In the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem;

και εγενετο εν τω ενιαυτω τω πεμπτω βασιλευοντος ροβοαμ ανεβη σουσακιμ βασιλευς αιγυπτου επι ιερουσαλημ

In the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had trespassed against Yahweh,

And it came to pass, [that] in the fifth H2549 year H8141 of king H4428 Rehoboam H7346 Shishak H7895 king H4428 of Egypt H4714 came up H5927 (QalPerf) against Jerusalem, H3389 because they had transgressed H4603 (QalPerf) against the Lord, H3068

και εγενετο εν τω πεμπτω ετει της βασιλειας ροβοαμ ανεβη σουσακιμ βασιλευς αιγυπτου επι ιερουσαλημ οτι ημαρτον εναντιον κυριου

Now Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and to the princes of Judah, who were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them, “Yahweh says, ‘You have forsaken me, therefore I have also left you in the hand of Shishak.’ ”

Then came H935 (QalPerf) Shemaiah H8098 the prophet H5030 to Rehoboam, H7346 and [to] the princes H8269 of Judah, H3063 that were gathered together H622 (NiphPerf) to Jerusalem H3389 because H6440 of Shishak, H7895 and said H559 (QalImpf) unto them, Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord, H3068 Ye have forsaken H5800 (QalPerf) me, and therefore have I also H637 left H5800 (QalPerf) you in the hand H3027 of Shishak. και σαμαιας ο προφητης ηλθεν προς ροβοαμ και προς τους αρχοντας ιουδα τους συναχθεντας εις ιερουσαλημ απο προσωπου σουσακιμ και ειπεν αυτοις ουτως ειπεν κυριος υμεις εγκατελιπετε με καγω εγκαταλειψω υμας εν χειρι σουσακιμ

When Yahweh saw that they humbled themselves, Yahweh’s word came to Shemaiah, saying, “They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath won’t be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

And when the Lord H3068 saw H7200 (QalInf) that they humbled H3665 (NiphPerf) themselves, the word H1697 of the Lord H3068 came to Shemaiah, H8098 saying, H559 (QalInf) They have humbled H3665 (NiphPerf) themselves; [therefore] I will not destroy H7843 (HiphImpf) them, but I will grant H5414 (QalPerf) them some H4592 deliverance; H6413 and my wrath H2534 shall not be poured out H5413 (QalImpf) upon Jerusalem H3389 by the hand H3027 of Shishak. και εν τω ιδειν κυριον οτι ενετραπησαν και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς σαμαιαν λεγων ενετραπησαν ου καταφθερω αυτους και δωσω αυτους ως μικρον εις σωτηριαν και ου μη σταξη ο θυμος μου εν ιερουσαλημ

So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem and took away the treasures of Yahweh’s house and the treasures of the king’s house. He took it all away. He also took away the shields of gold which Solomon had made.

So Shishak H7895 king H4428 of Egypt H4714 came up H5927 (QalImpf) against Jerusalem, H3389 and took away H3947 (QalImpf) the treasures H214 of the house H1004 of the Lord, H3068 and the treasures H214 of the king’s H4428 house; H1004 he took H3947 (QalPerf) all: he carried away H3947 (QalImpf) also the shields H4043 of gold H2091 which Solomon H8010 had made.
