Exodus 20:13-14 (ASV, KJVS, YLT)

American Standard Version

Exodus 20

1.  And God spake all these words, saying,
2.  I am Jehovah thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3.  Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4.  Thou shalt not make unto thee a graven image, nor any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5.  Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them, for I Jehovah thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of them that hate me,
6.  and showing lovingkindness unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
7.  Thou shalt not take the name of Jehovah thy God in vain; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8.  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9.  Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work;
10.  but the seventh day is a sabbath unto Jehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11.  for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Jehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12.  Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.
13.  Thou shalt not kill.
14.  Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15.  Thou shalt not steal.
16.  Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
17.  Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.
18.  And all the people perceived the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the voice of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they trembled, and stood afar off.
19.  And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
20.  And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before you, that ye sin not.
21.  And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.
22.  And Jehovah said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye yourselves have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
23.  Ye shall not make other gods with me; gods of silver, or gods of gold, ye shall not make unto you.
24.  An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt-offerings, and thy peace-offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in every place where I record my name I will come unto thee and I will bless thee.
25.  And if thou make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stones; for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.
26.  Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not uncovered thereon.

Exodus 20

1.  And God [0430] spake [1696] (8762) all these words [1697], saying [0559] (8800),
2.  I [am] the LORD [3068] thy God [0430], which have brought [3318] (8689) thee out of the land [0776] of Egypt [4714], out of the house [1004] of bondage [5650].
3.  Thou shalt have no other [0312] gods [0430] before me [6440].
4.  Thou shalt not make [6213] (8799) unto thee any graven image [6459], or any likeness [8544] [of any thing] that [0834] [is] in heaven [8064] above [4605], or that [is] in the earth [0776] beneath, or that [is] in the water [4325] under the earth [0776]:
5.  Thou shalt not bow down [7812] (8691) thyself to them, nor serve [5647] (8714) them: for I the LORD [3068] thy God [0430] [am] a jealous [7067] God [0410], visiting [6485] (8802) the iniquity [5771] of the fathers [0001] upon the children [1121] unto the third [8029] and fourth [7256] [generation] of them that hate [8130] (8802) me;
6.  And shewing [6213] (8802) mercy [2617] unto thousands [0505] of them that love [0157] (8802) me, and keep [8104] (8802) my commandments [4687].
7.  Thou shalt not take [5375] (8799) the name [8034] of the LORD [3068] thy God [0430] in vain [7723]; for the LORD [3068] will not hold him guiltless [5352] (8762) that taketh [5375] (8799) his name [8034] in vain [7723].
8.  Remember [2142] (8800) the sabbath [7676] day [3117], to keep it holy [6942] (8763).
9.  Six [8337] days [3117] shalt thou labour [5647] (8799), and do [6213] (8804) all thy work [4399]:
10.  But the seventh [7637] day [3117] [is] the sabbath [7676] of the LORD [3068] thy God [0430]: [in it] thou shalt not do [6213] (8799) any work [4399], thou, nor thy son [1121], nor thy daughter [1323], thy manservant [5650], nor thy maidservant [0519], nor thy cattle [0929], nor thy stranger [1616] that [is] within thy gates [8179]:
11.  For [in] six [8337] days [3117] the LORD [3068] made [6213] (8804) heaven [8064] and earth [0776], the sea [3220], and all that in them [is], and rested [5117] (8799) the seventh [7637] day [3117]: wherefore the LORD [3068] blessed [1288] (8765) the sabbath [7676] day [3117], and hallowed [6942] (8762) it.
12.  Honour [3513] (8761) thy father [0001] and thy mother [0517]: that thy days [3117] may be long [0748] (8686) upon the land [0127] which the LORD [3068] thy God [0430] giveth [5414] (8802) thee.
13.  Thou shalt not kill [7523] (8799).
14.  Thou shalt not commit adultery [5003] (8799).
15.  Thou shalt not steal [1589] (8799).
16.  Thou shalt not bear [6030] (8799) false [8267] witness [5707] against thy neighbour [7453].
17.  Thou shalt not covet [2530] (8799) thy neighbour's [7453] house [1004], thou shalt not covet [2530] (8799) thy neighbour's [7453] wife [0802], nor his manservant [5650], nor his maidservant [0519], nor his ox [7794], nor his ass [2543], nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour's [7453].
18.  And all the people [5971] saw [7200] (8802) the thunderings [6963], and the lightnings [3940], and the noise [6963] of the trumpet [7782], and the mountain [2022] smoking [6226]: and when the people [5971] saw [7200] (8799) [it], they removed [5128] (8799), and stood [5975] (8799) afar off [7350].
19.  And they said [0559] (8799) unto Moses [4872], Speak [1696] (8761) thou with us, and we will hear [8085] (8799): but let not God [0430] speak [1696] (8762) with us, lest we die [4191] (8799).
20.  And Moses [4872] said [0559] (8799) unto the people [5971], Fear [3372] (8799) not: for God [0430] is come [0935] (8804) to [5668] prove [5254] (8763) you, and that his fear [3374] may be before your faces [6440], that ye sin [2398] (8799) not.
21.  And the people [5971] stood [5975] (8799) afar off [7350], and Moses [4872] drew near [5066] (8738) unto the thick darkness [6205] where God [0430] [was].
22.  And the LORD [3068] said [0559] (8799) unto Moses [4872], Thus thou shalt say [0559] (8799) unto the children [1121] of Israel [3478], Ye have seen [7200] (8804) that I have talked [1696] (8765) with you from heaven [8064].
23.  Ye shall not make [6213] (8799) with me gods [0430] of silver [3701], neither shall ye make [6213] (8799) unto you gods [0430] of gold [2091].
24.  An altar [4196] of earth [0127] thou shalt make [6213] (8799) unto me, and shalt sacrifice [2076] (8804) thereon thy burnt offerings [5930], and thy peace offerings [8002], thy sheep [6629], and thine oxen [1241]: in all places [4725] where I record [2142] (8686) my name [8034] I will come [0935] (8799) unto thee, and I will bless [1288] (8765) thee.
25.  And if thou wilt make [6213] (8799) me an altar [4196] of stone [0068], thou shalt not build [1129] (8799) it of hewn stone [1496]: for if thou lift up [5130] (8689) thy tool [2719] upon it, thou hast polluted [2490] (8762) it.
26.  Neither shalt thou go up [5927] (8799) by steps [4609] unto mine altar [4196], that thy nakedness [6172] be not discovered [1540] (8735) thereon.

Young's Literal Translation

Exodus 20

1.  'And God speaketh all these words, saying,
2.  I am Jehovah thy God, who hath brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants.
3.  'Thou hast no other Gods before Me.
4.  'Thou dost not make to thyself a graven image, or any likeness which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth.
5.  Thou dost not bow thyself to them, nor serve them: for I, Jehovah thy God, am a zealous God, charging iniquity of fathers on sons, on the third generation, and on the fourth, of those hating Me,
6.  and doing kindness to thousands, of those loving Me and keeping My commands.
7.  'Thou dost not take up the name of Jehovah thy God for a vain thing, for Jehovah acquitteth not him who taketh up His name for a vain thing.
8.  'Remember the Sabbath-day to sanctify it;
9.  six days thou dost labour, and hast done all thy work,
10.  and the seventh day is a Sabbath to Jehovah thy God; thou dost not do any work, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, thy man-servant, and thy handmaid, and thy cattle, and thy sojourner who is within thy gates,-
11.  for six days hath Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and resteth in the seventh day; therefore hath Jehovah blessed the Sabbath-day, and doth sanctify it.
12.  'Honour thy father and thy mother, so that thy days are prolonged on the ground which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee.
13.  'Thou dost not murder.
14.  'Thou dost not commit adultery.
15.  'Thou dost not steal.
16.  'Thou dost not answer against thy neighbour a false testimony.
17.  'Thou dost not desire the house of thy neighbour, thou dost not desire the wife of thy neighbour, or his man-servant, or his handmaid, or his ox, or his ass, or anything which is thy neighbour's.'
18.  And all the people are seeing the voices, and the flames, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mount smoking; and the people see, and move, and stand afar off,
19.  and say unto Moses, 'Speak thou with us, and we hear, and let not God speak with us, lest we die.'
20.  And Moses saith unto the people, 'Fear not, for to try you hath God come, and in order that His fear may be before your faces-that ye sin not.'
21.  And the people stand afar off, and Moses hath drawn nigh unto the thick darkness where God is.
22.  And Jehovah saith unto Moses, 'Thus dost thou say unto the sons of Israel: Ye-ye have seen that from the heavens I have spoken with you;
23.  ye do not make with Me gods of silver, even gods of gold ye do not make to yourselves.
24.  'An altar of earth thou dost make for Me, and thou hast sacrificed on it thy burnt-offerings and thy peace-offerings, thy flock and thy herd; in every place where I cause My name to be remembered I come in unto thee, and have blessed thee.
25.  'And if an altar of stones thou dost make to Me, thou dost not build them of hewn work; when thy tool thou hast waved over it, then thou dost pollute it;
26.  neither dost thou go up by steps on Mine altar, that thy nakedness be not revealed upon it.
