“The cities which you shall give to the Levites, they shall be the six cities of refuge, which you shall give for the man slayer to flee to. Besides them you shall give forty-two cities.

And among the cities H5892 which ye shall give H5414 (QalImpf) unto the Levites H3881 there shall be six H8337 cities H5892 for refuge, H4733 which ye shall appoint H5414 (QalImpf) for the manslayer, H7523 (QalActPtc) that he may flee H5127 (QalInf) thither: and to them ye shall add^§ H5414 (QalImpf) forty H705 and two H8147 cities. then you shall appoint for yourselves cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the man slayer who kills any person unwittingly may flee there.

και διαστελειτε υμιν αυτοις πολεις φυγαδευτηρια εσται υμιν φυγειν εκει τον φονευτην πας ο παταξας ψυχην ακουσιως

The cities shall be for your refuge from the avenger, that the man slayer not die until he stands before the congregation for judgment.

And they shall be unto you cities H5892 for refuge H4733 from the avenger; H1350 (QalActPtc) that the manslayer H7523 (QalActPtc) die H4191 (QalImpf) not, until he stand H5975 (QalInf) before H6440 the congregation H5712 in judgment. H4941

The cities which you shall give shall be for you six cities of refuge.

και αι πολεις ας δωσετε τας εξ πολεις φυγαδευτηρια εσονται υμιν

You shall give three cities beyond the Jordan, and you shall give three cities in the land of Canaan. They shall be cities of refuge.

τας τρεις πολεις δωσετε εν τω περαν του ιορδανου και τας τρεις πολεις δωσετε εν γη χανααν

These six cities shall be refuge for the children of Israel, for the stranger, and for the foreigner living among them, that everyone who kills any person unwittingly may flee there.

These six H8337 cities H5892 shall be a refuge, H4733 both for the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 and for the stranger, H1616 and for the sojourner H8453 among H8432 them: that every one that killeth H5221 (HiphPtc) any person H5315 unawares H7684 may flee H5127 (QalInf) thither.

φυγαδιον εσται τοις υιοις ισραηλ και τω προσηλυτω και τω παροικω τω εν υμιν εσονται αι πολεις αυται εις φυγαδευτηριον φυγειν εκει παντι παταξαντι ψυχην ακουσιως

The congregation shall deliver the man slayer out of the hand of the avenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to his city of refuge, where he had fled. He shall dwell therein until the death of the high priest, who was anointed with the holy oil.

και εξελειται η συναγωγη τον φονευσαντα απο του αγχιστευοντος το αιμα και αποκαταστησουσιν αυτον η συναγωγη εις την πολιν του φυγαδευτηριου αυτου ου κατεφυγεν και κατοικησει εκει εως αν αποθανη ο ιερευς ο μεγας ον εχρισαν αυτον τω ελαιω τω αγιω

“ ‘But if the man slayer shall at any time go beyond the border of his city of refuge where he flees,

But if the slayer H7523 (QalActPtc) shall at any time H3318 (QalInf) come H3318 (QalImpf) without the border H1366 of the city H5892 of his refuge, H4733 whither he was fled; H5127 (QalImpf)

εαν δε εξοδω εξελθη ο φονευσας τα ορια της πολεως εις ην κατεφυγεν εκει

and the avenger of blood finds him outside of the border of his city of refuge, and the avenger of blood kills the man slayer, he shall not be guilty of blood,

and the revenger H1350 (QalActPtc) of blood H1818 find H4672 (QalPerf) him without H2351 the borders H1366 of the city H5892 of his refuge, H4733 and the revenger H1350 (QalActPtc) of blood H1818 kill H7523 (QalPerf) the slayer; H7523 (QalActPtc) he shall not be guilty of blood:^§ H1818

Numbers 35:27 Heb. no blood shall be to him

και ευρη αυτον ο αγχιστευων το αιμα εξω των οριων της πολεως καταφυγης αυτου και φονευση ο αγχιστευων το αιμα τον φονευσαντα ουκ ενοχος εστιν

because he should have remained in his city of refuge until the death of the high priest. But after the death of the high priest, the man slayer shall return into the land of his possession.

εν γαρ τη πολει της καταφυγης κατοικειτω εως αν αποθανη ο ιερευς ο μεγας και μετα το αποθανειν τον ιερεα τον μεγαν επαναστραφησεται ο φονευσας εις την γην της κατασχεσεως αυτου

“ ‘You shall take no ransom for him who has fled to his city of refuge, that he may come again to dwell in the land before the death of the priest.

They gave to the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh Golan in Bashan with its pasture lands, the city of refuge for the man slayer, and Be Eshterah with its pasture lands: two cities.

Out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its pasture lands, the city of refuge for the man slayer, Hammothdor with its pasture lands, and Kartan with its pasture lands: three cities.

και εκ της φυλης νεφθαλι την πολιν την αφωρισμενην τω φονευσαντι την καδες εν τη γαλιλαια και τα αφωρισμενα αυτη και την εμμαθ και τα αφωρισμενα αυτη και θεμμων και τα αφωρισμενα αυτη πολεις τρεις

Out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its pasture lands, the city of refuge for the man slayer, and Mahanaim with its pasture lands,

και απο της φυλης γαδ την πολιν το φυγαδευτηριον του φονευσαντος την ραμωθ εν τη γαλααδ και τα περισπορια αυτης και την καμιν και τα περισπορια αυτης

To the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge, Hebron, Libnah also with its pasture lands, Jattir, Eshtemoa with its pasture lands,

And to the sons H1121 of Aaron H175 they gave H5414 (QalPerf) the cities H5892 of Judah, namely, Hebron, H2275 the city of refuge, H4733 and Libnah H3841 with her suburbs, H4054 and Jattir, H3492 and Eshtemoa, H851 with their suburbs, H4054
