He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before Yahweh’s angel, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

And he shewed H7200 (HiphImpf) me Joshua H3091 the high H1419 priest H3548 standing H5975 (QalActPtc) before H6440 the angel H4397 of the Lord, H3068 and Satan H7854 standing H5975 (QalActPtc) at his right hand H3225 to resist H7853 (QalInf) him.

And he sheweth me Joshua the high priest standing before the messenger of Jehovah, and the Adversary standing at his right hand, to be an adversary to him.

He answered and spoke to those who stood before him, saying, “Take the filthy garments off him.” To him he said, “Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich clothing.”

And he answered H6030 (QalImpf) and spake H559 (QalImpf) unto those that stood H5975 (QalActPtc) before H6440 him, saying, H559 (QalInf) Take away H5493 (HiphImpv) the filthy H6674 garments H899 from him. And unto him he said, H559 (QalImpf) Behold, H7200 (QalImpv) I have caused thine iniquity H5771 to pass H5674 (HiphPerf) from thee, and I will clothe H3847 (HiphInf) thee with change of raiment. H4254

And he answereth and speaketh unto those standing before him, saying: ‘Turn aside the filthy garments from off him.’ And he saith unto him, ‘See, I have caused thine iniquity to pass away from off thee, so as to clothe thee with costly apparel.’

He said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I have seen, and behold, a lamp stand all of gold, with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps on it; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps which are on the top of it;

And said H559 (QalImpf) unto me, What seest H7200 (QalActPtc) thou? And I said, H559 (QalImpf) I have looked, H7200 (QalPerf) and behold a candlestick H4501 all [of] gold, H2091 with a bowl H1531 upon the top H7218 of it, and his seven H7651 lamps H5216 thereon, and seven H7651 pipes H4166 to the seven H7651 lamps, H5216 which [are] upon the top H7218 thereof:

and he saith unto me, ‘What art thou seeing?’ And I say, ‘I have looked, and lo, a candlestick of gold-all of it, and its bowl is on its top, and its seven lamps are upon it, and twice seven pipes are to the lights that are on its top,

Indeed, who despises the day of small things? For these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. These are Yahweh’s eyes, which run back and forth through the whole earth.”

For who hath despised H936 (QalPerf) the day H3117 of small things? H6996 for they shall rejoice, H8055 (QalPerf) and shall see H7200 (QalPerf) the plummet H68 H913 in the hand H3027 of Zerubbabel H2216 [with] those seven; H7651 they [are] the eyes H5869 of the Lord, H3068 which run to and fro H7751 (PolePtc) through the whole earth. For who trampled on the day of small things, They have rejoiced, And seen the tin weight in the hand of Zerubbabel, These seven are the eyes of Jehovah, They are going to and fro in all the land.’

Then again I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.

Then I turned, H7725 (QalImpf) and lifted up H5375 (QalImpf) mine eyes, H5869 and looked, H7200 (QalImpf) and behold a flying H5774 (QalActPtc) roll. H4039

And I turn back, and lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, a flying roll.

He said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits,° and its width ten cubits.”

Zechariah 5:2 A cubit is the length from the tip of the middle finger to the elbow on a man’s arm, or about 18 inches or 46 centimeters.

And he said H559 (QalImpf) unto me, What seest H7200 (QalActPtc) thou? And I answered, H559 (QalImpf) I see H7200 (QalActPtc) a flying H5774 (QalActPtc) roll; H4039 the length H753 thereof [is] twenty H6242 cubits, H520 and the breadth H7341 thereof ten H6235 cubits. H520

And he saith unto me, ‘What art thou seeing?’ And I say, ‘I am seeing a flying roll, its length twenty by the cubit, and its breadth ten by the cubit.’

Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that is appearing.”

Then the angel H4397 that talked H1696 (QalActPtc) with me went forth, H3318 (QalImpf) and said H559 (QalImpf) unto me, Lift up H5375 (QalImpv) now thine eyes, H5869 and see H7200 (QalImpv) what [is] this that goeth forth. H3318 (QalActPtc)

And the messenger who is speaking with me goeth forth, and saith unto me, ‘Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see what is this that is coming forth?’

Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, there were two women; and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and the sky.

Then lifted I up H5375 (QalImpf) mine eyes, H5869 and looked, H7200 (QalImpf) and, behold, there came out H3318 (QalActPtc) two H8147 women, H802 and the wind H7307 [was] in their wings; H3671 for they had H2007 wings H3671 like the wings H3671 of a stork: H2624 and they lifted up H5375 (QalImpf) the ephah H374 between the earth H776 and the heaven. And I lift up mine eyes, and see, and lo, two women are coming forth, and wind in their wings; and they have wings like wings of the stork, and they lift up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.

Again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze.

And I turned, H7725 (QalImpf) and lifted up H5375 (QalImpf) mine eyes, H5869 and looked, H7200 (QalImpf) and, behold, there came H3318 four H702 chariots H4818 out H3318 (QalActPtc) from between two H8147 mountains; H2022 and the mountains H2022 [were] mountains H2022 of brass. H5178

And I turn back, and lift up mine eyes, and look, and lo, four chariots are coming forth from between two of the mountains, and the mountains are mountains of brass.

Then he called to me, and spoke to me, saying, “Behold, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.”

Then cried H2199 (HiphImpf) he upon H853 me, and spake H1696 (PielImpf) unto me, saying, H559 (QalInf) Behold, H7200 (QalImpv) these that go H3318 (QalActPtc) toward the north H6828 country H776 have quieted H5117 (HiphPerf) my spirit H7307 in the north H6828 country. H776

And he calleth me, and speaketh unto me, saying, ‘See, those coming forth unto the land of the north have caused My Spirit to rest in the land of the north.’

Ashkelon will see it, and fear; Gaza also, and will writhe in agony; as will Ekron, for her expectation will be disappointed; and the king will perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon will not be inhabited.

Ashkelon H831 shall see H7200 (QalImpf) [it], and fear; H3372 (QalImpf) Gaza H5804 also [shall see it], and be very H3966 sorrowful, H2342 (QalImpf) and Ekron; H6138 for her expectation H4007 shall be ashamed; H3001 (HiphPerf) and the king H4428 shall perish H6 (QalPerf) from Gaza, H5804 and Ashkelon H831 shall not be inhabited. See doth Ashkelon and fear, Also Gaza, and she is exceedingly pained, Also Ekron-for her expectation dried up, And perished hath a king from Gaza, And Ashkelon doth not remain,

I will encamp around my house against the army, that no one pass through or return; and no oppressor will pass through them any more: for now I have seen with my eyes.

And I will encamp H2583 (QalPerf) about mine house H1004 because of the army, H4675 because of him that passeth by, H5674 (QalActPtc) and because of him that returneth: H7725 (QalActPtc) and no oppressor H5065 (QalActPtc) shall pass through H5674 (QalImpf) them any more: for now have I seen H7200 (QalPerf) with mine eyes. And I have pitched for My house a camp, Because of the passer through, and of the returner, And pass not through against them again doth an exactor, For, now, I have seen with My eyes.

Yahweh will be seen over them. His arrow will flash like lightning. The Lord Yahweh will blow the trumpet, and will go with whirlwinds of the south.

And the Lord H3068 shall be seen H7200 (NiphImpf) over them, and his arrow H2671 shall go forth H3318 (QalPerf) as the lightning: H1300 and the Lord H136 God H3069 shall blow H8628 (QalImpf) the trumpet, H7782 and shall go H1980 (QalPerf) with whirlwinds H5591 of the south. H8486

And Jehovah doth appear for them, And gone forth as lightning hath His arrow, And the Lord Jehovah with a trumpet bloweth, And He hath gone with whirlwinds of the south.

Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will rejoice as through wine. Yes, their children will see it and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in Yahweh.

And [they of] Ephraim H669 shall be like a mighty H1368 [man], and their heart H3820 shall rejoice H8055 (QalPerf) as through wine: H3196 yea, their children H1121 shall see H7200 (QalImpf) [it], and be glad; H8055 (QalPerf) their heart H3820 shall rejoice H1523 (QalImpf) in the Lord. H3068

And Ephraim hath been as a hero, And rejoiced hath their heart as wine, And their sons see, and they have rejoiced, Rejoice doth their heart in Jehovah.

Your eyes will see, and you will say, “Yahweh is great—even beyond the border of Israel!”

And your eyes H5869 shall see, H7200 (QalImpf) and ye shall say, H559 (QalImpf) The Lord H3068 will be magnified H1431 (QalImpf) from the border H1366 of Israel. H3478

And your eyes do see, and ye say, ‘Magnified is Jehovah beyond the border of Israel,

“But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like launderers’ soap;

But who may abide H3557 (PilpPtc) the day H3117 of his coming? H935 (QalInf) and who shall stand H5975 (QalActPtc) when he appeareth? H7200 (NiphInf) for he [is] like a refiner’s H6884 (PielPtc) fire, H784 and like fullers’ H3526 (PielPtc) soap: H1287

And who is bearing the day of his coming? And who is standing in his appearing? For he is as fire of a refiner, And as soap of a fuller.

Then you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who doesn’t serve him.

Then shall ye return, H7725 (QalPerf) and discern H7200 (QalPerf) between the righteous H6662 and the wicked, H7563 between him that serveth H5647 (QalActPtc) God H430 and him that serveth H5647 (QalPerf) him not.

And ye have turned back and considered, Between the righteous and the wicked, Between the servant of God and him who is not His servant.
