Utter a parable to the rebellious house, and tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says, “Put the cauldron on the fire. Put it on, and also pour water into it.

And utter H4911 (QalImpv) a parable H4912 unto the rebellious H4805 house, H1004 and say H559 (QalPerf) unto them, Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Set on H8239 (QalImpv) a pot, H5518 set it on, H8239 (QalImpv) and also pour H3332 (QalImpv) water H4325 into it:

και ειπον επι τον οικον τον παραπικραινοντα παραβολην και ερεις προς αυτους ταδε λεγει κυριος επιστησον τον λεβητα και εκχεον εις αυτον υδωρ

“ ‘Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “Woe to the bloody city, to the cauldron whose rust is in it, and whose rust hasn’t gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece without casting lots for it.

Wherefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Woe H188 to the bloody H1818 city, H5892 to the pot H5518 whose scum H2457 is therein, and whose scum H2457 is not gone out H3318 (QalPerf) of it! bring it out H3318 (HiphImpv) piece H5409 by piece; H5409 let no lot H1486 fall H5307 (QalPerf) upon it.

δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος ω πολις αιματων λεβης εν ω εστιν ιος εν αυτω και ο ιος ουκ εξηλθεν εξ αυτης κατα μελος αυτης εξηνεγκεν ουκ επεσεν επ αυτην κληρος

“ ‘Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “Woe to the bloody city! I also will make the pile great.

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Woe H188 to the bloody H1818 city! H5892 I will even make the pile H4071 for fire great. H1431 (HiphImpf)

δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος καγω μεγαλυνω τον δαλον

Also Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων

The people asked me, “Won’t you tell us what these things mean to us, that you act like this?”

και ειπεν προς με ο λαος ουκ αναγγελεις ημιν τι εστιν ταυτα α συ ποιεις

Then I said to them, “Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

και ειπα προς αυτους λογος κυριου προς με εγενετο λεγων

‘Speak to the house of Israel, “The Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind will fall by the sword.

και ερεις τοις υιοις αμμων ακουσατε λογον κυριου ταδε λεγει κυριος ανθ ων επεχαρητε επι τα αγια μου οτι εβεβηλωθη και επι την γην του ισραηλ οτι ηφανισθη και επι τον οικον του ιουδα οτι επορευθησαν εν αιχμαλωσια

For the Lord Yahweh says: “Because you have clapped your hands, stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the contempt of your soul against the land of Israel,

“ ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and taken revenge on them,”

Ezekiel 25:15 Or, with perpetual hatred

δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος ανθ ων εποιησαν οι αλλοφυλοι εν εκδικησει και εξανεστησαν εκδικησιν επιχαιροντες εκ ψυχης του εξαλειψαι εως αιωνος

therefore the Lord Yahweh says, “Behold, I will stretch out my hand on the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος ιδου εγω εκτενω την χειρα μου επι τους αλλοφυλους και εξολεθρευσω κρητας και απολω τους καταλοιπους τους κατοικουντας την παραλιαν

In the eleventh year, in the first of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

και εγενηθη εν τω ενδεκατω ετει μια του μηνος εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων

“Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, ‘Aha! She is broken! She who was the gateway of the peoples has been returned to me. I will be replenished, now that she is laid waste;’

υιε ανθρωπου ανθ ων ειπεν σορ επι ιερουσαλημ ευγε συνετριβη απολωλεν τα εθνη επεστραφη προς με η πληρης ηρημωται

therefore the Lord Yahweh says, ‘Behold, I am against you, Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against you, as the sea causes its waves to come up.

δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος ιδου εγω επι σε σορ και αναξω επι σε εθνη πολλα ως αναβαινει η θαλασσα τοις κυμασιν αυτης

“For the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I will bring on Tyre Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, from the north, with horses, with chariots, with horsemen, and an army with many people.

“The Lord Yahweh says to Tyre: ‘Won’t the islands shake at the sound of your fall, when the wounded groan, when the slaughter is made within you?

διοτι ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος τη σορ ουκ απο φωνης της πτωσεως σου εν τω στεναξαι τραυματιας εν τω σπασαι μαχαιραν εν μεσω σου σεισθησονται αι νησοι

They will take up a lamentation over you, and tell you, “How you are destroyed, who were inhabited by seafaring men, the renowned city, who was strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, who caused their terror to be on all who lived there!”

And they shall take up H5375 (QalPerf) a lamentation H7015 for thee, and say H559 (QalPerf) to thee, How art thou destroyed, H6 (QalPerf) that wast inhabited H3427 (NiphPtc) of seafaring^§ men, H3220 the renowned H1984 (PualPtc) city, H5892 which wast strong H2389 in the sea, H3220 she and her inhabitants, H3427 (QalActPtc) which cause H5414 (QalPerf) their terror H2851 to be on all that haunt H3427 (QalActPtc) it!

Ezekiel 26:17 Heb. of the seas

και λημψονται επι σε θρηνον και ερουσιν σοι πως κατελυθης εκ θαλασσης η πολις η επαινεστη η δουσα τον φοβον αυτης πασι τοις κατοικουσιν αυτην

“For the Lord Yahweh says: ‘When I make you a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited, when I bring up the deep on you, and the great waters cover you,

οτι ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος οταν δω σε πολιν ηρημωμενην ως τας πολεις τας μη κατοικηθησομενας εν τω αναγαγειν με επι σε την αβυσσον και κατακαλυψη σε υδωρ πολυ

Yahweh’s word came again to me, saying,

The word H1697 of the Lord H3068 came again unto me, saying, H559 (QalInf)

και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων

and tell Tyre, ‘You who dwell at the entry of the sea, who are the merchant of the peoples to many islands, the Lord Yahweh says: “You, Tyre, have said, ‘I am perfect in beauty.’

and say H559 (QalPerf) unto Tyrus, H6865 O thou that art situate H3427 (QalActPtc) at the entry H3997 of the sea, H3220 which art a merchant H7402 (QalActPtc) of the people H5971 for many H7227 isles, H339 Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 O Tyrus, H6865 thou hast said, H559 (QalPerf) I am of perfect H3632 beauty.^§ H3308

και ερεις τη σορ τη κατοικουση επι της εισοδου της θαλασσης τω εμποριω των λαων απο νησων πολλων ταδε λεγει κυριος τη σορ συ ειπας εγω περιεθηκα εμαυτη καλλος μου

Ezekiel 28:9 Or, woundeth

μη λεγων ερεις θεος ειμι εγω ενωπιον των αναιρουντων σε συ δε ει ανθρωπος και ου θεος εν πληθει

Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

“Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and tell him, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “You were the seal of full measure, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

υιε ανθρωπου λαβε θρηνον επι τον αρχοντα τυρου και ειπον αυτω ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος συ αποσφραγισμα ομοιωσεως και στεφανος καλλους

Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

Again the word H1697 of the Lord H3068 came unto me, saying, H559 (QalInf)

και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων

and say, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I am against you, Sidon. I will be glorified among you. Then they will know that I am Yahweh, when I have executed judgments in her, and am sanctified in her.

and say, H559 (QalPerf) Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon; H6721 and I will be glorified H3513 (NiphPerf) in the midst H8432 of thee: and they shall know H3045 (QalPerf) that I am the Lord, H3068 when I shall have executed H6213 (QalInf) judgments H8201 in her, and shall be sanctified H6942 (NiphPerf) in her.

και ειπον ταδε λεγει κυριος ιδου εγω επι σε σιδων και ενδοξασθησομαι εν σοι και γνωση οτι εγω ειμι κυριος εν τω ποιησαι με εν σοι κριματα και αγιασθησομαι εν σοι

“ ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “When I have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and am shown as holy among them in the sight of the nations, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to my servant Jacob.

εν τω ετει τω δεκατω εν τω δεκατω μηνι μια του μηνος εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων

Speak and say, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster that lies in the middle of his rivers, that has said, ‘My river is my own, and I have made it for myself.’

speak, H1696 (PielImpv) and say, H559 (QalPerf) Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh H6547 king H4428 of Egypt, H4714 the great H1419 dragon H8577 that lieth H7257 (QalActPtc) in the midst H8432 of his rivers, H2975 which hath said, H559 (QalPerf) My river H2975 is mine own, and I have made H6213 (QalPerf) it for myself.

και ειπον ταδε λεγει κυριος ιδου εγω επι φαραω τον δρακοντα τον μεγαν τον εγκαθημενον εν μεσω ποταμων αυτου τον λεγοντα εμοι εισιν οι ποταμοι και εγω εποιησα αυτους

“ ‘Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: “Behold, I will bring a sword on you, and will cut off man and animal from you.

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Behold, I will bring H935 (HiphPtc) a sword H2719 upon thee, and cut off H3772 (HiphPerf) man H120 and beast H929 out of thee.

δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος ιδου εγω επαγω επι σε ρομφαιαν και απολω ανθρωπους απο σου και κτηνη

The land of Egypt will be a desolation and a waste. Then they will know that I am Yahweh. “ ‘ “Because he has said, ‘The river is mine, and I have made it,’

και εσται η γη αιγυπτου απωλεια και ερημος και γνωσονται οτι εγω ειμι κυριος αντι του λεγειν σε οι ποταμοι εμοι εισιν και εγω εποιησα αυτους

“ ‘For the Lord Yahweh says: “At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples where they were scattered.

Yet thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 At the end H7093 of forty H705 years H8141 will I gather H6908 (PielImpf) the Egyptians H4714 from the people H5971 whither they were scattered: H6327 (NiphPerf)

ταδε λεγει κυριος μετα τεσσαρακοντα ετη συναξω τους αιγυπτιους απο των εθνων ου διεσκορπισθησαν εκει

It came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

And it came to pass in the seven H7651 and twentieth H6242 year, H8141 in the first H7223 month, in the first H259 day of the month, H2320 the word H1697 of the Lord H3068 came unto me, saying, H559 (QalInf)

και εγενετο εν τω εβδομω και εικοστω ετει μια του μηνος του πρωτου εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων

Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. He will carry off her multitude, take her plunder, and take her prey. That will be the wages for his army.

therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Behold, I will give H5414 (QalActPtc) the land H776 of Egypt H4714 unto Nebuchadrezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon; H894 and he shall take H5375 (QalPerf) her multitude, H1995 and take H7997 (QalPerf) her spoil, H7998 and take H962 (QalPerf) her prey;^§ H957 and it shall be the wages H7939 for his army. H2428

Ezekiel 29:19 Heb. spoil her spoil and prey her prey

ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος ιδου διδωμι τω ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλει βαβυλωνος γην αιγυπτου και προνομευσει την προνομην αυτης και σκυλευσει τα σκυλα αυτης και εσται μισθος τη δυναμει αυτου

Yahweh’s word came again to me, saying,

The word H1697 of the Lord H3068 came again unto me, saying, H559 (QalInf)

και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων

“Son of man, prophesy, and say, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Wail, ‘Alas for the day!’

Son H1121 of man, H120 prophesy H5012 (NiphImpv) and say, H559 (QalPerf) Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Howl H3213 (HiphImpv) ye, Woe worth H1929 the day! H3117

υιε ανθρωπου προφητευσον και ειπον ταδε λεγει κυριος ω ω η ημερα

“ ‘Yahweh says: “They also who uphold Egypt will fall. The pride of her power will come down. They will fall by the sword in it from the tower of Seveneh,” says the Lord Yahweh.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord; H3068 They also that uphold H5564 (QalActPtc) Egypt H4714 shall fall; H5307 (QalPerf) and the pride H1347 of her power H5797 shall come down: H3381 (QalPerf) from the tower H4024 of Syene H5482 shall they fall H5307 (QalImpf) in it by the sword, H2719 saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord H136 God. H3069

και πεσουνται τα αντιστηριγματα αιγυπτου και καταβησεται η υβρις της ισχυος αυτης απο μαγδωλου εως συηνης μαχαιρα πεσουνται εν αυτη λεγει κυριος

“ ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease, by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 I will also make the multitude H1995 of Egypt H4714 to cease H7673 (HiphPerf) by the hand H3027 of Nebuchadrezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon. H894

ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος και απολω πληθος αιγυπτιων δια χειρος ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεως βαβυλωνος

“ ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause the images to cease from Memphis. There will be no more a prince from the land of Egypt. I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 I will also destroy H6 (HiphPerf) the idols, H1544 and I will cause their images H457 to cease H7673 (HiphPerf) out of Noph; H5297 and there shall be no more a prince H5387 of the land H776 of Egypt: H4714 and I will put H5414 (QalPerf) a fear H3374 in the land H776 of Egypt. H4714

οτι ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος και απολω μεγιστανας απο μεμφεως και αρχοντας εκ γης αιγυπτου και ουκ εσονται ετι

In the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

And it came to pass in the eleventh H259 H6240 year, H8141 in the first H7223 month, in the seventh H7651 day of the month, H2320 that the word H1697 of the Lord H3068 came unto me, saying, H559 (QalInf)

και εγενετο εν τω ενδεκατω ετει εν τω πρωτω μηνι εβδομη του μηνος εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων

Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong arm, and that which was broken. I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H136 God; H3069 Behold, I am against Pharaoh H6547 king H4428 of Egypt, H4714 and will break H7665 (QalPerf) his arms, H2220 the strong, H2389 and that which was broken; H7665 (NiphPtc) and I will cause the sword H2719 to fall H5307 (HiphPerf) out of his hand. H3027

δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος κυριος ιδου εγω επι φαραω βασιλεα αιγυπτου και συντριψω τους βραχιονας αυτου τους ισχυρους και τους τεταμενους και καταβαλω την μαχαιραν αυτου εκ της χειρος αυτου

In the eleventh year, in the third month, in the first day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

And it came to pass in the eleventh H259 H6240 year, H8141 in the third H7992 month, in the first H259 day of the month, H2320 that the word H1697 of the Lord H3068 came unto me, saying, H559 (QalInf)

και εγενετο εν τω ενδεκατω ετει εν τω τριτω μηνι μια του μηνος εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων

“Son of man, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt and his multitude: ‘Whom are you like in your greatness?

Son H1121 of man, H120 speak H559 (QalImpv) unto Pharaoh H6547 king H4428 of Egypt, H4714 and to his multitude; H1995 Whom art thou like H1819 (QalPerf) in thy greatness? H1433
