2 Kings 24 (WEBP)
[1] In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years. Then he turned and rebelled against him.
[2] Yahweh sent against him bands of the Chaldeans, bands of the Syrians, bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to Yahweh’s word which he spoke by his servants the prophets.
[3] Surely at the commandment of Yahweh this came on Judah, to remove them out of his sight for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did,
[4] and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and Yahweh would not pardon.
[5] Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
[6] So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers, and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his place.
[7] The king of Egypt didn’t come out of his land any more; for the king of Babylon had taken, from the brook of Egypt to the river Euphrates, all that belonged to the king of Egypt.
[8] Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother’s name was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
[9] He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, according to all that his father had done.
[10] At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up to Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
[11] Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to the city while his servants were besieging it,
[12] and Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon—he, his mother, his servants, his princes, and his officers; and the king of Babylon captured him in the eighth year of his reign.
[13] He carried out from there all the treasures of Yahweh’s house and the treasures of the king’s house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in Yahweh’s temple, as Yahweh had said.
[14] He carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. No one remained except the poorest people of the land.
[15] He carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, with the king’s mother, the king’s wives, his officers, and the chief men of the land. He carried them into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
[16] All the men of might, even seven thousand, and the craftsmen and the smiths one thousand, all of them strong and fit for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
[17] The king of Babylon made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin’s father’s brother, king in his place, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
[18] Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
[19] He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
[20] For through the anger of Yahweh, this happened in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence. Then Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

[2] And the LORD H3068 sent H7971 (8762) against him bands H1416 of the Chaldees H3778, and bands H1416 of the Syrians H758, and bands H1416 of the Moabites H4124, and bands H1416 of the children H1121 of Ammon H5983, and sent H7971 (8762) them against Judah H3063 to destroy H6 (8687) it, according to the word H1697 of the LORD H3068, which he spake H1696 (8765) by H3027 his servants H5650 the prophets H5030.
[3] Surely at the commandment H6310 of the LORD H3068 came [this] upon Judah H3063, to remove H5493 (8687) [them] out of his sight H6440, for the sins H2403 of Manasseh H4519, according to all that he did H6213 (8804);
[4] And also for the innocent H5355 blood H1818 that he shed H8210 (8804): for he filled H4390 (8762) Jerusalem H3389 with innocent H5355 blood H1818; which the LORD H3068 would H14 (8804) not pardon H5545 (8800).
[5] Now the rest H3499 of the acts H1697 of Jehoiakim H3079, and all that he did H6213 (8804), [are] they not written H3789 (8803) in the book H5612 of the chronicles H1697 H3117 of the kings H4428 of Judah H3063?
[6] So Jehoiakim H3079 slept H7901 (8799) with his fathers H1: and Jehoiachin H3078 his son H1121 reigned H4427 (8799) in his stead.
[7] And the king H4428 of Egypt H4714 came H3318 (8800) not again H3254 (8689) any more out of his land H776: for the king H4428 of Babylon H894 had taken H3947 (8804) from the river H5158 of Egypt H4714 unto the river H5104 Euphrates H6578 all that pertained to the king H4428 of Egypt H4714.
[8] Jehoiachin H3078 [was] eighteen H8083 H6240 years H8141 old H1121 when he began to reign H4427 (8800), and he reigned H4427 (8804) in Jerusalem H3389 three H7969 months H2320. And his mother’s H517 name H8034 [was] Nehushta H5179, the daughter H1323 of Elnathan H494 of Jerusalem H3389.
[9] And he did H6213 (8799) [that which was] evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of the LORD H3068, according to all that his father H1 had done H6213 (8804).
[10] At that time H6256 the servants H5650 of Nebuchadnezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon H894 came up H5927 (8804) against Jerusalem H3389, and the city H5892 was besieged H935 (8799) H4692.
[11] And Nebuchadnezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon H894 came H935 (8799) against the city H5892, and his servants H5650 did besiege H6696 (8802) it.
[12] And Jehoiachin H3078 the king H4428 of Judah H3063 went out H3318 (8799) to the king H4428 of Babylon H894, he, and his mother H517, and his servants H5650, and his princes H8269, and his officers H5631: and the king H4428 of Babylon H894 took H3947 (8799) him in the eighth H8083 year H8141 of his reign H4427 (8800).
[13] And he carried out H3318 (8686) thence all the treasures H214 of the house H1004 of the LORD H3068, and the treasures H214 of the king’s H4428 house H1004, and cut in pieces H7112 (8762) all the vessels H3627 of gold H2091 which Solomon H8010 king H4428 of Israel H3478 had made H6213 (8804) in the temple H1964 of the LORD H3068, as the LORD H3068 had said H1696 (8765).
[14] And he carried away H1540 (8689) all Jerusalem H3389, and all the princes H8269, and all the mighty men H1368 of valour H2428, [even] ten H6235 thousand H505 captives H1540 (8802), and all the craftsmen H2796 and smiths H4525: none remained H7604 (8738), save H2108 the poorest sort H1803 of the people H5971 of the land H776.
[15] And he carried away H1540 (8686) Jehoiachin H3078 to Babylon H894, and the king’s H4428 mother H517, and the king’s H4428 wives H802, and his officers H5631, and the mighty H352 (8675) H193 of the land H776, [those] carried H3212 (8689) he into captivity H1473 from Jerusalem H3389 to Babylon H894.
[16] And all the men H582 of might H2428, [even] seven H7651 thousand H505, and craftsmen H2796 and smiths H4525 a thousand H505, all [that were] strong H1368 [and] apt H6213 (8802) for war H4421, even them the king H4428 of Babylon H894 brought H935 (8686) captive H1473 to Babylon H894.
[17] And the king H4428 of Babylon H894 made Mattaniah H4983 his father’s brother H1730 king H4427 (8686) in his stead, and changed H5437 (8686) his name H8034 to Zedekiah H6667.
[18] Zedekiah H6667 [was] twenty H6242 and one H259 years H8141 old H1121 when he began to reign H4427 (8800), and he reigned H4427 (8804) eleven H259 H6240 years H8141 in Jerusalem H3389. And his mother’s H517 name H8034 [was] Hamutal H2537, the daughter H1323 of Jeremiah H3414 of Libnah H3841.
[19] And he did H6213 (8799) [that which was] evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of the LORD H3068, according to all that Jehoiakim H3079 had done H6213 (8804).
[20] For through the anger H639 of the LORD H3068 it came to pass in Jerusalem H3389 and Judah H3063, until he had cast them out H7993 (8689) from his presence H6440, that Zedekiah H6667 rebelled H4775 (8799) against the king H4428 of Babylon H894.
Young’s Literal Translation
2 Kings 24 (YLT)
[1] In his days hath Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon come up, and Jehoiakim is to him a servant three years; and he turneth and rebelleth against him,
[2] and Jehovah sendeth against him the troops of the Chaldeans, and the troops of Aram, and the troops of Moab, and the troops of the sons of Ammon, and He sendeth them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of Jehovah, that He spake by the hand of His servants the prophets;
[3] only, by the command of Jehovah it hath been against Judah to turn them aside from His presence, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did,
[4] and also the innocent blood that he hath shed, and he filleth Jerusalem with innocent blood, and Jehovah was not willing to forgive.
[5] And the rest of the matters of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?
[6] And Jehoiakim lieth with his fathers, and Jehoiachin his son reigneth in his stead.
[7] And the king of Egypt hath not added any more to go out from his own land, for the king of Babylon hath taken, from the brook of Egypt unto the river Phrat, all that had been to the king of Egypt.
[8] A son of eighteen years is Jehoiachin in his reigning, and three months he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother is Nehushta, daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem,
[9] and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that his fathers did.
[10] At that time come up have servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Jerusalem, and the city goeth into siege,
[11] and Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon cometh against the city, and his servants are laying siege to it,
[12] and Jehoiachin king of Judah goeth out unto the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his chiefs, and his eunuchs, and the king of Babylon taketh him in the eighth year of his reign,
[13] and bringeth out thence all the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the house of the king, and cutteth in pieces all the vessels of gold that Solomon king of Israel made in the temple of Jehovah, as Jehovah had spoken.
[14] And he hath removed all Jerusalem, and all the chiefs, and all the mighty ones of valour-ten thousand is the removal-and every artificer and smith, none hath been left save the poor of the people of the land.
[15] And he removeth Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the mother of the king, and the wives of the king, and his eunuchs, and the mighty ones of the land-he hath caused a removal to go from Jerusalem to Babylon,
[16] and all the men of valour seven thousand, and the artificers and the smiths a thousand, the whole are mighty men, warriors; and the king of Babylon bringeth them in a captivity to Babylon.
[17] And the king of Babylon causeth Mattaniah his father’s brother to reign in his stead, and turneth his name to Zedekiah.
[18] A son of twenty and one years is Zedekiah in his reigning, and eleven years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother is Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah,
[19] and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah according to all that Jehoiakim did,
[20] for, by the anger of Jehovah it hath been against Jerusalem and against Judah, till he cast them out from His presence, that Zedekiah rebelleth against the king of Babylon.
