Written for the Generation to Come – EGP Blog post from December 3, 2012

Ever since I saw this verse, I’ve thought of it as one of the main reasons we have the Bible.

Psalm 102:18 ()

This will be written for the generation to come, That a people yet to be created may praise the Lord.

Psalm 102:18a Or Let this be written
Psalm 102:18b Or And
Psalm 102:18c Or will
Psalm 102:18d Heb YAH

And it leads right into this verse…

John 20:28–29 ()

[28] Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” [29] Jesus said* to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

As much as we’ve all wished we could have seen some of the stuff recorded in the Bible, we are blessed all the more for not seeing it and still believing. But praise God that He still speaks and does mighty things!
