Micah 5 (WEBP)
[1] Now you shall gather yourself in troops, daughter of troops. He has laid siege against us. They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek.
[2] But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me who is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times.
[3] Therefore he will abandon them until the time that she who is in labor gives birth. Then the rest of his brothers will return to the children of Israel.
[4] He shall stand, and shall shepherd in the strength of Yahweh, in the majesty of the name of Yahweh his God. They will live, for then he will be great to the ends of the earth.
[5] He will be our peace when Assyria invades our land and when he marches through our fortresses, then we will raise against him seven shepherds, and eight leaders of men.
[6] They will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in its gates. He will deliver us from the Assyrian, when he invades our land, and when he marches within our border.
[7] The remnant of Jacob will be among many peoples like dew from Yahweh, like showers on the grass, that don’t wait for man nor wait for the sons of men.
[8] The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, among many peoples, like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep; who, if he goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, and there is no one to deliver.
[9] Let your hand be lifted up above your adversaries, and let all of your enemies be cut off.
[10] “It will happen in that day”, says Yahweh, “that I will cut off your horses from among you and will destroy your chariots.
[11] I will cut off the cities of your land and will tear down all your strongholds.
[12] I will destroy witchcraft from your hand. You shall have no soothsayers.
[13] I will cut off your engraved images and your pillars from among you; and you shall no more worship the work of your hands.
[14] I will uproot your Asherah poles from among you; and I will destroy your cities.
[15] I will execute vengeance in anger and wrath on the nations that didn’t listen.”

Micah 5 (KJVS)
[1] Now gather H1413 (8704) thyself in troops H1416, O daughter H1323 of troops H1416: he hath laid H7760 (8804) siege H4692 against us: they shall smite H5221 (8686) the judge H8199 (8802) of Israel H3478 with a rod H7626 upon the cheek H3895.
[2] But thou, Bethlehem H1035 Ephratah H672, [though] thou be little H6810 among the thousands H505 of Judah H3063, [yet] out of thee shall he come forth H3318 (8799) unto me [that is] to be ruler H4910 (8802) in Israel H3478; whose goings forth H4163 [have been] from of old H6924, from everlasting H3117 H5769.
[3] Therefore will he give them up H5414 (8799), until the time H6256 [that] she which travaileth H3205 (8802) hath brought forth H3205 (8804): then the remnant H3499 of his brethren H251 shall return H7725 (8799) unto the children H1121 of Israel H3478.
[4] And he shall stand H5975 (8804) and feed H7462 (8804) in the strength H5797 of the LORD H3068, in the majesty H1347 of the name H8034 of the LORD H3068 his God H430; and they shall abide H3427 (8804): for now shall he be great H1431 (8799) unto the ends H657 of the earth H776.
[5] And this [man] shall be the peace H7965, when the Assyrian H804 shall come H935 (8799) into our land H776: and when he shall tread H1869 (8799) in our palaces H759, then shall we raise H6965 (8689) against him seven H7651 shepherds H7462 (8802), and eight H8083 principal H5257 men H120.
[6] And they shall waste H7462 (8804) the land H776 of Assyria H804 with the sword H2719, and the land H776 of Nimrod H5248 in the entrances H6607 thereof: thus shall he deliver H5337 (8689) [us] from the Assyrian H804, when he cometh H935 (8799) into our land H776, and when he treadeth H1869 (8799) within our borders H1366.
[7] And the remnant H7611 of Jacob H3290 shall be in the midst H7130 of many H7227 people H5971 as a dew H2919 from the LORD H3068, as the showers H7241 upon the grass H6212, that tarrieth H6960 (8762) not for man H376, nor waiteth H3176 (8762) for the sons H1121 of men H120.
[8] And the remnant H7611 of Jacob H3290 shall be among the Gentiles H1471 in the midst H7130 of many H7227 people H5971 as a lion H738 among the beasts H929 of the forest H3293, as a young lion H3715 among the flocks H5739 of sheep H6629: who, if he go through H5674 (8804), both treadeth down H7429 (8804), and teareth in pieces H2963 (8804), and none can deliver H5337 (8688).
[9] Thine hand H3027 shall be lifted up H7311 (8799) upon thine adversaries H6862, and all thine enemies H341 (8802) shall be cut off H3772 (8735).
[10] And it shall come to pass in that day H3117, saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068, that I will cut off H3772 (8689) thy horses H5483 out of the midst H7130 of thee, and I will destroy H6 (8689) thy chariots H4818:
[11] And I will cut off H3772 (8689) the cities H6145 (8676) H5892 of thy land H776, and throw down H2040 (8804) all thy strong holds H4013:
[12] And I will cut off H3772 (8689) witchcrafts H3785 out of thine hand H3027; and thou shalt have no [more] soothsayers H6049 (8781):
[13] Thy graven images H6456 also will I cut off H3772 (8689), and thy standing images H4676 out of the midst H7130 of thee; and thou shalt no more worship H7812 (8691) the work H4639 of thine hands H3027.
[14] And I will pluck up H5428 (8804) thy groves H842 out of the midst H7130 of thee: so will I destroy H8045 (8689) thy cities H6145 (8676) H5892.
[15] And I will execute H6213 (8804) vengeance H5359 in anger H639 and fury H2534 upon the heathen H1471, such as they have not heard H8085 (8804).
Young’s Literal Translation
Micah 5 (YLT)
[1] Now gather thyself together, O daughter of troops, A siege he hath laid against us, With a rod they smite on the cheek the judge of Israel.
[2] And thou, Beth-Lehem Ephratah, Little to be among the chiefs of Judah! From thee to Me he cometh forth-to be ruler in Israel, And his comings forth are of old, From the days of antiquity.
[3] Therefore he doth give them out till the time She who bringeth forth hath brought forth, And the remnant of his brethren return to the sons of Israel.
[4] And he hath stood and delighted in the strength of Jehovah, In the excellency of the name of Jehovah his God, And they have remained, For now he is great unto the ends of earth.
[5] And this one hath been peace, Asshur! when he doth come into our land, And when he doth tread in our palaces, We have raised against him seven shepherds, And eight anointed of man.
[6] And they have afflicted the land of Asshur with the sword, And the land of Nimrod at its openings, And he hath delivered from Asshur when he doth come into our land, And when he treadeth in our borders.
[7] And the remnant of Jacob hath been in the midst of many peoples, As dew from Jehovah-as showers on the herb, That waiteth not for man, nor stayeth for the sons of men.
[8] Yea, the remnant of Jacob hath been among nations, In the midst of many peoples, As a lion among beasts of a forest, As a young lion among ranks of a flock, Which if it hath passed through, Hath both trodden down and hath torn, And there is no deliverer.
[9] High is thy hand above thine adversaries, And all thine enemies are cut off.
[10] And it hath come to pass in that day, An affirmation of Jehovah, I have cut off thy horses from thy midst, And I have destroyed thy chariots,
[11] And I have cut off the cities of thy land, And I have thrown down all thy fortresses,
[12] And have cut off sorcerers out of thy hand, And observers of clouds thou hast none.
[13] And I have cut off thy graven images, And thy standing-pillars out of thy midst, And thou dost not bow thyself any more To the work of thy hands.
[14] And I have plucked up thy shrines out of thy midst, And I have destroyed thine enemies.
[15] And I have done vengeance in anger and in fury, With the nations who have not hearkened!
