Jeremiah 30 (WEBP)

[1] The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,
[2] “Yahweh, the God of Israel, says, ‘Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.
[3] For, behold, the days come,’ says Yahweh, ‘that I will reverse the captivity of my people Israel and Judah,’ says Yahweh. ‘I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they will possess it.’ ”
[4] These are the words that Yahweh spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
[5] For Yahweh says: “We have heard a voice of trembling; a voice of fear, and not of peace.
[6] Ask now, and see whether a man travails with child. Why do I see every man with his hands on his waist, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned pale?
[7] Alas, for that day is great, so that none is like it! It is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he will be saved out of it.
[8] It will come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of Armies, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and will burst your bonds. Strangers will no more make them their bondservants;
[9] but they will serve Yahweh their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.
[10] Therefore don’t be afraid, O Jacob my servant, says Yahweh. Don’t be dismayed, Israel. For, behold, I will save you from afar, and save your offspring from the land of their captivity. Jacob will return, and will be quiet and at ease. No one will make him afraid.
[11] For I am with you, says Yahweh, to save you; for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.”
[12] For Yahweh says, “Your hurt is incurable. Your wound is grievous.
[13] There is no one to plead your cause, that you may be bound up. You have no healing medicines.
[14] All your lovers have forgotten you. They don’t seek you. For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased.
[15] Why do you cry over your injury? Your pain is incurable. For the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins have increased, I have done these things to you.
[16] Therefore all those who devour you will be devoured. All your adversaries, everyone of them, will go into captivity. Those who plunder you will be plunder. I will make all who prey on you become prey.
[17] For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,” says Yahweh, “because they have called you an outcast, saying, ‘It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.’ ”
[18] Yahweh says: “Behold, I will reverse the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have compassion on his dwelling places. The city will be built on its own hill, and the palace will be inhabited in its own place.
[19] Thanksgiving will proceed out of them with the voice of those who make merry. I will multiply them, and they will not be few; I will also glorify them, and they will not be small.
[20] Their children also will be as before, and their congregation will be established before me. I will punish all who oppress them.
[21] Their prince will be one of them, and their ruler will proceed from among them. I will cause him to draw near, and he will approach me; for who is he who has had boldness to approach me?” says Yahweh.
[22] “You shall be my people, and I will be your God.
[23] Behold, Yahweh’s storm, his wrath, has gone out, a sweeping storm; it will burst on the head of the wicked.
[24] The fierce anger of Yahweh will not return until he has accomplished, and until he has performed the intentions of his heart. In the latter days you will understand it.”

Jeremiah 30 (KJVS)

[1] The word H1697 that came to Jeremiah H3414 from the LORD H3068, saying H559 (8800),
[2] Thus speaketh H559 (8804) the LORD H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478, saying H559 (8800), Write H3789 (8798) thee all the words H1697 that I have spoken H1696 (8765) unto thee in a book H5612.
[3] For, lo, the days H3117 come H935 (8802), saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068, that I will bring again H7725 (8804) the captivity H7622 of my people H5971 Israel H3478 and Judah H3063, saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068: and I will cause them to return H7725 (8689) to the land H776 that I gave H5414 (8804) to their fathers H1, and they shall possess H3423 (8804) it.
[4] And these [are] the words H1697 that the LORD H3068 spake H1696 (8765) concerning Israel H3478 and concerning Judah H3063.
[5] For thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068; We have heard H8085 (8804) a voice H6963 of trembling H2731, of fear H6343, and not of peace H7965.
[6] Ask H7592 (8798) ye now, and see H7200 (8798) whether a man H2145 doth travail with child H3205 (8802)? wherefore do I see H7200 (8804) every man H1397 with his hands H3027 on his loins H2504, as a woman in travail H3205 (8802), and all faces H6440 are turned H2015 (8738) into paleness H3420?
[7] Alas H1945! for that day H3117 [is] great H1419, so that H369 none [is] like it: it [is] even the time H6256 of Jacob’s H3290 trouble H6869; but he shall be saved H3467 (8735) out of it.
[8] For it shall come to pass in that day H3117, saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635, [that] I will break H7665 (8799) his yoke H5923 from off thy neck H6677, and will burst H5423 (8762) thy bonds H4147, and strangers H2114 (8801) shall no more serve H5647 (8799) themselves of him:
[9] But they shall serve H5647 (8804) the LORD H3068 their God H430, and David H1732 their king H4428, whom I will raise up H6965 (8686) unto them.
[10] Therefore fear H3372 (8799) thou not, O my servant H5650 Jacob H3290, saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068; neither be dismayed H2865 (8735), O Israel H3478: for, lo, I will save H3467 (8688) thee from afar H7350, and thy seed H2233 from the land H776 of their captivity H7628; and Jacob H3290 shall return H7725 (8804), and shall be in rest H8252 (8804), and be quiet H7599 (8768), and none shall make [him] afraid H2729 (8688).
[11] For I [am] with thee, saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068, to save H3467 (8687) thee: though I make H6213 (8799) a full end H3617 of all nations H1471 whither I have scattered H6327 (8689) thee, yet will I not make H6213 (8799) a full end H3617 of thee: but I will correct H3256 (8765) thee in measure H4941, and will not leave thee altogether H5352 (8763) unpunished H5352 (8762).
[12] For thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068, Thy bruise H7667 [is] incurable H605 (8803), [and] thy wound H4347 [is] grievous H2470 (8737).
[13] [There is] none to plead H1777 (8802) thy cause H1779, that thou mayest be bound up H4205: thou hast no healing H8585 medicines H7499.
[14] All thy lovers H157 (8764) have forgotten H7911 (8804) thee; they seek H1875 (8799) thee not; for I have wounded H5221 (8689) thee with the wound H4347 of an enemy H341 (8802), with the chastisement H4148 of a cruel one H394, for the multitude H7230 of thine iniquity H5771; [because] thy sins H2403 were increased H6105 (8804).
[15] Why criest H2199 (8799) thou for thine affliction H7667? thy sorrow H4341 [is] incurable H605 (8803) for the multitude H7230 of thine iniquity H5771: [because] thy sins H2403 were increased H6105 (8804), I have done H6213 (8804) these things unto thee.
[16] Therefore all they that devour H398 (8802) thee shall be devoured H398 (8735); and all thine adversaries H6862, every one of them, shall go H3212 (8799) into captivity H7628; and they that spoil H7601 (8802) (8675) H8154 (8802) thee shall be a spoil H4933, and all that prey H962 (8802) upon thee will I give H5414 (8799) for a prey H957.
[17] For I will restore H5927 (8686) health H724 unto thee, and I will heal H7495 (8799) thee of thy wounds H4347, saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068; because they called H7121 (8804) thee an Outcast H5080 (8737), [saying], This [is] Zion H6726, whom no man seeketh after H1875 (8802).
[18] Thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068; Behold, I will bring again H7725 (8802) the captivity H7622 of Jacob’s H3290 tents H168, and have mercy H7355 (8762) on his dwellingplaces H4908; and the city H5892 shall be builded H1129 (8738) upon her own heap H8510, and the palace H759 shall remain H3427 (8799) after the manner H4941 thereof.
[19] And out of them shall proceed H3318 (8804) thanksgiving H8426 and the voice H6963 of them that make merry H7832 (8764): and I will multiply H7235 (8689) them, and they shall not be few H4591 (8799); I will also glorify H3513 (8689) them, and they shall not be small H6819 (8799).
[20] Their children H1121 also shall be as aforetime H6924, and their congregation H5712 shall be established H3559 (8735) before H6440 me, and I will punish H6485 (8804) all that oppress H3905 (8801) them.
[21] And their nobles H117 shall be of themselves, and their governor H4910 (8802) shall proceed H3318 (8799) from the midst H7130 of them; and I will cause him to draw near H7126 (8689), and he shall approach H5066 (8738) unto me: for who [is] this that engaged H6148 (8804) his heart H3820 to approach H5066 (8800) unto me? saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068.
[22] And ye shall be my people H5971, and I will be your God H430.
[23] Behold, the whirlwind H5591 of the LORD H3068 goeth forth H3318 (8804) with fury H2534, a continuing H1641 (8706) whirlwind H5591: it shall fall with pain H2342 (8799) upon the head H7218 of the wicked H7563.
[24] The fierce H2740 anger H639 of the LORD H3068 shall not return H7725 (8799), until he have done H6213 (8800) [it], and until he have performed H6965 (8687) the intents H4209 of his heart H3820: in the latter H319 days H3117 ye shall consider H995 (8709) it.

Young’s Literal Translation

Jeremiah 30 (YLT)

[1] The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,
[2] ‘Thus spake Jehovah, God of Israel, saying, Write for thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee on a book.
[3] For, lo, days are coming-an affirmation of Jehovah-and I have turned back to the captivity of My people Israel and Judah, said Jehovah, and I have caused them to turn back unto the land that I gave to their fathers, and they do possess it.’
[4] And these are the words that Jehovah hath spoken concerning Israel and concerning Judah:
[5] Surely thus said Jehovah: A voice of trembling we have heard, Fear-and there is no peace.
[6] Ask, I pray you, and see, is a male bringing forth? Wherefore have I seen every man, His hands on his loins, as a travailing woman, And all faces have been turned to paleness?
[7] Woe! for great is that day, without any like it, Yea, a time of adversity it is to Jacob, Yet out of it he is saved.
[8] And it hath come to pass, in that day, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, I break his yoke from off thy neck, And thy bands I draw away, And lay no more service on him do strangers.
[9] And they have served Jehovah their God, And David their king whom I raise up to them.
[10] And thou, be not afraid, My servant Jacob, An affirmation of Jehovah, Nor be affrighted, O Israel, For, lo, I am saving thee from afar, And thy seed from the land of their captivity, And Jacob hath turned back and rested, And is quiet, and there is none troubling.
[11] For with thee am I, An affirmation of Jehovah-to save thee, For I make an end of all the nations Whither I have scattered thee, Only, of thee I do not make an end, And I have chastised thee in judgment, And do not entirely acquit thee.
[12] For thus said Jehovah: Incurable is thy breach, grievous thy stroke,
[13] There is none judging thy cause to bind up, Healing medicines there are none for thee.
[14] all loving thee have forgotten thee, Thee they do not seek, For with the stroke of an enemy I smote thee, The chastisement of a fierce one, Because of the abundance of thy iniquity, Mighty have been thy sins!
[15] What!-thou criest concerning thy breach! Incurable is thy pain, Because of the abundance of thy iniquity, Mighty have been thy sins! I have done these to thee.
[16] Therefore all consuming thee are consumed, And all thine adversaries-all of them- Into captivity do go, And thy spoilers have been for a spoil, And all thy plunderers I give up to plunder.
[17] For I increase health to thee, And from thy strokes I do heal thee, An affirmation of Jehovah, For ‘Outcast’ they have called to thee, ‘Zion it is, there is none seeking for her.’
[18] Thus said Jehovah: Lo, I turn back to the captivity of the tents of Jacob, And his dwelling places I pity, And the city hath been built on its heap, And the palace according to its ordinance remaineth.
[19] And gone forth from them hath thanksgiving, And the voice of playful ones, And I have multiplied them and they are not few, And made them honourable, and they are not small.
[20] And his sons have been as aforetime, And his company before Me is established, And I have seen after all his oppressors.
[21] And his honourable one hath been of himself, And his ruler from his midst goeth forth, And I have caused him to draw near, And he hath drawn nigh unto Me, For who is he who hath pledged his heart To draw nigh unto Me? An affirmation of Jehovah.
[22] And ye have been to Me for a people, And I am to you for God.
[23] Lo, a whirlwind of Jehovah- Fury hath gone forth-a cutting whirlwind, On the head of the wicked it stayeth.
[24] The fierceness of the anger of Jehovah Doth not turn back till His doing, Yea, till His establishing the devices of His heart, In the latter end of the days we consider it!
