Why “Equip God’s People”? – EGP Blog post from September 10, 2012

This ministry exists to “equip God’s people.” Not to fill our heads with knowledge, “but the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.” Because “knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies.” My hope and prayer is that these devotionals will churn your heart for God, encourage you to open your Bible, and help you to mature as dedicated disciples of Christ.

Ephesians 4:14–15 ()

[14] Then we will no longer be like children, forever changing our minds about what we believe because someone has told us something different or because someone has cleverly lied to us and made the lie sound like the truth. [15] Instead, we will hold to the truth in love, becoming more and more in every way like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
