cinnamon half as much, even two hundred and fifty; and of fragrant cane, two hundred and fifty;
[24] and of cassia five hundred, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; and a hin° of olive oil.
[25] You shall make it into a holy anointing oil, a perfume compounded after the art of the perfumer: it shall be a holy anointing oil.
[26] You shall use it to anoint the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the covenant,
[27] the table and all its articles, the lamp stand and its accessories, the altar of incense,
[28] the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin with its base.
[29] You shall sanctify them, that they may be most holy. Whatever touches them shall be holy.
[30] You shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and sanctify them, that they may minister to me in the priest’s office.
[31] You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘This shall be a holy anointing oil to me throughout your generations.
[32] It shall not be poured on man’s flesh, and do not make any like it, according to its composition. It is holy. It shall be holy to you.
[33] Whoever compounds any like it, or whoever puts any of it on a stranger, he shall be cut off from his people.’ ”
[34] Yahweh said to Moses, “Take to yourself sweet spices, gum resin, onycha, and galbanum: sweet spices with pure frankincense. There shall be an equal weight of each.
[35] You shall make incense of it, a perfume after the art of the perfumer, seasoned with salt, pure and holy.
[36] You shall beat some of it very small, and put some of it before the covenant in the Tent of Meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be to you most holy.
[37] You shall not make this incense, according to its composition, for yourselves: it shall be to you holy for Yahweh.
[38] Whoever shall make any like that, to smell of it, he shall be cut off from his people.”

Exodus 30 (KJVS)

[1] And thou shalt make H6213 (8804) an altar H4196 to burn H4729 incense H7004 upon: [of] shittim H7848 wood H6086 shalt thou make H6213 (8799) it.
[2] A cubit H520 [shall be] the length H753 thereof, and a cubit H520 the breadth H7341 thereof; foursquare H7251 (8803) shall it be: and two cubits H520 [shall be] the height H6967 thereof: the horns H7161 thereof [shall be] of the same.
[3] And thou shalt overlay H6823 (8765) it with pure H2889 gold H2091, the top H1406 thereof, and the sides H7023 thereof round about H5439, and the horns H7161 thereof; and thou shalt make H6213 (8804) unto it a crown H2213 of gold H2091 round about H5439.
[4] And two H8147 golden H2091 rings H2885 shalt thou make H6213 (8799) to it under the crown H2213 of it, by the two H8147 corners H6763 thereof, upon the two H8147 sides H6654 of it shalt thou make H6213 (8799) [it]; and they shall be for places H1004 for the staves H905 to bear H5375 (8800) it withal H1992.
[5] And thou shalt make H6213 (8804) the staves H905 [of] shittim H7848 wood H6086, and overlay H6823 (8765) them with gold H2091.
[6] And thou shalt put H5414 (8804) it before H6440 the vail H6532 that [is] by the ark H727 of the testimony H5715, before H6440 the mercy seat H3727 that [is] over the testimony H5715, where I will meet H3259 (8735) with thee.
[7] And Aaron H175 shall burn H6999 (8689) thereon sweet H5561 incense H7004 every morning H1242: when he dresseth H3190 (8687) the lamps H5216, he shall burn incense H6999 (8686) upon it.
[8] And when Aaron H175 lighteth H5927 (8687) the lamps H5216 at even H6153, he shall burn incense H6999 (8686) upon it, a perpetual H8548 incense H7004 before H6440 the LORD H3068 throughout your generations H1755.
[9] Ye shall offer H5927 (8686) no strange H2114 (8801) incense H7004 thereon, nor burnt sacrifice H5930, nor meat offering H4503; neither shall ye pour H5258 (8799) drink offering H5262 thereon.
[10] And Aaron H175 shall make an atonement H3722 (8765) upon the horns H7161 of it once H259 in a year H8141 with the blood H1818 of the sin offering H2403 of atonements H3725: once H259 in the year H8141 shall he make atonement H3722 (8762) upon it throughout your generations H1755: it [is] most H6944 holy H6944 unto the LORD H3068.
[11] And the LORD H3068 spake H1696 (8762) unto Moses H4872, saying H559 (8800),
[12] When thou takest H5375 (8799) the sum H7218 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478 after their number H6485 (8803), then shall they give H5414 (8804) every man H376 a ransom H3724 for his soul H5315 unto the LORD H3068, when thou numberest H6485 (8800) them; that there be no plague H5063 among them, when [thou] numberest H6485 (8800) them.
[13] This they shall give H5414 (8799), every one that passeth H5674 (8802) among H5921 them that are numbered H6485 (8803), half H4276 a shekel H8255 after the shekel H8255 of the sanctuary H6944: (a shekel H8255 [is] twenty H6242 gerahs H1626:) an half H4276 shekel H8255 [shall be] the offering H8641 of the LORD H3068.
[14] Every one that passeth H5674 (8802) among them that are numbered H6485 (8803), from twenty H6242 years H8141 old H1121 and above H4605, shall give H5414 (8799) an offering H8641 unto the LORD H3068.
[15] The rich H6223 shall not give more H7235 (8686), and the poor H1800 shall not give less H4591 (8686) than half H4276 a shekel H8255, when [they] give H5414 (8800) an offering H8641 unto the LORD H3068, to make an atonement H3722 (8763) for your souls H5315.
[16] And thou shalt take H3947 (8804) the atonement H3725 money H3701 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478, and shalt appoint H5414 (8804) it for the service H5656 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150; that it may be a memorial H2146 unto the children H1121 of Israel H3478 before H6440 the LORD H3068, to make an atonement H3722 (8763) for your souls H5315.
[17] And the LORD H3068 spake H1696 (8762) unto Moses H4872, saying H559 (8800),
[18] Thou shalt also make H6213 (8804) a laver H3595 [of] brass H5178, and his foot H3653 [also of] brass H5178, to wash H7364 (8800) [withal]: and thou shalt put H5414 (8804) it between the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 and the altar H4196, and thou shalt put H5414 (8804) water H4325 therein.
[19] For Aaron H175 and his sons H1121 shall wash H7364 (8804) their hands H3027 and their feet H7272 thereat:
[20] When they go H935 (8800) into the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150, they shall wash H7364 (8799) with water H4325, that they die H4191 (8799) not; or when they come near H5066 (8800) to the altar H4196 to minister H8334 (8763), to burn offering H6999 (8687) made by fire H801 unto the LORD H3068:
[21] So they shall wash H7364 (8804) their hands H3027 and their feet H7272, that they die H4191 (8799) not: and it shall be a statute H2706 for ever H5769 to them, [even] to him and to his seed H2233 throughout their generations H1755.
[22] Moreover the LORD H3068 spake H1696 (8762) unto Moses H4872, saying H559 (8800),
[23] Take H3947 (8798) thou also unto thee principal H7218 spices H1314, of pure H1865 myrrh H4753 five H2568 hundred H3967 [shekels], and of sweet H1314 cinnamon H7076 half H4276 so much H4276, [even] two hundred H3967 and fifty H2572 [shekels], and of sweet H1314 calamus H7070 two hundred H3967 and fifty H2572 [shekels],
[24] And of cassia H6916 five H2568 hundred H3967 [shekels], after the shekel H8255 of the sanctuary H6944, and of oil H8081 olive H2132 an hin H1969:
[25] And thou shalt make H6213 (8804) it an oil H8081 of holy H6944 ointment H4888, an ointment H7545 compound H4842 after the art H4639 of the apothecary H7543 (8802): it shall be an holy H6944 anointing H4888 oil H8081.
[26] And thou shalt anoint H4886 (8804) the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 therewith, and the ark H727 of the testimony H5715,
[27] And the table H7979 and all his vessels H3627, and the candlestick H4501 and his vessels H3627, and the altar H4196 of incense H7004,
[28] And the altar H4196 of burnt offering H5930 with all his vessels H3627, and the laver H3595 and his foot H3653.
[29] And thou shalt sanctify H6942 (8765) them, that they may be most H6944 holy H6944: whatsoever toucheth H5060 (8802) them shall be holy H6942 (8799).
[30] And thou shalt anoint H4886 (8799) Aaron H175 and his sons H1121, and consecrate H6942 (8765) them, that [they] may minister unto me in the priest’s office H3547 (8763).
[31] And thou shalt speak H1696 (8762) unto the children H1121 of Israel H3478, saying H559 (8800), This shall be an holy H6944 anointing H4888 oil H8081 unto me throughout your generations H1755.
[32] Upon man’s H120 flesh H1320 shall it not be poured H3251 (8799), neither shall ye make H6213 (8799) [any other] like it, after the composition H4971 of it: it [is] holy H6944, [and] it shall be holy H6944 unto you.
[33] Whosoever H834 H376 compoundeth H7543 (8799) [any] like it, or whosoever putteth H5414 (8799) [any] of it upon a stranger H2114 (8801), shall even be cut H3772 (8738) off from his people H5971.
[34] And the LORD H3068 said H559 (8799) unto Moses H4872, Take H3947 (8798) unto thee sweet spices H5561, stacte H5198, and onycha H7827, and galbanum H2464; [these] sweet H5561 spices H5561 with pure H2134 frankincense H3828: of each H905 shall there be a like H905 [weight]:
[35] And thou shalt make H6213 (8804) it a perfume H7004, a confection H7545 after the art H4639 of the apothecary H7543 (8802), tempered H4414 (8794) together, pure H2889 [and] holy H6944:
[36] And thou shalt beat H7833 (8804) [some] of it very small H1854 (8687), and put H5414 (8804) of it before H6440 the testimony H5715 in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150, where I will meet H3259 (8735) with thee: it shall be unto you most H6944 holy H6944.
[37] And [as for] the perfume H7004 which thou shalt make H6213 (8799), ye shall not make H6213 (8799) to yourselves according to the composition H4971 thereof: it shall be unto thee holy H6944 for the LORD H3068.
[38] Whosoever H834 H376 shall make H6213 (8799) like unto that, to smell H7306 (8687) thereto, shall even be cut off H3772 (8738) from his people H5971.

Young’s Literal Translation

Exodus 30 (YLT)

[1] ‘And thou hast made an altar for making perfume; of shittim wood thou dost make it;
[2] a cubit its length, and a cubit its breadth, (it is square), and two cubits its height; its horns are of the same.
[3] ‘And thou hast overlaid it with pure gold, its top, and its sides round about, and its horns; and thou hast made to it a crown of gold round about;
[4] and two rings of gold thou dost make to it under its crown; on its two ribs thou dost make them, on its two sides, and they have become places for staves, to bear it with them.
[5] ‘And thou hast made the staves of shittim wood, and hast overlaid them with gold;
[6] and thou hast put it before the vail, which is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy-seat which is over the testimony, whither I am met with thee.
[7] ‘And Aaron hath made perfume on it, perfume of spices, morning by morning; in his making the lamps right he doth perfume it,
[8] and in Aaron’s causing the lamps to go up between the evenings, he doth perfume it; a continual perfume before Jehovah to your generations.
[9] ‘Ye do not cause strange perfume to go up upon it, and burnt-offering, and present, and libation ye do not pour out on it;
[10] and Aaron hath made atonement on its horns, once in a year, by the blood of the sin-offering of atonements; once in a year doth he make atonement for it, to your generations; it is most holy to Jehovah.’
[11] And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
[12] ‘When thou takest up the sum of the sons of Israel for their numbers, then they have given each an atonement for his soul to Jehovah in their being numbered, and there is no plague among them in their being numbered.
[13] ‘This they do give, every one passing over unto those numbered, half a shekel, by the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs); half a shekel is the heave-offering to Jehovah;
[14] every one passing over unto those numbered, from a son of twenty years and upwards, doth give the heave-offering of Jehovah;
[15] the rich doth not multiply, and the poor doth not diminish from the half-shekel, to give the heave-offering of Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.
[16] ‘And thou hast taken the atonement-money from the sons of Israel, and hast given it for the service of the tent of meeting; and it hath been to the sons of Israel for a memorial before Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.’
[17] And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
[18] ‘And thou hast made a laver of brass (and its base of brass), for washing; and thou hast put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and hast put water there;
[19] and Aaron and his sons have washed at it their hands and their feet,
[20] in their going in unto the tent of meeting they wash with water, and die not; or in their drawing nigh unto the altar to minister, to perfume a fire-offering to Jehovah,
[21] then they have washed their hands and their feet, and they die not, and it hath been to them a statute age-during, to him and to his seed to their generations.’
[22] And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
[23] ‘And thou, take to thyself principal spices, wild honey five hundred shekels; and spice-cinnamon, the half of that, two hundred and fifty; and spice-cane two hundred and fifty;
[24] and cassia five hundred, by the shekel of the sanctuary, and olive oil a hin;
[25] and thou hast made it a holy anointing oil, a compound mixture, work of a compounder; it is a holy anointing oil.
[26] ‘And thou hast anointed with it the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony,
[27] and the table and all its vessels, and the candlestick and its vessels, and the altar of perfume,
[28] and the altar of burnt-offering and all its vessels, and the laver and its base;
[29] and thou hast sanctified them, and they have been most holy; all that is coming against them is holy;
[30] and Aaron and his sons thou dost anoint, and hast sanctified them for being priests to Me.
[31] ‘And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, A holy anointing oil is this to Me, to your generations;
[32] on flesh of man it is not poured, and with its proper proportion ye make none like it; it is holy; it is holy to you;
[33] a man who compoundeth any like it, or who putteth of it on a stranger-hath even been cut off from his people.’
[34] And Jehovah saith unto Moses, ‘Take to thee spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, spices and pure frankincense; they are part for part;
[35] and thou hast made it a perfume, a compound, work of a compounder, salted, pure, holy;
[36] and thou hast beaten some of it small, and hast put of it before the testimony, in the tent of meeting, whither I am met with thee; most holy it is to you.
[37] ‘As to the perfume which thou makest, with its proper proportion ye do not make to yourselves, holy it is to thee to Jehovah;
[38] a man who maketh any like it-to be refreshed by it-hath even been cut off from his people.’
