Someone went in and told his lord, saying, “The girl who is from the land of Israel said this.”

And [one] went in, H935 (QalImpf) and told H5046 (HiphImpf) his lord, H113 saying, H559 (QalInf) Thus and thus said H1696 (PielPerf) the maid H5291 that [is] of the land H776 of Israel. H3478

And one goeth in and declareth to his lord, saying, ‘Thus and thus she hath spoken, the damsel who is from the land of Israel.’

But he said, “As Yahweh lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none.” He urged him to take it; but he refused.

But he said, H559 (QalImpf) [As] the Lord H3068 liveth, H2416 before H6440 whom I stand, H5975 (QalPerf) I will receive H3947 (QalImpf) none. And he urged H6484 (QalImpf) him to take H3947 (QalInf) [it]; but he refused. H3985 (PielImpf)

And he saith, ‘Jehovah liveth, before whom I have stood-if I take it;’ and he presseth on him to take, and he refuseth.

But Gehazi the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, “Behold, my master has spared this Naaman the Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought. As Yahweh lives, I will run after him, and take something from him.”

But Gehazi, H1522 the servant H5288 of Elisha H477 the man H376 of God, H430 said, H559 (QalImpf) Behold, my master H113 hath spared H2820 (QalPerf) Naaman H5283 this Syrian, H761 in not receiving H3947 (QalInf) at his hands H3027 that which he brought: H935 (HiphPerf) but, [as] the Lord H3068 liveth, H2416 I will run H7323 (QalPerf) after H310 him, and take H3947 (QalPerf) somewhat H3972 of him.

And Gehazi, servant of Elisha the man of God, saith, ‘Lo, my lord hath spared Naaman this Aramaean, not to receive from his hand that which he brought; Jehovah liveth; surely if I have run after him, then I have taken from him something.’

The sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “See now, the place where we live and meet with you is too small for us.

And the sons H1121 of the prophets H5030 said H559 (QalImpf) unto H6440 Elisha, H477 Behold now, the place H4725 where we dwell H3427 (QalActPtc) with thee is too strait H6862 for us.

And sons of the prophet say unto Elisha, ‘Lo, we pray thee, the place where we are dwelling before thee is too strait for us;

The king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of; and he saved himself there, not once or twice.

And the king H4428 of Israel H3478 sent H7971 (QalImpf) to the place H4725 which the man H376 of God H430 told H559 (QalPerf) him and warned H2094 (HiphPerf) him of, and saved H8104 (NiphPerf) himself there, not once H259 nor twice. H8147

and the king of Israel sendeth unto the place of which the man of God spake to him, and warned him, and he is preserved there not once nor twice.

One of his servants said, “No, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”

And one H259 of his servants H5650 said, H559 (QalImpf) None, my lord, H113 O king: H4428 but Elisha, H477 the prophet H5030 that [is] in Israel, H3478 telleth H5046 (HiphImpf) the king H4428 of Israel H3478 the words H1697 that thou speakest H1696 (PielImpf) in thy bedchamber. H2315 H4904

And one of his servants saith, ‘Nay, my lord, O king, for Elisha the prophet, who is in Israel, declareth to the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in the inner part of thy bed-chamber.’

He answered, “Don’t be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

And he answered, H559 (QalImpf) Fear H3372 (QalImpf) not: for they that [be] with us [are] more H7227 than they that [be] with them.

And he saith, ‘Fear not, for more are they who are with us than they who are with them.’

Elisha said to them, “This is not the way, neither is this the city. Follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you seek.” He led them to Samaria.

And Elisha H477 said H559 (QalImpf) unto them, This [is] not the way, H1870 neither [is] this H2090 the city: H5892 follow H3212 (QalImpv) H310 me, and I will bring H3212 (HiphImpf) you to the man H376 whom ye seek. H1245 (PielImpf) But he led H3212 (HiphImpf) them to Samaria. H8111

And Elisha saith unto them, ‘This is not the way, nor is this the city; come after me, and I lead you unto the man whom ye seek;’ and he leadeth them to Samaria.

Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, “Behold, if Yahweh made windows in heaven, could this thing be?” He said, “Behold, you will see it with your eyes, but will not eat of it.”

Then a lord H7991 on whose hand H3027 the king H4428 leaned H8172 (NiphPtc) answered H6030 (QalImpf) the man H376 of God, H430 and said, H559 (QalImpf) Behold, [if] the Lord H3068 would make H6213 (QalActPtc) windows H699 in heaven, H8064 might this thing H1697 be? And he said, H559 (QalImpf) Behold, thou shalt see H7200 (QalActPtc) [it] with thine eyes, H5869 but shalt not eat H398 (QalImpf) thereof.

And the captain whom the king hath, by whose hand he hath been supported, answereth the man of God and saith, ‘Lo, Jehovah is making windows in the heavens-shall this thing be?’ and he saith, ‘Lo, thou art seeing it with thine eyes, and thereof thou dost not eat.’

The king arose in the night, and said to his servants, “I will now show you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we are hungry. Therefore they have gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, ‘When they come out of the city, we shall take them alive, and get into the city.’ ”

And the king H4428 arose H6965 (QalImpf) in the night, H3915 and said H559 (QalImpf) unto his servants, H5650 I will now shew H5046 (HiphImpf) you what the Syrians H758 have done H6213 (QalPerf) to us. They know H3045 (QalPerf) that we [be] hungry; H7457 therefore are they gone out H3318 (QalImpf) of the camp H4264 to hide H2247 (NiphInf) themselves in the field, H7704 saying, H559 (QalInf) When they come out H3318 (QalImpf) of the city, H5892 we shall catch H8610 (QalImpf) them alive, H2416 and get H935 (QalImpf) into the city. And the king riseth by night, and saith unto his servants, ‘Let me declare, I pray you, to you that which the Aramaeans have done to us; they have known that we are famished, and they are gone out from the camp to be hidden in the field, saying, When they come out from the city, then we catch them alive, and unto the city we enter.’

One of his servants answered, “Please let some people take five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city. Behold, they are like all the multitude of Israel who are left in it. Behold, they are like all the multitude of Israel who are consumed. Let’s send and see.”

And one H259 of his servants H5650 answered H6030 (QalImpf) and said, H559 (QalImpf) Let [some] take, H3947 (QalImpf) I pray thee, five H2568 of the horses H5483 that remain, H7604 (NiphPtc) which are left H7604 (NiphPerf) in the city, (behold, they [are] as all the multitude H1995 of Israel H3478 that are left H7604 (NiphPerf) in it: behold, [I say], they [are] even as all the multitude H1995 of the Israelites H3478 that are consumed: H8552 (QalPerf)) and let us send H7971 (QalImpf) and see. And one of his servants answereth and saith, ‘Then let them take, I pray thee, five of the horses that are left, that have been left in it-lo, they are as all the multitude of Israel who have been left in it; lo, they are as all the multitude of Israel who have been consumed-and we send and see.’

They went after them to the Jordan; and behold, all the path was full of garments and equipment which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. The messengers returned and told the king.

And they went H3212 (QalImpf) after H310 them unto Jordan: H3383 and, lo, all the way H1870 [was] full H4392 of garments H899 and vessels, H3627 which the Syrians H758 had cast away H7993 (HiphPerf) in their haste. And they go after them unto the Jordan, and lo, all the way is full of garments and vessels that the Aramaeans have cast away in their haste, and the messengers turn back and declare to the king.

The king had appointed the captain on whose hand he leaned to be in charge of the gate; and the people trampled over him in the gate, and he died as the man of God had said, who spoke when the king came down to him.

And the king H4428 appointed H6485 (HiphPerf) the lord H7991 on whose hand H3027 he leaned H8172 (NiphPtc) to have the charge of the gate: H8179 and the people H5971 trode H7429 (QalImpf) upon him in the gate, H8179 and he died, H4191 (QalImpf) as the man H376 of God H430 had said, H1696 (PielPerf) who spake H1696 (PielPerf) when the king H4428 came down H3381 (QalInf) to him.

And the king hath appointed the captain, by whose hand he is supported, over the gate, and the people tread him down in the gate, and he dieth, as the man of God spake, which he spake in the coming down of the king unto him,

Now Elisha had spoken to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying, “Arise, and go, you and your household, and stay for a while wherever you can; for Yahweh has called for a famine. It will also come on the land for seven years.”

Then spake H1696 (PielPerf) Elisha H477 unto the woman, H802 whose son H1121 he had restored to life, H2421 (HiphPerf) saying, H559 (QalInf) Arise, H6965 (QalImpv) and go H3212 (QalImpv) thou and thine household, H1004 and sojourn H1481 (QalImpv) wheresoever H834 thou canst sojourn: H1481 (QalImpf) for the Lord H3068 hath called H7121 (QalPerf) for a famine; H7458 and it shall also come H935 (QalPerf) upon the land H776 seven H7651 years. And Elisha spake unto the woman whose son he had revived, saying, ‘Rise and go, thou and thy household, and sojourn where thou dost sojourn, for Jehovah hath called for a famine, and also, it is coming unto the land seven years.’

As he was telling the king how he had restored to life him who was dead, behold, the woman whose son he had restored to life begged the king for her house and for her land. Gehazi said, “My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.”

And it came to pass, as he was telling H5608 (PielPtc) the king H4428 how he had restored H2421 a dead body H4191 (QalPtc) to life, H2421 (HiphPerf) that, behold, the woman, H802 whose son H1121 he had restored to life, H2421 (HiphPerf) cried H6817 (QalActPtc) to the king H4428 for her house H1004 and for her land. H7704 And Gehazi H1522 said, H559 (QalImpf) My lord, H113 O king, H4428 this [is] the woman, H802 and this [is] her son, H1121 whom Elisha H477 restored to life. H2421 (HiphPerf)

And it cometh to pass, he is recounting to the king how he had revived the dead, and lo, the woman whose son he had revived is crying unto the king, for her house and for her field, and Gehazi saith, ‘My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this her son, whom Elisha revived.’

King Joram returned to be healed in Jezreel from the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. Ahaziah the son of Jehoram, king of Judah, went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.

And king H4428 Joram H3141 went back H7725 (QalImpf) to be healed H7495 (HithInf) in Jezreel H3157 of the wounds H4347 which the Syrians H761 had given H5221 (HiphImpf) him at Ramah, H7414 when he fought H3898 (NiphInf) against Hazael H2371 king H4428 of Syria. H758 And Ahaziah H274 the son H1121 of Jehoram H3088 king H4428 of Judah H3063 went down H3381 (QalPerf) to see H7200 (QalInf) Joram H3141 the son H1121 of Ahab H256 in Jezreel, H3157 because he was sick. H2470 (QalActPtc)

and Joram the king turneth back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds with which the Arameans smite him in Ramah, in his fighting with Hazael king of Aram, and Ahaziah son of Jehoram king of Judah hath gone down to see Joram son of Ahab in Jezreel, for he is sick.

but King Joram had returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) Jehu said, “If this is your thinking, then let no one escape and go out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.”

But king H4428 Joram H3088 was returned H7725 (QalImpf) to be healed H7495 (HithInf) in Jezreel H3157 of the wounds H4347 which the Syrians H761 had given H5221 (HiphImpf) him, when he fought H3898 (NiphInf) with Hazael H2371 king H4428 of Syria. H758) And Jehu H3058 said, H559 (QalImpf) If it be H3426 your minds, H5315 [then] let none H408 go forth H3318 (QalImpf) [nor] escape H6412 out of the city H5892 to go H3212 (QalInf) to tell H5046 (HiphInf) [it] in Jezreel. and king Joram turneth back to be healed in Jezreel, of the wounds with which the Aramaeans smite him, in his fighting with Hazael king of Aram)-and Jehu saith, ‘If it is your mind, let not an escaped one go out from the city, to go to declare it in Jezreel.’

But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. Jehu followed after him, and said, “Strike him also in the chariot!” They struck him at the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. He fled to Megiddo, and died there.

But when Ahaziah H274 the king H4428 of Judah H3063 saw H7200 (QalPerf) [this], he fled H5127 (QalImpf) by the way H1870 of the garden H1588 house. H1004 And Jehu H3058 followed H7291 (QalImpf) after H310 him, and said, H559 (QalImpf) Smite H5221 (HiphImpv) him also in the chariot. H4818 [And they did so] at the going up H4608 to Gur, H1483 which [is] by Ibleam. H2991 And he fled H5127 (QalImpf) to Megiddo, H4023 and died H4191 (QalImpf) there.

And Ahaziah king of Judah hath seen, and fleeth the way of the garden-house, and Jehu pursueth after him, and saith, ‘Smite him-also him-in the chariot,’ in the going up to Gur, that is Ibleam, and he fleeth to Megiddo, and dieth there,

Therefore they came back, and told him. He said, “This is Yahweh’s word, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, ‘The dogs will eat the flesh of Jezebel on the plot of Jezreel,

Wherefore they came again, H7725 (QalImpf) and told H5046 (HiphImpf) him. And he said, H559 (QalImpf) This [is] the word H1697 of the Lord, H3068 which he spake H1696 (PielPerf) by H3027 his servant H5650 Elijah H452 the Tishbite, H8664 saying, H559 (QalInf) In the portion H2506 of Jezreel H3157 shall dogs H3611 eat H398 (QalImpf) the flesh H1320 of Jezebel: H348

And they turn back, and declare to him, and he saith, ‘The word of Jehovah it is, that He spake by the hand of this servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel do the dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel,

and the body of Jezebel will be as dung on the surface of the field on Jezreel’s land, so that they won’t say, “This is Jezebel.” ’ ”

And the carcase H5038 of Jezebel H348 shall be as dung H1828 upon the face H6440 of the field H7704 in the portion H2506 of Jezreel; H3157 [so] that they shall not say, H559 (QalImpf) This [is] Jezebel. H348

and the carcase of Jezebel hath been as dung on the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel, that they say not, This is Jezebel.’

He who was over the household, and he who was over the city, the elders also, and those who raised the children, sent to Jehu, saying, “We are your servants, and will do all that you ask us. We will not make any man king. You do that which is good in your eyes.”

And he that [was] over the house, H1004 and he that [was] over the city, H5892 the elders H2205 also, and the bringers up H539 (QalActPtc) [of the children], sent H7971 (QalImpf) to Jehu, H3058 saying, H559 (QalInf) We [are] thy servants, H5650 and will do H6213 (QalImpf) all that thou shalt bid H559 (QalImpf) us; we will not make any H376 king: H4427 (HiphImpf) do H6213 (QalImpv) thou [that which is] good H2896 in thine eyes. H5869

And he who is over the house, and he who is over the city, and the elders, and the supporters, send unto Jehu, saying, ‘Thy servants we are, and all that thou sayest unto us we do; we do not make any one king-that which is good in thine eyes do.’

Know now that nothing will fall to the earth of Yahweh’s word, which Yahweh spoke concerning Ahab’s house. For Yahweh has done that which he spoke by his servant Elijah.”

Know H3045 (QalImpv) now H645 that there shall fall H5307 (QalImpf) unto the earth H776 nothing of the word H1697 of the Lord, H3068 which the Lord H3068 spake H1696 (PielPerf) concerning the house H1004 of Ahab: H256 for the Lord H3068 hath done H6213 (QalPerf) [that] which he spake H1696 (PielPerf) by H3027 his servant H5650 Elijah. H452

Know ye now, that nothing doth fall of the word of Jehovah to the earth that Jehovah spake against the house of Ahab, and Jehovah hath done that which He spake by the hand of His servant Elijah.’

When he came to Samaria, he struck all who remained to Ahab in Samaria, until he had destroyed them, according to Yahweh’s word which he spoke to Elijah.

And when he came H935 (QalImpf) to Samaria, H8111 he slew H5221 (HiphImpf) all that remained H7604 (NiphPtc) unto Ahab H256 in Samaria, H8111 till he had destroyed H8045 (HiphPerf) him, according to the saying H1697 of the Lord, H3068 which he spake H1696 (PielPerf) to Elijah. H452

And he cometh in to Samaria, and smiteth all those left to Ahab in Samaria, till his destroying him, according to the word of Jehovah that He spake unto Elisha.

Now therefore call to me all the prophets of Baal, all of his worshipers, and all of his priests. Let no one be absent, for I have a great sacrifice to Baal. Whoever is absent, he shall not live.” But Jehu did deceptively, intending to destroy the worshipers of Baal.

Now therefore call H7121 (QalImpv) unto me all the prophets H5030 of Baal, H1168 all his servants, H5647 (QalActPtc) and all his priests; H3548 let none H376 be wanting: H6485 (NiphImpf) for I have a great H1419 sacrifice H2077 [to do] to Baal; H1168 whosoever shall be wanting, H6485 (NiphImpf) he shall not live. H2421 (QalImpf) But Jehu H3058 did H6213 (QalPerf) [it] in subtilty, H6122 to the intent that he might destroy H6 (HiphInf) the worshippers H5647 (QalActPtc) of Baal. H1168

and now, all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests, call ye unto me; let not a man be lacking, for a great sacrifice I have for Baal; every one who is lacking-he doth not live;’ and Jehu hath done it in subtilty, in order to destroy the servants of Baal.

Jehu sent through all Israel; and all the worshipers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that didn’t come. They came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was filled from one end to another.

And Jehu H3058 sent H7971 (QalImpf) through all Israel: H3478 and all the worshippers H5647 (QalActPtc) of Baal H1168 came, H935 (QalImpf) so that there was not a man H376 left H7604 (NiphPerf) that came H935 (QalPerf) not. And they came H935 (QalImpf) into the house H1004 of Baal; H1168 and the house H1004 of Baal H1168 was full H4390 (NiphImpf) from one end H6310 to another. H6310

And Jehu sendeth into all Israel, and all the servants of Baal come in, and there hath not been left a man who hath not come in; and they come in to the house of Baal, and the house of Baal is full-mouth to mouth.

He said to him who kept the wardrobe, “Bring out robes for all the worshipers of Baal!” So he brought robes out to them.

And he said H559 (QalImpf) unto him that [was] over the vestry, H4458 Bring forth H3318 (HiphImpv) vestments H3830 for all the worshippers H5647 (QalActPtc) of Baal. H1168 And he brought them forth H3318 (HiphImpf) vestments. H4403

And he saith to him who is over the wardrobe, ‘Bring out clothing to all servants of Baal;’ and he bringeth out to them the clothing.

So they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had appointed for himself eighty men outside, and said, “If any of the men whom I bring into your hands escape, he who lets him go, his life shall be for the life of him.”

And when they went in H935 (QalImpf) to offer H6213 (QalInf) sacrifices H2077 and burnt offerings, H5930 Jehu H3058 appointed H7760 (QalPerf) fourscore H8084 men H376 without, H2351 and said, H559 (QalImpf) [If] any H376 of the men H582 whom I have brought H935 (HiphPtc) into your hands H3027 escape, H4422 (NiphImpf) [he that letteth him go], his life H5315 [shall be] for the life H5315 of him.

And they come in to make sacrifices and burnt-offerings, and Jehu hath set for himself in an out-place eighty men, and saith, ‘The man who letteth escape any of the men whom I am bringing in unto your hand-his soul for his soul.’

However, Jehu didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin—the golden calves that were in Bethel and that were in Dan.

Howbeit [from] the sins H2399 of Jeroboam H3379 the son H1121 of Nebat, H5028 who made Israel H3478 to sin, H2398 (HiphPerf) Jehu H3058 departed H5493 (QalPerf) not from after H310 them, [to wit], the golden H2091 calves H5695 that [were] in Bethel, H1008 and that [were] in Dan. H1835

only-the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, that he caused Israel to sin, Jehu hath not turned aside from after them-the calves of gold that are at Beth-El, and in Dan.

Yahweh said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in executing that which is right in my eyes, and have done to Ahab’s house according to all that was in my heart, your descendants shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”

And the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto Jehu, H3058 Because thou hast done well H2895 (HiphPerf) in executing H6213 (QalInf) [that which is] right H3477 in mine eyes, H5869 [and] hast done H6213 (QalPerf) unto the house H1004 of Ahab H256 according to all that [was] in mine heart, H3824 thy children H1121 of the fourth H7243 [generation] shall sit H3427 (QalImpf) on the throne H3678 of Israel. H3478

And Jehovah saith unto Jehu, ‘Because that thou hast done well, to do that which is right in Mine eyes-according to all that is in My heart thou hast done to the house of Ahab-the sons of the fourth generation do sit for thee on the throne of Israel.’

But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of Yahweh, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam, with which he made Israel to sin.

But Jehu H3058 took no heed H8104 (QalPerf) to walk H3212 (QalInf) in the law H8451 of the Lord H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478 with all his heart: H3824 for he departed H5493 (QalPerf) not from the sins H2403 of Jeroboam, H3379 which made Israel H3478 to sin. H2398 (HiphPerf)

And Jehu hath not taken heed to walk in the law of Jehovah, God of Israel, with all his heart, he hath not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam, that he caused Israel to sin.

from the Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.

From Jordan H3383 eastward, H4217 H8121 all the land H776 of Gilead, H1568 the Gadites, H1425 and the Reubenites, H7206 and the Manassites, H4520 from Aroer, H6177 which [is] by the river H5158 Arnon, H769 even Gilead H1568 and Bashan. H1316

from the Jordan, at the sun-rising, the whole land of Gilead, of the Gadite, and the Reubenite, and the Manassahite (from Aroer, that is by the brook Arnon), even Gilead and Bashan.

The time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty-eight years.

And the time H3117 that Jehu H3058 reigned H4427 (QalPerf) over Israel H3478 in Samaria H8111 [was] twenty H6242 and eight H8083 years. H8141

And the days that Jehu hath reigned over Israel are twenty and eight years, in Samaria.

The priest delivered to the captains over hundreds the spears and shields that had been King David’s, which were in Yahweh’s house.

And to the captains H8269 over hundreds H3967 did the priest H3548 give H5414 (QalImpf) king H4428 David’s H1732 spears H2595 and shields, H7982 that [were] in the temple H1004 of the Lord. H3068

and the priest giveth to the heads of the hundreds the spears and the shields that king David had, that are in the house of Jehovah.

Jehoash did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes all his days in which Jehoiada the priest instructed him.

And Jehoash H3060 did H6213 (QalImpf) [that which was] right H3477 in the sight H5869 of the Lord H3068 all his days H3117 wherein Jehoiada H3077 the priest H3548 instructed H3384 (HiphPerf) him.

and Jehoash doth that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah all his days in which Jehoiada the priest directed him,

Jehoash said to the priests, “All the money of the holy things that is brought into Yahweh’s house, in current money, the money of the people for whom each man is evaluated,^† and all the money that it comes into any man’s heart to bring into Yahweh’s house,

2 Kings 12:4 Exodus 30:12

And Jehoash H3060 said H559 (QalImpf) to the priests, H3548 All the money H3701 of the dedicated things H6944 that is brought H935 (HophImpf) into the house H1004 of the Lord, H3068 [even] the money H3701 of every one H376 that passeth H5674 (QalActPtc) [the account], the money H3701 that every man H5315 is set at, H6187 [and] all the money H3701 that cometh H5927 (QalImpf) into any man’s H376 heart H3820 to bring H935 (HiphInf) into the house H1004 of the Lord, H3068

And Jehoash saith unto the priests, ‘All the money of the sanctified things that is brought in to the house of Jehovah, the money of him who is passing over, each the money of his valuation, all the money that it goeth up on the heart of a man to bring in to the house of Jehovah,

let the priests take it to them, each man from his donor; and they shall repair the damage to the house, wherever any damage is found.”

Let the priests H3548 take H3947 (QalImpf) [it] to them, every man H376 of his acquaintance: H4378 and let them repair H2388 (PielImpf) the breaches H919 of the house, H1004 wheresoever any breach H919 shall be found. H4672 (NiphImpf)

do the priests take to them, each from his acquaintance, and they strengthen the breach of the house, in all places where there is found a breach.’

Moreover they didn’t demand an accounting from the men into whose hand they delivered the money to give to those who did the work; for they dealt faithfully.

Moreover they reckoned H2803 (PielImpf) not with the men, H582 into whose hand H3027 they delivered H5414 (QalImpf) the money H3701 to be bestowed H5414 (QalInf) on workmen: H4399 for they dealt H6213 (QalActPtc) faithfully. H530

and they do not reckon with the men into whose hand they give the money to give to those doing the work, for in faithfulness they are dealing.

He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin. He didn’t depart from it.

And he did H6213 (QalImpf) [that which was] evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of the Lord, H3068 and followed H3212 (QalImpf) H310 the sins H2403 of Jeroboam H3379 the son H1121 of Nebat, H5028 which made Israel H3478 to sin; H2398 (HiphPerf) he departed H5493 (QalPerf) not therefrom.

and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and goeth after the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, that he caused Israel to sin-he turned not aside from it,

Nevertheless they didn’t depart from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, with which he made Israel to sin, but walked in them; and the Asherah also remained in Samaria.)

Nevertheless they departed H5493 (QalPerf) not from the sins H2403 of the house H1004 of Jeroboam, H3379 who made Israel H3478 sin, H2398 (HiphPerf) [but] walked H1980 (QalPerf) therein: and there remained H5975 (QalPerf) the grove H842 also in Samaria. H8111)

only, they have not turned aside from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, that he caused Israel to sin, therein they walked, and also, the shrine hath remained in Samaria,-

Now the rest of the acts of Joash, and all that he did, and his might with which he fought against Amaziah king of Judah, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

And the rest of the matters of Joash, and all that he did, and his might with which he fought with Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Now Elisha became sick with the illness of which he died; and Joash the king of Israel came down to him, and wept over him, and said, “My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!”

And Elisha hath been sick with his sickness in which he dieth, and come down unto him doth Joash king of Israel, and weepeth on his face, and saith, ‘My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and its horsemen.’

Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael the cities which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Joash struck him three times, and recovered the cities of Israel.

And Jehoash H3060 the son H1121 of Jehoahaz H3059 took H3947 (QalImpf) again H7725 (QalImpf) out of the hand H3027 of Benhadad H1130 the son H1121 of Hazael H2371 the cities, H5892 which he had taken H3947 (QalPerf) out of the hand H3027 of Jehoahaz H3059 his father H1 by war. H4421 Three H7969 times H6471 did Joash H3101 beat H5221 (HiphPerf) him, and recovered H7725 (HiphImpf) the cities H5892 of Israel. H3478

and Jehoash son of Jehoahaz turneth and taketh the cities out of the hand of Ben-Hadad son of Hazael that he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father in war; three times hath Joash smitten him, and he bringeth back the cities of Israel.

Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, “The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, ‘Give your daughter to my son as wife.’ Then a wild animal that was in Lebanon passed by, and trampled down the thistle.

And Jehoash king of Israel sendeth unto Amaziah king of Judah, saying, ‘The thorn that is in Lebanon hath sent unto the cedar that is in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son for a wife; and pass by doth a beast of the field that is in Lebanon, and treadeth down the thorn.

But Amaziah would not listen. So Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Beth Shemesh, which belongs to Judah.

But Amaziah H558 would not hear. H8085 (QalPerf) Therefore Jehoash H3060 king H4428 of Israel H3478 went up; H5927 (QalImpf) and he and Amaziah H558 king H4428 of Judah H3063 looked H7200 (HithImpf) one another in the face H6440 at Bethshemesh, H1053 which [belongeth] to Judah. H3063

And Amaziah hath not hearkened, and go up doth Jehoash king of Israel, and they look one another in the face, he and Amaziah king of Judah, in Beth-Shemesh, that is Judah’s,

He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight. He didn’t depart from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.

and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath not turned aside from all the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.

He restored the border of Israel from the entrance of Hamath to the sea of the Arabah, according to Yahweh, the God of Israel’s word, which he spoke by his servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet, who was from Gath Hepher.

And the rest of the matters of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might with which he fought, and with which he brought back Damascus, and Hamath of Judah, into Israel, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
