When the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, she obtained favor in his sight; and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. So Esther came near and touched the top of the scepter.

και αρας την χρυσην ραβδον επεθηκεν επι τον τραχηλον αυτης και ησπασατο αυτην και ειπεν λαλησον μοι (5:2Α) και ειπεν αυτω ειδον σε κυριε ως αγγελον θεου και εταραχθη η καρδια μου απο φοβου της δοξης σου οτι θαυμαστος ει κυριε και το προσωπον σου χαριτων μεστον (5:2Β) εν δε τω διαλεγεσθαι αυτην επεσεν απο εκλυσεως αυτης και ο βασιλευς εταρασσετο και πασα η θεραπεια αυτου παρεκαλει αυτην

Then the king held out to Esther the golden scepter. So Esther arose, and stood before the king.

εξετεινεν δε ο βασιλευς εσθηρ την ραβδον την χρυσην εξηγερθη δε εσθηρ παρεστηκεναι τω βασιλει
