But if you show the dream and its interpretation, you will receive from me gifts, rewards, and great honor. Therefore show me the dream and its interpretation.”

εαν ουν το ενυπνιον μη αναγγειλητε μοι οιδα οτι ρημα ψευδες και διεφθαρμενον συνεθεσθε ειπειν ενωπιον μου εως ου ο καιρος παρελθη το ενυπνιον μου ειπατε μοι και γνωσομαι οτι την συγκρισιν αυτου αναγγελειτε μοι

The Chaldeans answered the king and said, “There is not a man on the earth who can show the king’s matter, because no king, lord, or ruler has asked such a thing of any magician, enchanter, or Chaldean.

Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would appoint him a time, and he would show the king the interpretation.

Daniel answered before the king, and said, “The secret which the king has demanded can’t be shown to the king by wise men, enchanters, magicians, or soothsayers;

και απεκριθη δανιηλ ενωπιον του βασιλεως και λεγει το μυστηριον ο ο βασιλευς επερωτα ουκ εστιν σοφων μαγων επαοιδων γαζαρηνων αναγγειλαι τω βασιλει

It has seemed good to me to show the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked toward me.

The king cried aloud to bring in the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. Now the wise men, the enchanters, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known to me its interpretation; but they could not show the interpretation of the thing.
