Creation Points to the Creator EGP Blog post from September 13, 2012

Romans 1:20 ()

From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.

If you want to believe that 14 billion years ago the universe was in a hot, dense state, then it exploded/expanded…fine…but how did the hot, dense universe get there? In addition to that, most of the parables Jesus used to describe His Father’s Kingdom were using nature. Even further still, many other truths are revealed by Creation, like the moon shining the sun’s light at night is symbolic of the Son reflecting the Father’s Glory.

Romans 1:21 ()

Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. The result was that their minds became dark and confused.

People have a tendency to establish in their minds what God should be like and then chastise Him for not living up to THEIR standard. They also do the same thing to His children.

Romans 1:25 ()

Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they worshiped the things God made but not the Creator himself, who is to be praised forever. Amen.
