Numbers 15 (WEBP)

[1] Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
[2] “Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you have come into the land of your habitations, which I give to you,
[3] and will make an offering by fire to Yahweh—a burnt offering, or a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or as a free will offering, or in your set feasts, to make a pleasant aroma to Yahweh, of the herd, or of the flock—
[4] then he who offers his offering shall offer to Yahweh a meal offering of one tenth of an ephah° of fine flour mixed with one fourth of a hin° of oil.
[5] You shall prepare wine for the drink offering, one fourth of a hin, with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.
[6] “ ‘For a ram, you shall prepare for a meal offering two tenths of an ephah° of fine flour mixed with the third part of a hin of oil;
[7] and for the drink offering you shall offer the third part of a hin of wine, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.
[8] When you prepare a bull for a burnt offering or for a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or for peace offerings to Yahweh,
[9] then he shall offer with the bull a meal offering of three tenths of an ephah° of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil;
[10] and you shall offer for the drink offering half a hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.
[11] Thus it shall be done for each bull, for each ram, for each of the male lambs, or of the young goats.
[12] According to the number that you shall prepare, so you shall do to everyone according to their number.
[13] “ ‘All who are native-born shall do these things in this way, in offering an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.
[14] If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you, or whoever may be among you throughout your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh, as you do, so he shall do.
[15] For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner, a statute forever throughout your generations. As you are, so the foreigner shall be before Yahweh.
[16] One law and one ordinance shall be for you and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner with you.’ ”
[17] Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
[18] “Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you come into the land where I bring you,
[19] then it shall be that when you eat of the bread of the land, you shall offer up a wave offering to Yahweh.
[20] Of the first of your dough you shall offer up a cake for a wave offering. As the wave offering of the threshing floor, so you shall heave it.
[21] Of the first of your dough, you shall give to Yahweh a wave offering throughout your generations.
[22] “ ‘When you err, and don’t observe all these commandments which Yahweh has spoken to Moses—
[23] even all that Yahweh has commanded you by Moses, from the day that Yahweh gave commandment and onward throughout your generations—
[24] then it shall be, if it was done unwittingly, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bull for a burnt offering, for a pleasant aroma to Yahweh, with its meal offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one male goat for a sin offering.
[25] The priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and they shall be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their offering, an offering made by fire to Yahweh, and their sin offering before Yahweh, for their error.
[26] All the congregation of the children of Israel shall be forgiven, as well as the stranger who lives as a foreigner among them; for with regard to all the people, it was done unwittingly.
[27] “ ‘If a person sins unwittingly, then he shall offer a female goat a year old for a sin offering.
[28] The priest shall make atonement for the soul who errs when he sins unwittingly before Yahweh. He shall make atonement for him; and he shall be forgiven.
[29] You shall have one law for him who does anything unwittingly, for him who is native-born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner among them.
[30] “ ‘But the soul who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native-born or a foreigner, blasphemes Yahweh. That soul shall be cut off from among his people.
[31] Because he has despised Yahweh’s word, and has broken his commandment, that soul shall be utterly cut off. His iniquity shall be on him.’ ”
[32] While the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day.
[33] Those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation.
[34] They put him in custody, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.
[35] Yahweh said to Moses, “The man shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him with stones outside of the camp.”
[36] All the congregation brought him outside of the camp, and stoned him to death with stones, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
[37] Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
[38] “Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them that they should make themselves fringes§ on the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put on the fringe§ of each border a cord of blue.
[39] It shall be to you for a fringe,§ that you may see it, and remember all Yahweh’s commandments, and do them; and that you don’t follow your own heart and your own eyes, after which you used to play the prostitute;
[40] so that you may remember and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God.
[41] I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am Yahweh your God.”

Numbers 15 (KJVS)

[1] And the LORD H3068 spake H1696 (8762) unto Moses H4872, saying H559 (8800),
[2] Speak H1696 (8761) unto the children H1121 of Israel H3478, and say H559 (8804) unto them, When ye be come H935 (8799) into the land H776 of your habitations H4186, which I give H5414 (8802) unto you,
[3] And will make H6213 (8804) an offering by fire H801 unto the LORD H3068, a burnt offering H5930, or a sacrifice H2077 in performing H6381 (8763) a vow H5088, or in a freewill offering H5071, or in your solemn feasts H4150, to make H6213 (8800) a sweet H5207 savour H7381 unto the LORD H3068, of the herd H1241, or of the flock H6629:
[4] Then shall he that offereth H7126 (8688) his offering H7133 unto the LORD H3068 bring H7126 (8689) a meat offering H4503 of a tenth deal H6241 of flour H5560 mingled H1101 (8803) with the fourth H7243 [part] of an hin H1969 of oil H8081.
[5] And the fourth H7243 [part] of an hin H1969 of wine H3196 for a drink offering H5262 shalt thou prepare H6213 (8799) with the burnt offering H5930 or sacrifice H2077, for one H259 lamb H3532.
[6] Or for a ram H352, thou shalt prepare H6213 (8799) [for] a meat offering H4503 two H8147 tenth deals H6241 of flour H5560 mingled H1101 (8803) with the third H7992 [part] of an hin H1969 of oil H8081.
[7] And for a drink offering H5262 thou shalt offer H7126 (8686) the third H7992 [part] of an hin H1969 of wine H3196, [for] a sweet H5207 savour H7381 unto the LORD H3068.
[8] And when thou preparest H6213 (8799) a bullock H1121 H1241 [for] a burnt offering H5930, or [for] a sacrifice H2077 in performing H6381 (8763) a vow H5088, or peace offerings H8002 unto the LORD H3068:
[9] Then shall he bring H7126 (8689) with a bullock H1241 H1121 a meat offering H4503 of three H7969 tenth deals H6241 of flour H5560 mingled H1101 (8803) with half H2677 an hin H1969 of oil H8081.
[10] And thou shalt bring H7126 (8686) for a drink offering H5262 half H2677 an hin H1969 of wine H3196, [for] an offering made by fire H801, of a sweet H5207 savour H7381 unto the LORD H3068.
[11] Thus shall it be done H6213 (8735) for one H259 bullock H7794, or for one H259 ram H352, or for a lamb H3532 H7716, or a kid H5795.
[12] According to the number H4557 that ye shall prepare H6213 (8799), so H3602 shall ye do H6213 (8799) to every one H259 according to their number H4557.
[13] All that are born of the country H249 shall do H6213 (8799) these things after this manner, in offering H7126 (8687) an offering made by fire H801, of a sweet H5207 savour H7381 unto the LORD H3068.
[14] And if a stranger H1616 sojourn H1481 (8799) with you, or whosoever [be] among H8432 you in your generations H1755, and will offer H6213 (8804) an offering made by fire H801, of a sweet H5207 savour H7381 unto the LORD H3068; as ye do H6213 (8799), so he shall do H6213 (8799).
[15] One H259 ordinance H2708 [shall be both] for you of the congregation H6951, and also for the stranger H1616 that sojourneth H1481 (8802) [with you], an ordinance H2708 for ever H5769 in your generations H1755: as ye [are], so shall the stranger H1616 be before H6440 the LORD H3068.
[16] One H259 law H8451 and one H259 manner H4941 shall be for you, and for the stranger H1616 that sojourneth H1481 (8802) with you.
[17] And the LORD H3068 spake H1696 (8762) unto Moses H4872, saying H559 (8800),
[18] Speak H1696 (8761) unto the children H1121 of Israel H3478, and say H559 (8804) unto them, When ye come H935 (8800) into the land H776 whither I bring H935 (8688) you,
[19] Then it shall be, that, when ye eat H398 (8800) of the bread H3899 of the land H776, ye shall offer up H7311 (8686) an heave offering H8641 unto the LORD H3068.
[20] Ye shall offer up H7311 (8686) a cake H2471 of the first H7225 of your dough H6182 [for] an heave offering H8641: as [ye do] the heave offering H8641 of the threshingfloor H1637, so shall ye heave H7311 (8686) it.
[21] Of the first H7225 of your dough H6182 ye shall give H5414 (8799) unto the LORD H3068 an heave offering H8641 in your generations H1755.
[22] And if ye have erred H7686 (8799), and not observed H6213 (8799) all these commandments H4687, which the LORD H3068 hath spoken H1696 (8765) unto Moses H4872,
[23] [Even] all that the LORD H3068 hath commanded H6680 (8765) you by the hand H3027 of Moses H4872, from the day H3117 that the LORD H3068 commanded H6680 (8765) [Moses], and henceforward H1973 among your generations H1755;
[24] Then it shall be, if [ought] be committed H6213 (8738) by ignorance H7684 without the knowledge H5869 of the congregation H5712, that all the congregation H5712 shall offer H6213 (8804) one H259 young H1121 H1241 bullock H6499 for a burnt offering H5930, for a sweet H5207 savour H7381 unto the LORD H3068, with his meat offering H4503, and his drink offering H5262, according to the manner H4941, and one H259 kid H8163 of the goats H5795 for a sin offering H2403.
[25] And the priest H3548 shall make an atonement H3722 (8765) for all the congregation H5712 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478, and it shall be forgiven H5545 (8738) them; for it [is] ignorance H7684: and they shall bring H935 (8689) their offering H7133, a sacrifice made by fire H801 unto the LORD H3068, and their sin offering H2403 before H6440 the LORD H3068, for their ignorance H7684:
[26] And it shall be forgiven H5545 (8738) all the congregation H5712 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478, and the stranger H1616 that sojourneth H1481 (8802) among H8432 them; seeing all the people H5971 [were] in ignorance H7684.
[27] And if any H259 soul H5315 sin H2398 (8799) through ignorance H7684, then he shall bring H7126 (8689) a she goat H5795 of the first H1323 year H8141 for a sin offering H2403.
[28] And the priest H3548 shall make an atonement H3722 (8765) for the soul H5315 that sinneth ignorantly H7683 (8802), when he sinneth H2398 (8800) by ignorance H7684 before H6440 the LORD H3068, to make an atonement H3722 (8763) for him; and it shall be forgiven H5545 (8738) him.
[29] Ye shall have one H259 law H8451 for him that sinneth H6213 (8802) through ignorance H7684, [both for] him that is born H249 among the children H1121 of Israel H3478, and for the stranger H1616 that sojourneth H1481 (8802) among H8432 them.
[30] But the soul H5315 that doeth H6213 (8799) [ought] presumptuously H7311 (8802) H3027, [whether he be] born in the land H249, or a stranger H4480 H1616, the same reproacheth H1442 (8764) the LORD H3068; and that soul H5315 shall be cut off H3772 (8738) from among H7130 his people H5971.
[31] Because he hath despised H959 (8804) the word H1697 of the LORD H3068, and hath broken H6565 (8689) his commandment H4687, that soul H5315 shall utterly H3772 (8736) be cut off H3772 (8735); his iniquity H5771 [shall be] upon him.
[32] And while the children H1121 of Israel H3478 were in the wilderness H4057, they found H4672 (8799) a man H376 that gathered H7197 (8781) sticks H6086 upon the sabbath H7676 day H3117.
[33] And they that found H4672 (8802) him gathering H7197 (8781) sticks H6086 brought H7126 (8686) him unto Moses H4872 and Aaron H175, and unto all the congregation H5712.
[34] And they put H3240 (8686) him in ward H4929, because it was not declared H6567 (8795) what should be done H6213 (8735) to him.
[35] And the LORD H3068 said H559 (8799) unto Moses H4872, The man H376 shall be surely H4191 (8800) put to death H4191 (8714): all the congregation H5712 shall stone H7275 (8800) him with stones H68 without H2351 the camp H4264.
[36] And all the congregation H5712 brought H3318 (8686) him without H2351 the camp H4264, and stoned H7275 (8799) him with stones H68, and he died H4191 (8799); as the LORD H3068 commanded H6680 (8765) Moses H4872.
[37] And the LORD H3068 spake H559 (8799) unto Moses H4872, saying H559 (8800),
[38] Speak H1696 (8761) unto the children H1121 of Israel H3478, and bid H559 (8804) them that they make H6213 (8804) them fringes H6734 in the borders H3671 of their garments H899 throughout their generations H1755, and that they put H5414 (8804) upon the fringe H6734 of the borders H3671 a ribband H6616 of blue H8504:
[39] And it shall be unto you for a fringe H6734, that ye may look H7200 (8804) upon it, and remember H2142 (8804) all the commandments H4687 of the LORD H3068, and do H6213 (8804) them; and that ye seek H8446 (8799) not after H310 your own heart H3824 and your own eyes H5869, after H310 which ye use to go a whoring H2181 (8802):
[40] That ye may remember H2142 (8799), and do H6213 (8804) all my commandments H4687, and be H1961 (8804) holy H6918 unto your God H430.
[41] I [am] the LORD H3068 your God H430, which brought you out H3318 (8689) of the land H776 of Egypt H4714, to be your God H430: I [am] the LORD H3068 your God H430.

Young’s Literal Translation

Numbers 15 (YLT)

[1] And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
[2] ‘Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When ye come in unto the land of your dwellings, which I am giving to you,
[3] then ye have prepared a fire-offering to Jehovah, a burnt-offering, or a sacrifice, at separating a vow or free-will-offering, or in your appointed things, to make a sweet fragrance to Jehovah, out of the herd, or out of the flock.
[4] ‘And he who is bringing near his offering to Jehovah hath brought near a present of flour, a tenth deal, mixed with a fourth of the hin of oil;
[5] and wine for a libation, a fourth of the hin thou dost prepare for the burnt-offering or for a sacrifice, for the one lamb;
[6] or for a ram thou dost prepare a present of flour, two-tenth deals, mixed with oil, a third of the hin;
[7] and wine for a libation, a third part of the hin, thou dost bring near-a sweet fragrance to Jehovah.
[8] ‘And when thou makest a son of the herd a burnt-offering or a sacrifice, at separating a vow or peace-offerings to Jehovah,
[9] then he hath brought near for the son of the herd a present of flour, three-tenth deals, mixed with oil, a half of the hin;
[10] and wine thou bringest near for a libation, a half of the hin-a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah;
[11] thus it is done for the one ox, or for the one ram, or for a lamb of the sheep or of the goats.
[12] ‘According to the number that ye prepare, so ye do to each, according to their number;
[13] every native doth thus with these, at bringing near a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah;
[14] and when a sojourner sojourneth with you, or whoso is in your midst to your generations, and he hath made a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah, as ye do so he doth.
[15] ‘One statute is for you of the congregation and for the sojourner who is sojourning, a statute age-during to your generations: as ye are so is the sojourner before Jehovah;
[16] one law and one ordinance is to you and to the sojourner who is sojourning with you.’
[17] And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
[18] ‘Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, In your coming in unto the land whither I am bringing you in,
[19] then it hath been, in your eating of the bread of the land, ye heave up a heave-offering to Jehovah;
[20] the beginning of your dough a cake ye heave up-a heave-offering; as the heave-offering of a threshing-floor, so ye do heave it.
[21] Of the beginning of your dough ye do give to Jehovah a heave-offering-to your generations.
[22] ‘And when ye err, and do not all these commands which Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses,
[23] the whole that Jehovah hath charged upon you by the hand of Moses, from the day that Jehovah hath commanded, and henceforth, to your generations,
[24] then it hath been, if from the eyes of the company it hath been done in ignorance, that all the company have prepared one bullock, a son of the herd, for a burnt-offering, for sweet fragrance to Jehovah, and its present, and its libation, according to the ordinance, and one kid of the goats for a sin-offering.
[25] ‘And the priest hath made atonement for all the company of the sons of Israel, and it hath been forgiven them, for it is ignorance, and they-they have brought in their offering, a fire-offering to Jehovah, even their sin-offering before Jehovah for their ignorance;
[26] and it hath been forgiven to all the company of the sons of Israel, and to the sojourner who is sojourning in their midst; for to all the company it is done in ignorance.
[27] ‘And if one person sin in ignorance, then he hath brought near a she-goat, daughter of a year, for a sin-offering;
[28] and the priest hath made atonement for the person who is erring, in his sinning in ignorance before Jehovah, by making atonement for him, and it hath been forgiven him;
[29] for the native among the sons of Israel, and for the sojourner who is sojourning in their midst-one law is to you, for him who is doing anything through ignorance.
[30] ‘And the person who doth aught with a high hand-of the native or of the sojourner-Jehovah he is reviling, and that person hath been cut off from the midst of his people;
[31] because the word of Jehovah he despised, and His command hath broken-that person is certainly cut off; his iniquity is on him.’
[32] And the sons of Israel are in the wilderness, and they find a man gathering wood on the sabbath-day,
[33] and those finding him gathering wood bring him near unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto all the company,
[34] and they place him in ward, for it is not explained what is to be done to him.
[35] And Jehovah saith unto Moses, ‘The man is certainly put to death, all the company stoning him with stones, at the outside of the camp.’
[36] And all the company bring him out unto the outside of the camp, and stone him with stones, and he dieth, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
[37] And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
[38] ‘Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, and they have made for themselves fringes on the skirts of their garments, to their generations, and they have put on the fringe of the skirt a ribbon of blue,
[39] and it hath been to you for a fringe, and ye have seen it, and have remembered all the commands of Jehovah, and have done them, and ye search not after your heart, and after your eyes, after which ye are going a-whoring;
[40] so that ye remember and have done all My commands, and ye have been holy to your God;
[41] I am Jehovah your God, who hath brought you out from the land of Egypt to become your God; I, Jehovah, am your God.’
