2 Kings 13 (WEBP)
[1] In the twenty-third year of Joash the son of Ahaziah, king of Judah, Jehoahaz the son of Jehu began to reign over Israel in Samaria for seventeen years.
[2] He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin. He didn’t depart from it.
[3] Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael, continually.
[4] Jehoahaz begged Yahweh, and Yahweh listened to him; for he saw the oppression of Israel, how the king of Syria oppressed them.
[5] (Yahweh gave Israel a savior, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians; and the children of Israel lived in their tents as before.
[6] Nevertheless they didn’t depart from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, with which he made Israel to sin, but walked in them; and the Asherah also remained in Samaria.)
[7] For he didn’t leave to Jehoahaz of the people any more than fifty horsemen, and ten chariots, and ten thousand footmen; for the king of Syria destroyed them and made them like the dust in threshing.
[8] Now the rest of the acts of Jehoahaz, and all that he did, and his might, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
[9] Jehoahaz slept with his fathers; and they buried him in Samaria; and Joash his son reigned in his place.
[10] In the thirty-seventh year of Joash king of Judah, Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz began to reign over Israel in Samaria for sixteen years.
[11] He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight. He didn’t depart from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin; but he walked in them.
[12] Now the rest of the acts of Joash, and all that he did, and his might with which he fought against Amaziah king of Judah, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
[13] Joash slept with his fathers; and Jeroboam sat on his throne. Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
[14] Now Elisha became sick with the illness of which he died; and Joash the king of Israel came down to him, and wept over him, and said, “My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!”
[15] Elisha said to him, “Take bow and arrows;” and he took bow and arrows for himself.
[16] He said to the king of Israel, “Put your hand on the bow;” and he put his hand on it. Elisha laid his hands on the king’s hands.
[17] He said, “Open the window eastward;” and he opened it. Then Elisha said, “Shoot!” and he shot. He said, “Yahweh’s arrow of victory, even the arrow of victory over Syria; for you will strike the Syrians in Aphek until you have consumed them.”
[18] He said, “Take the arrows;” and he took them. He said to the king of Israel, “Strike the ground;” and he struck three times, and stopped.
[19] The man of God was angry with him, and said, “You should have struck five or six times. Then you would have struck Syria until you had consumed it, but now you will strike Syria just three times.”
[20] Elisha died, and they buried him. Now the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.
[21] As they were burying a man, behold, they saw a band of raiders; and they threw the man into Elisha’s tomb. As soon as the man touched Elisha’s bones, he revived, and stood up on his feet.
[22] Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.
[23] But Yahweh was gracious to them, and had compassion on them, and favored them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them and he didn’t cast them from his presence as yet.
[24] Hazael king of Syria died; and Benhadad his son reigned in his place.
[25] Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael the cities which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Joash struck him three times, and recovered the cities of Israel.

2 Kings 13 (KJVS)
[1] In the three H7969 H8141 and twentieth H6242 year H8141 of Joash H3101 the son H1121 of Ahaziah H274 king H4428 of Judah H3063 Jehoahaz H3059 the son H1121 of Jehu H3058 began to reign H4427 (8804) over Israel H3478 in Samaria H8111, [and reigned] seventeen H7651 H6240 years H8141.
[2] And he did H6213 (8799) [that which was] evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of the LORD H3068, and followed H3212 (8799) H310 the sins H2403 of Jeroboam H3379 the son H1121 of Nebat H5028, which made Israel H3478 to sin H2398 (8689); he departed H5493 (8804) not therefrom.
[3] And the anger H639 of the LORD H3068 was kindled H2734 (8799) against Israel H3478, and he delivered H5414 (8799) them into the hand H3027 of Hazael H2371 king H4428 of Syria H758, and into the hand H3027 of Benhadad H1130 the son H1121 of Hazael H2371, all [their] days H3117.
[4] And Jehoahaz H3059 besought H2470 (8762) the LORD H3068, and the LORD H3068 hearkened H8085 (8799) unto H6440 him: for he saw H7200 (8804) the oppression H3906 of Israel H3478, because the king H4428 of Syria H758 oppressed H3905 (8804) them.
[5] (And the LORD H3068 gave H5414 (8799) Israel H3478 a saviour H3467 (8688), so that they went out H3318 (8799) from under the hand H3027 of the Syrians H758: and the children H1121 of Israel H3478 dwelt H3427 (8799) in their tents H168, as beforetime H8032 H8543.
[6] Nevertheless they departed H5493 (8804) not from the sins H2403 of the house H1004 of Jeroboam H3379, who made Israel H3478 sin H2398 (8689), [but] walked H1980 (8804) therein: and there remained H5975 (8804) the grove H842 also in Samaria H8111.)
[7] Neither did he leave H7604 (8689) of the people H5971 to Jehoahaz H3059 but fifty H2572 horsemen H6571, and ten H6235 chariots H7393, and ten H6235 thousand H505 footmen H7273; for the king H4428 of Syria H758 had destroyed H6 (8765) them, and had made H7760 (8799) them like the dust H6083 by threshing H1758 (8800).
[8] Now the rest H3499 of the acts H1697 of Jehoahaz H3059, and all that he did H6213 (8804), and his might H1369, [are] they not written H3789 (8803) in the book H5612 of the chronicles H1697 H3117 of the kings H4428 of Israel H3478?
[9] And Jehoahaz H3059 slept H7901 (8799) with his fathers H1; and they buried H6912 (8799) him in Samaria H8111: and Joash H3101 his son H1121 reigned H4427 (8799) in his stead.
[10] In the thirty H7970 H8141 and seventh H7651 year H8141 of Joash H3101 king H4428 of Judah H3063 began Jehoash H3060 the son H1121 of Jehoahaz H3059 to reign H4427 (8804) over Israel H3478 in Samaria H8111, [and reigned] sixteen H8337 H6240 years H8141.
[11] And he did H6213 (8799) [that which was] evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of the LORD H3068; he departed H5493 (8804) not from all the sins H2403 of Jeroboam H3379 the son H1121 of Nebat H5028, who made Israel H3478 sin H2398 (8689): [but] he walked H1980 (8804) therein.
[12] And the rest H3499 of the acts H1697 of Joash H3101, and all that he did H6213 (8804), and his might H1369 wherewith he fought H3898 (8738) against Amaziah H558 king H4428 of Judah H3063, [are] they not written H3789 (8803) in the book H5612 of the chronicles H1697 H3117 of the kings H4428 of Israel H3478?
[13] And Joash H3101 slept H7901 (8799) with his fathers H1; and Jeroboam H3379 sat H3427 (8804) upon his throne H3678: and Joash H3101 was buried H6912 (8735) in Samaria H8111 with the kings H4428 of Israel H3478.
[14] Now Elisha H477 was fallen sick H2470 (8804) of his sickness H2483 whereof he died H4191 (8799). And Joash H3101 the king H4428 of Israel H3478 came down H3381 (8799) unto him, and wept H1058 (8799) over his face H6440, and said H559 (8799), O my father H1, my father H1, the chariot H7393 of Israel H3478, and the horsemen H6571 thereof.
[15] And Elisha H477 said H559 (8799) unto him, Take H3947 (8798) bow H7198 and arrows H2671. And he took H3947 (8799) unto him bow H7198 and arrows H2671.
[16] And he said H559 (8799) to the king H4428 of Israel H3478, Put H7392 (8685) thine hand H3027 upon the bow H7198. And he put H7392 (8686) his hand H3027 [upon it]: and Elisha H477 put H7760 (8799) his hands H3027 upon the king’s H4428 hands H3027.
[17] And he said H559 (8799), Open H6605 (8798) the window H2474 eastward H6924. And he opened H6605 (8799) [it]. Then Elisha H477 said H559 (8799), Shoot H3384 (8798). And he shot H3384 (8686). And he said H559 (8799), The arrow H2671 of the LORD’S H3068 deliverance H8668, and the arrow H2671 of deliverance H8668 from Syria H758: for thou shalt smite H5221 (8689) the Syrians H758 in Aphek H663, till thou have consumed H3615 (8763) [them].
[18] And he said H559 (8799), Take H3947 (8798) the arrows H2671. And he took H3947 (8799) [them]. And he said H559 (8799) unto the king H4428 of Israel H3478, Smite H5221 (8685) upon the ground H776. And he smote H5221 (8686) thrice H7969 H6471, and stayed H5975 (8799).
[19] And the man H376 of God H430 was wroth H7107 (8799) with him, and said H559 (8799), Thou shouldest have smitten H5221 (8687) five H2568 or six H8337 times H6471; then hadst thou smitten H5221 (8689) Syria H758 till thou hadst consumed H3615 (8763) [it]: whereas now thou shalt smite H5221 (8686) Syria H758 [but] thrice H7969 H6471.
[20] And Elisha H477 died H4191 (8799), and they buried H6912 (8799) him. And the bands H1416 of the Moabites H4124 invaded H935 (8799) the land H776 at the coming in H935 (8802) of the year H8141.
[21] And it came to pass, as they were burying H6912 (8802) a man H376, that, behold, they spied H7200 (8804) a band H1416 [of men]; and they cast H7993 (8686) the man H376 into the sepulchre H6913 of Elisha H477: and when the man H376 was let down H3212 (8799), and touched H5060 (8799) the bones H6106 of Elisha H477, he revived H2421 (8799), and stood up H6965 (8799) on his feet H7272.
[22] But Hazael H2371 king H4428 of Syria H758 oppressed H3905 (8804) Israel H3478 all the days H3117 of Jehoahaz H3059.
[23] And the LORD H3068 was gracious H2603 (8799) unto them, and had compassion H7355 (8762) on them, and had respect H6437 (8799) unto them, because of H4616 his covenant H1285 with Abraham H85, Isaac H3327, and Jacob H3290, and would H14 (8804) not destroy H7843 (8687) them, neither cast H7993 (8689) he them from his presence H6440 as yet H5704.
[24] So Hazael H2371 king H4428 of Syria H758 died H4191 (8799); and Benhadad H1130 his son H1121 reigned H4427 (8799) in his stead.
[25] And Jehoash H3060 the son H1121 of Jehoahaz H3059 took H3947 (8799) again H7725 (8799) out of the hand H3027 of Benhadad H1130 the son H1121 of Hazael H2371 the cities H5892, which he had taken H3947 (8804) out of the hand H3027 of Jehoahaz H3059 his father H1 by war H4421. Three H7969 times H6471 did Joash H3101 beat H5221 (8689) him, and recovered H7725 (8686) the cities H5892 of Israel H3478.
Young’s Literal Translation
2 Kings 13 (YLT)
[1] In the twenty and third year of Joash son of Ahaziah king of Judah, hath Jehoahaz son of Jehu reigned over Israel, in Samaria-seventeen years,
[2] and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and goeth after the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, that he caused Israel to sin-he turned not aside from it,
[3] and the anger of Jehovah burneth against Israel, and He giveth them into the hand of Hazael king of Aram, and into the hand of Ben-Hadad son of Hazael, all the days.
[4] And Jehoahaz appeaseth the face of Jehovah, and Jehovah hearkeneth unto him, for He hath seen the oppression of Israel, for oppressed them hath the king of Aram,-
[5] and Jehovah giveth to Israel a saviour, and they go out from under the hand of Aram, and the sons of Israel dwell in their tents as heretofore;
[6] only, they have not turned aside from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, that he caused Israel to sin, therein they walked, and also, the shrine hath remained in Samaria,-
[7] for he left not to Jehoahaz of the people except fifty horsemen, and ten chariots, and ten thousand footmen, for the king of Aram hath destroyed them, and maketh them as dust for threshing.
[8] And the rest of the matters of Jehoahaz, and all that he did, and his might, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
[9] And Jehoahaz lieth with his fathers, and they bury him in Samaria, and reign doth Joash his son in his stead.
[10] In the thirty and seventh year of Joash king of Judah reigned hath Jehoash son of Jehoahaz over Israel, in Samaria-sixteen years,
[11] and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath not turned aside from all the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, that he caused Israel to sin, therein he walked.
[12] And the rest of the matters of Joash, and all that he did, and his might with which he fought with Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?
[13] And Joash lieth with his fathers, and Jeroboam hath sat on his throne, and Joash is buried in Samaria, with the kings of Israel.
[14] And Elisha hath been sick with his sickness in which he dieth, and come down unto him doth Joash king of Israel, and weepeth on his face, and saith, ‘My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and its horsemen.’
[15] And Elisha saith to him, ‘Take bow and arrows:’ and he taketh unto him bow and arrows.
[16] And he saith to the king of Israel, ‘Place thy hand on the bow;’ and he placeth his hand, and Elisha putteth his hands on the hands of the king,
[17] and saith, ‘Open the window eastward;’ and he openeth, and Elisha saith, ‘Shoot,’ and he shooteth; and he saith, ‘An arrow of salvation to Jehovah, and an arrow of salvation against Aram, and thou hast smitten Aram, in Aphek, till consuming.’
[18] And he saith, ‘Take the arrows,’ and he taketh; and he saith to the king of Israel, ‘Smite to the earth;’ and he smiteth three times, and stayeth.
[19] And the man of God is wroth against him, and saith, ‘By smiting five or six times then thou hadst smitten Aram till consuming; and now, three times thou dost smite Aram.’
[20] And Elisha dieth, and they bury him, and troops of Moab come in to the land, at the coming in of the year,
[21] and it cometh to pass, they are burying a man, and lo, they have seen the troop, and cast the man into the grave of Elisha, and the man goeth and cometh against the bones of Elisha, and liveth, and riseth on his feet.
[22] And Hazael king of Aram hath oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz,
[23] and Jehovah doth favour them, and pity them, and turn unto them, for the sake of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and hath not been willing to destroy them, nor to cast them from His presence as yet.
[24] And Hazael king of Aram dieth, and reign doth Ben-Hadad his son in his stead,
[25] and Jehoash son of Jehoahaz turneth and taketh the cities out of the hand of Ben-Hadad son of Hazael that he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father in war; three times hath Joash smitten him, and he bringeth back the cities of Israel.
