You shall prepare wine for the drink offering, one fourth of a hin, with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.

When you prepare a bull for a burnt offering or for a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or for peace offerings to Yahweh,

And when thou preparest H6213 (QalImpf) a bullock H1121 H1241 [for] a burnt offering, H5930 or [for] a sacrifice H2077 in performing H6381 (PielInf) a vow, H5088 or peace offerings H8002 unto the Lord: H3068

εαν δε απο των βοων ποιητε εις ολοκαυτωμα η εις θυσιαν μεγαλυναι ευχην η εις σωτηριον κυριω

then it shall be, if it was done unwittingly, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bull for a burnt offering, for a pleasant aroma to Yahweh, with its meal offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one male goat for a sin offering.

Then it shall be, if [ought] be committed H6213 (NiphPerf) by ignorance H7684 without the knowledge H5869 of the congregation, H5712 that all the congregation H5712 shall offer H6213 (QalPerf) one H259 young H1121 H1241 bullock H6499 for a burnt offering, H5930 for a sweet H5207 savour H7381 unto the Lord, H3068 with his meat offering, H4503 and his drink offering, H5262 according to the manner, H4941 and one H259 kid H8163 of the goats H5795 for a sin offering. Balaam said to Balak, “Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps Yahweh will come to meet me. Whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.

He returned to him, and behold, he was standing by his burnt offering, he, and all the princes of Moab.

He came to him, and behold, he was standing by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. Balak said to him, “What has Yahweh spoken?”

You shall tell them, ‘This is the offering made by fire which you shall offer to Yahweh: male lambs a year old without defect, two day by day, for a continual burnt offering.

και ερεις προς αυτους ταυτα τα καρπωματα οσα προσαξετε κυριω αμνους ενιαυσιους αμωμους δυο την ημεραν εις ολοκαυτωσιν ενδελεχως

It is a continual burnt offering which was ordained in Mount Sinai for a pleasant aroma, an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

ολοκαυτωμα ενδελεχισμου η γενομενη εν τω ορει σινα εις οσμην ευωδιας κυριω

You shall offer these in addition to the burnt offering of the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering.

Besides the continual burnt offering and its meal offering, you shall offer them and their drink offerings. See that they are without defect.

then it shall happen that to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to Yahweh.

Then there shall be a place H4725 which the Lord H3068 your God H430 shall choose H977 (QalImpf) to cause his name H8034 to dwell H7931 (PielInf) there; thither shall ye bring H935 (HiphImpf) all that I command H6680 (PielPtc) you; your burnt offerings, H5930 and your sacrifices, H2077 your tithes, H4643 and the heave offering H8641 of your hand, H3027 and all your choice H4005 vows H5088 which ye vow H5087 (QalImpf) unto the Lord: H3068

και εσται ο τοπος ον αν εκλεξηται κυριος ο θεος υμων επικληθηναι το ονομα αυτου εκει εκει οισετε παντα οσα εγω εντελλομαι υμιν σημερον τα ολοκαυτωματα υμων και τα θυσιασματα υμων και τα επιδεκατα υμων και τας απαρχας των χειρων υμων και τα δοματα υμων και παν εκλεκτον των δωρων υμων οσα εαν ευξησθε τω θεω υμων

Be careful that you don’t offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see;

Take heed H8104 (NiphImpv) to thyself that thou offer H5927 (HiphImpf) not thy burnt offerings H5930 in every place H4725 that thou seest: H7200 (QalImpf)

προσεχε σεαυτω μη ανενεγκης τα ολοκαυτωματα σου εν παντι τοπω ου εαν ιδης

but in the place which Yahweh chooses in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.

But in the place H4725 which the Lord H3068 shall choose H977 (QalImpf) in one H259 of thy tribes, H7626 there thou shalt offer H5927 (HiphImpf) thy burnt offerings, H5930 and there thou shalt do H6213 (QalImpf) all that I command H6680 (PielPtc) thee.

αλλ η εις τον τοπον ον αν εκλεξηται κυριος ο θεος σου αυτον εν μια των φυλων σου εκει ανοισεις τα ολοκαυτωματα σου και εκει ποιησεις παντα οσα εγω εντελλομαι σοι σημερον

You shall offer your burnt offerings, the meat and the blood, on Yahweh your God’s altar. The blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on Yahweh your God’s altar, and you shall eat the meat.

And thou shalt offer H6213 (QalPerf) thy burnt offerings, H5930 the flesh H1320 and the blood, H1818 upon the altar H4196 of the Lord H3068 thy God: H430 and the blood H1818 of thy sacrifices H2077 shall be poured out H8210 (NiphImpf) upon the altar H4196 of the Lord H3068 thy God, H430 and thou shalt eat H398 (QalImpf) the flesh. You shall build Yahweh your God’s altar of uncut stones. You shall offer burnt offerings on it to Yahweh your God.

as Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses: an altar of uncut stones, on which no one had lifted up any iron. They offered burnt offerings on it to Yahweh and sacrificed peace offerings.

H8002

(9:2Β) καθοτι ενετειλατο μωυσης ο θεραπων κυριου τοις υιοις ισραηλ καθα γεγραπται εν τω νομω μωυση θυσιαστηριον λιθων ολοκληρων εφ ους ουκ επεβληθη σιδηρος και ανεβιβασεν εκει ολοκαυτωματα κυριω και θυσιαν σωτηριου

that we have built us an altar to turn away from following Yahweh; or if to offer burnt offering or meal offering, or if to offer sacrifices of peace offerings, let Yahweh himself require it.

That we have built H1129 (QalInf) us an altar H4196 to turn H7725 (QalInf) from following H310 the Lord, H3068 or if to offer H5927 (HiphInf) thereon burnt offering H5930 or meat offering, H4503 or if to offer H6213 (QalInf) peace H8002 offerings H2077 thereon, let the Lord H3068 himself require H1245 (PielImpf) [it];

και ει ωκοδομησαμεν αυτοις βωμον ωστε αποστηναι απο κυριου του θεου ημων ωστε αναβιβασαι επ αυτον θυσιαν ολοκαυτωματων η ωστε ποιησαι επ αυτου θυσιαν σωτηριου κυριος εκζητησει

“Therefore we said, ‘Let’s now prepare to build ourselves an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice;

Therefore we said, H559 (QalImpf) Let us now prepare H6213 (QalImpf) to build H1129 (QalInf) us an altar, H4196 not for burnt offering, H5930 nor for sacrifice: H2077

και ειπαμεν ποιησαι ουτως του οικοδομησαι τον βωμον τουτον ουχ ενεκεν καρπωματων ουδε ενεκεν θυσιων

but it will be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, that we may perform the service of Yahweh before him with our burnt offerings, with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings;’ that your children may not tell our children in time to come, ‘You have no portion in Yahweh.’

But [that] it [may be] a witness H5707 between us, and you, and our generations H1755 after H310 us, that we might do H5647 (QalInf) the service H5656 of the Lord H3068 before H6440 him with our burnt offerings, H5930 and with our sacrifices, H2077 and with our peace offerings; H8002 that your children H1121 may not say H559 (QalImpf) to our children H1121 in time to come, H4279 Ye have no part H2506 in the Lord. H3068

αλλ ινα η τουτο μαρτυριον ανα μεσον ημων και υμων και ανα μεσον των γενεων ημων μεθ ημας του λατρευειν λατρειαν κυριω εναντιον αυτου εν τοις καρπωμασιν ημων και εν ταις θυσιαις ημων και εν ταις θυσιαις των σωτηριων ημων και ουκ ερουσιν τα τεκνα υμων τοις τεκνοις ημων αυριον ουκ εστιν υμιν μερις κυριου

“Therefore we said, ‘It shall be, when they tell us or our generations this in time to come, that we shall say, “Behold the pattern of Yahweh’s altar, which our fathers made, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice; but it is a witness between us and you.” ’

Therefore said H559 (QalImpf) we, that it shall be, when they should [so] say H559 (QalImpf) to us or to our generations H1755 in time to come, H4279 that we may say H559 (QalPerf) [again], Behold H7200 (QalImpv) the pattern H8403 of the altar H4196 of the Lord, H3068 which our fathers H1 made, H6213 (QalPerf) not for burnt offerings, H5930 nor for sacrifices; H2077 but it [is] a witness H5707 between us and you.

και ειπαμεν εαν γενηται ποτε και λαλησωσιν προς ημας και ταις γενεαις ημων αυριον και ερουσιν ιδετε ομοιωμα του θυσιαστηριου κυριου ο εποιησαν οι πατερες ημων ουχ ενεκεν καρπωματων ουδε ενεκεν θυσιων αλλα μαρτυριον εστιν ανα μεσον υμων και ανα μεσον ημων και ανα μεσον των υιων ημων

“Far be it from us that we should rebel against Yahweh, and turn away today from following Yahweh, to build an altar for burnt offering, for meal offering, or for sacrifice, besides Yahweh our God’s altar that is before his tabernacle!”

God forbid H2486 that we should rebel H4775 (QalInf) against the Lord, H3068 and turn H7725 (QalInf) this day H3117 from following H310 the Lord, H3068 to build H1129 (QalInf) an altar H4196 for burnt offerings, H5930 for meat offerings, H4503 or for sacrifices, H2077 beside the altar H4196 of the Lord H3068 our God H430 that [is] before H6440 his tabernacle. H4908

μη γενοιτο ουν ημας αποστραφηναι απο κυριου εν ταις σημερον ημεραις αποστηναι απο κυριου ωστε οικοδομησαι ημας θυσιαστηριον τοις καρπωμασιν και ταις θυσιαις σαλαμιν και τη θυσια του σωτηριου πλην του θυσιαστηριου κυριου ο εστιν εναντιον της σκηνης αυτου

Then build an altar to Yahweh your God on the top of this stronghold, in an orderly way, and take the second bull, and offer a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah which you shall cut down.”

And build H1129 (QalPerf) an altar H4196 unto the Lord H3068 thy God H430 upon the top H7218 of this rock, H4581 in the ordered place, H4634 and take H3947 (QalPerf) the second H8145 bullock, H6499 and offer H5927 (HiphPerf) a burnt sacrifice H5930 with the wood H6086 of the grove H842 which thou shalt cut down. H3772 (QalImpf)

και οικοδομησεις θυσιαστηριον κυριω τω θεω σου τω οφθεντι σοι επι της κορυφης του ορους μαωζ τουτου εν τη παραταξει και λημψη τον μοσχον και ανοισεις ολοκαυτωμα εν τοις ξυλοις του αλσους ου εκκοψεις

then it shall be, that whatever comes out of the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, it shall be Yahweh’s, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.”

Then it shall be, that whatsoever H3318 (QalActPtc) cometh forth H3318 (QalImpf) of the doors H1817 of my house H1004 to meet H7125 (QalInf) me, when I return H7725 (QalInf) in peace H7965 from the children H1121 of Ammon, H5983 shall surely be the Lord’s, H3068 and I will offer it up H5927 (HiphPerf) for a burnt offering. H5930

και εσται ος αν εξελθη εκ των θυρων του οικου μου εις απαντησιν μου εν τω επιστρεψαι με εν ειρηνη απο των υιων αμμων και εσται τω κυριω και ανοισω αυτον ολοκαυτωμα

Yahweh’s angel said to Manoah, “Though you detain me, I won’t eat your bread. If you will prepare a burnt offering, you must offer it to Yahweh.” For Manoah didn’t know that he was Yahweh’s angel.

And the angel H4397 of the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Manoah, H4495 Though thou detain H6113 (QalImpf) me, I will not eat H398 (QalImpf) of thy bread: H3899 and if H518 thou wilt offer H6213 (QalImpf) a burnt offering, H5930 thou must offer H5927 (HiphImpf) it unto the Lord. H3068 For Manoah H4495 knew H3045 (QalPerf) not that he [was] an angel H4397 of the Lord. H3068

και ειπεν ο αγγελος κυριου προς μανωε εαν βιαση με ου φαγομαι των αρτων σου και εαν ποιησης ολοκαυτωμα κυριω ανοισεις αυτο οτι ουκ εγνω μανωε οτι αγγελος κυριου εστιν

But his wife said to him, “If Yahweh were pleased to kill us, he wouldn’t have received a burnt offering and a meal offering at our hand, and he wouldn’t have shown us all these things, nor would he have told us such things as these at this time.”

But his wife H802 said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, If H3863 the Lord H3068 were pleased H2654 (QalPerf) to kill H4191 (HiphInf) us, he would not have received H3947 (QalPerf) a burnt offering H5930 and a meat offering H4503 at our hands, H3027 neither would he have shewed H7200 (HiphPerf) us all these [things], nor would as at this time H6256 have told H8085 (HiphPerf) us [such things] as these. και ειπεν αυτω η γυνη αυτου ει εβουλετο κυριος θανατωσαι ημας ουκ αν εδεξατο εκ των χειρων ημων ολοκαυτωμα και θυσιαν και ουκ αν εφωτισεν ημας παντα ταυτα και ουκ αν ακουστα εποιησεν ημιν ταυτα
