But at last, Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. I told the dream before him, saying,

“Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you and no secret troubles you, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.

O Belteshazzar, H1096 master H7229 of the magicians, H2749 because I H576 know H3046 (PealPerf) that the spirit H7308 of the holy H6922 gods H426 [is] in thee, and no H3606 H3809 secret H7328 troubleth H598 (PealPtc) thee, tell H560 (PealImpv) me the visions H2376 of my dream H2493 that I have seen, H2370 (PealPerf) and the interpretation H6591 thereof.

βαλτασαρ ο αρχων των επαοιδων ον εγω εγνων οτι πνευμα θεου αγιον εν σοι και παν μυστηριον ουκ αδυνατει σε ακουσον την ορασιν του ενυπνιου ου ειδον και την συγκρισιν αυτου ειπον μοι

δια συγκριματος ιρ ο λογος και ρημα αγιων το επερωτημα ινα γνωσιν οι ζωντες οτι κυριος εστιν ο υψιστος της βασιλειας των ανθρωπων και ω εαν δοξη δωσει αυτην και εξουδενημα ανθρωπων αναστησει επ αυτην

“This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen; and you, Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation, because all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for the spirit of the holy gods is in you.”

τουτο το ενυπνιον ο ειδον εγω ναβουχοδονοσορ ο βασιλευς και συ βαλτασαρ το συγκριμα ειπον οτι παντες οι σοφοι της βασιλειας μου ου δυνανται το συγκριμα αυτου δηλωσαι μοι συ δε δανιηλ δυνασαι οτι πνευμα θεου αγιον εν σοι

“Whereas the king saw a holy watcher coming down from the sky and saying, ‘Cut down the tree, and destroy it; nevertheless leave the stump of its roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and bronze, in the tender grass of the field, and let it be wet with the dew of the sky. Let his portion be with the animals of the field, until seven times pass over him.’

There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him. και λογους προς τον υψιστον λαλησει και τους αγιους υψιστου παλαιωσει και υπονοησει του αλλοιωσαι καιρους και νομον και δοθησεται εν χειρι αυτου εως καιρου και καιρων και ημισυ καιρου

The kingdom and the dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole sky, will be given to the people of the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions will serve and obey him.’

And the kingdom H4437 and dominion, H7985 and the greatness H7238 of the kingdom H4437 under H8460 the whole H3606 heaven, H8065 shall be given H3052 (PealPeiPtc) to the people H5972 of the saints H6922 of the most High, H5946 whose kingdom H4437 [is] an everlasting H5957 kingdom, H4437 and all H3606 dominions H7985 shall serve H6399 (PealImpf) and obey H8086 (ItpaImpf) him.

και η βασιλεια και η εξουσια και η μεγαλωσυνη των βασιλεων των υποκατω παντος του ουρανου εδοθη αγιοις υψιστου και η βασιλεια αυτου βασιλεια αιωνιος και πασαι αι αρχαι αυτω δουλευσουσιν και υπακουσονται
