και τις ο ανθρωπος οστις μεμνηστευται γυναικα και ουκ ελαβεν αυτην πορευεσθω και αποστραφητω εις την οικιαν αυτου μη αποθανη εν τω πολεμω και ανθρωπος ετερος λημψεται αυτην

If there is a young lady who is a virgin pledged to be married to a husband, and a man finds her in the city, and lies with her,

If a damsel H5291 that is a virgin H1330 be betrothed H781 (PualPtc) unto an husband, H376 and a man H376 find H4672 (QalPerf) her in the city, H5892 and lie H7901 (QalPerf) with her;

εαν δε γενηται παις παρθενος μεμνηστευμενη ανδρι και ευρων αυτην ανθρωπος εν πολει κοιμηθη μετ αυτης

But if the man finds the lady who is pledged to be married in the field, and the man forces her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die;

But if a man H376 find H4672 (QalImpf) a betrothed H781 (PualPtc) damsel H5291 in the field, H7704 and the man H376 force H2388 (HiphPerf) her,^§ and lie H7901 (QalPerf) with her: then the man H376 only that lay H7901 (QalPerf) with her shall die: H4191 (QalPerf)

εαν δε εν πεδιω ευρη ανθρωπος την παιδα την μεμνηστευμενην και βιασαμενος κοιμηθη μετ αυτης αποκτενειτε τον ανθρωπον τον κοιμωμενον μετ αυτης μονον

If a man finds a lady who is a virgin, who is not pledged to be married, grabs her and lies with her, and they are found,

If a man H376 find H4672 (QalImpf) a damsel H5291 that is a virgin, H1330 which is not betrothed, H781 (PualPerf) and lay hold H8610 (QalPerf) on her, and lie H7901 (QalPerf) with her, and they be found; H4672 (NiphPerf)

εαν δε τις ευρη την παιδα την παρθενον ητις ου μεμνηστευται και βιασαμενος κοιμηθη μετ αυτης και ευρεθη

You will betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her. You will build a house, and you won’t dwell in it. You will plant a vineyard, and not use its fruit.
