They said to him, “We have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it.” Joseph said to them, “Don’t interpretations belong to God? Please tell it to me.”

When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph, “I also was in my dream, and behold, three baskets of white bread were on my head.

και ειδεν ο αρχισιτοποιος οτι ορθως συνεκρινεν και ειπεν τω ιωσηφ καγω ειδον ενυπνιον και ωμην τρια κανα χονδριτων αιρειν επι της κεφαλης μου

but he hanged the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them.

But he hanged H8518 (QalPerf) the chief H8269 baker: H644 (QalActPtc) as Joseph H3130 had interpreted H6622 (QalPerf) to them.

τον δε αρχισιτοποιον εκρεμασεν καθα συνεκρινεν αυτοις ιωσηφ

In the morning, his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all of Egypt’s magicians and wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Pharaoh.

εγενετο δε πρωι και εταραχθη η ψυχη αυτου και αποστειλας εκαλεσεν παντας τους εξηγητας αιγυπτου και παντας τους σοφους αυτης και διηγησατο αυτοις φαραω το ενυπνιον και ουκ ην ο απαγγελλων αυτο τω φαραω

There was with us there a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard, and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams. He interpreted to each man according to his dream.

And [there was] there with us a young man, H5288 an Hebrew, H5680 servant H5650 to the captain H8269 of the guard; H2876 and we told H5608 (PielImpf) him, and he interpreted H6622 (QalImpf) to us our dreams; H2472 to each man H376 according to his dream H2472 he did interpret. H6622 (QalPerf)

ην δε εκει μεθ ημων νεανισκος παις εβραιος του αρχιμαγειρου και διηγησαμεθα αυτω και συνεκρινεν ημιν

As he interpreted to us, so it was. He restored me to my office, and he hanged him.”

εγενηθη δε καθως συνεκρινεν ημιν ουτως και συνεβη εμε τε αποκατασταθηναι επι την αρχην μου εκεινον δε κρεμασθηναι

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”

And Pharaoh H6547 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Joseph, H3130 I have dreamed H2492 (QalPerf) a dream, H2472 and [there is] none that can interpret H6622 (QalActPtc) it: and I have heard H8085 (QalPerf) say H559 (QalInf) of thee, [that] thou canst understand H8085 (QalImpf) a dream H2472 to interpret H6622 (QalInf) it.

ειπεν δε φαραω τω ιωσηφ ενυπνιον εωρακα και ο συγκρινων ουκ εστιν αυτο εγω δε ακηκοα περι σου λεγοντων ακουσαντα σε ενυπνια συγκριναι αυτα
