Strong’s Greek Lexicon
a prolonged form of a compound probably of a derivative of the base of G1476 and perhaps G2192; properly, keeping one’s seat (sedentary), i.e. (by implication) still (undisturbed, undisturbing):—peaceable, quiet.
Owing to changes in the enumeration while in progress, there were no words left for numbers 2717 and 3203–3302, which were therefore silently dropped out of the vocabulary and references as redundant.
