λογοι αμως οι εγενοντο εν νακκαριμ εκ θεκουε ους ειδεν υπερ ιερουσαλημ εν ημεραις οζιου βασιλεως ιουδα και εν ημεραις ιεροβοαμ του ιωας βασιλεως ισραηλ προ δυο ετων του σεισμου

και ειπεν κυριος προς με τι συ ορας αμως και ειπα αδαμαντα και ειπεν κυριος προς με ιδου εγω εντασσω αδαμαντα εν μεσω λαου μου ισραηλ ουκετι μη προσθω του παρελθειν αυτον

Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the middle of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words.

και εξαπεστειλεν αμασιας ο ιερευς βαιθηλ προς ιεροβοαμ βασιλεα ισραηλ λεγων συστροφας ποιειται κατα σου αμως εν μεσω οικου ισραηλ ου μη δυνηται η γη υπενεγκειν απαντας τους λογους αυτου

For Amos says, ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”

Amaziah also said to Amos, “You seer, go, flee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there,

και ειπεν αμασιας προς αμως ο ορων βαδιζε εκχωρησον εις γην ιουδα και εκει καταβιου και εκει προφητευσεις

Then Amos answered Amaziah, “I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son, but I was a herdsman, and a farmer of sycamore figs;

και ειπεν τι συ βλεπεις αμως και ειπα αγγος ιξευτου και ειπεν κυριος προς με ηκει το περας επι τον λαον μου ισραηλ ουκετι μη προσθω του παρελθειν αυτον
