Strong’s Greek Lexicon
from G2095 and a derivative of a presumed compound of G4012 and G2476; well standing around, i.e. (a competitor) thwarting (a racer) in every direction (figuratively, of sin in genitive case):—which doth so easily beset.
Owing to changes in the enumeration while in progress, there were no words left for numbers 2717 and 3203–3302, which were therefore silently dropped out of the vocabulary and references as redundant.
