It’s really hard when family and friends hurt you. Lost people act lost and believers aren’t perfect either, but knowing that doesn’t lessen the pain. When going through those situations, I have to remind myself not to wall up and shut others out, because there’s a spiritual battle going on behind the scenes.

Satan wants to steal joy, kill love, and destroy relationships. God is joy. God is love. God is relationship. That’s why Satan targets those specific areas. He wants to hurt God and get rid of anything that reminds him of God. When we give up hope on love, Satan gains ground.

We must earnestly seek to go deep into God’s presence, especially during those painful times, so we can experience God and get true healing. Only then can His love flow freely through us to others.
