και κειλαμ και ακιεζι και κεζιβ και βαθησαρ και αιλων πολεις δεκα και αι κωμαι αυτων

David was told, “Behold, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah, and are robbing the threshing floors.”

Then they told H5046 (HiphImpf) David, H1732 saying, H559 (QalInf) Behold, the Philistines H6430 fight H3898 (NiphPtc) against Keilah, H7084 and they rob H8154 (QalActPtc) the threshingfloors. H1637

και απηγγελη τω δαυιδ λεγοντες ιδου οι αλλοφυλοι πολεμουσιν εν τη κειλα και αυτοι διαρπαζουσιν καταπατουσιν τους αλω

Therefore David inquired of Yahweh, saying, “Shall I go and strike these Philistines?” Yahweh said to David, “Go strike the Philistines, and save Keilah.”

Therefore David H1732 enquired H7592 (QalImpf) of the Lord, H3068 saying, H559 (QalInf) Shall I go H3212 (QalImpf) and smite H5221 (HiphPerf) these Philistines? H6430 And the Lord H3068 said H559 (QalImpf) unto David, H1732 Go, H3212 (QalImpv) and smite H5221 (HiphPerf) the Philistines, H6430 and save H3467 (HiphPerf) Keilah. H7084

και επηρωτησεν δαυιδ δια του κυριου λεγων ει πορευθω και παταξω τους αλλοφυλους τουτους και ειπεν κυριος πορευου και παταξεις εν τοις αλλοφυλοις τουτοις και σωσεις την κειλα

David’s men said to him, “Behold, we are afraid here in Judah. How much more then if we go to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?”

And David’s H1732 men H582 said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, Behold, we be afraid H3373 here in Judah: H3063 how much more then if we come H3212 (QalImpf) to Keilah H7084 against the armies H4634 of the Philistines? H6430

και ειπαν οι ανδρες του δαυιδ προς αυτον ιδου ημεις ενταυθα εν τη ιουδαια φοβουμεθα και πως εσται εαν πορευθωμεν εις κειλα εις τα σκυλα των αλλοφυλων εισπορευσομεθα

Then David inquired of Yahweh yet again. Yahweh answered him, and said, “Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into your hand.”

Then David H1732 enquired H7592 (QalInf) of the Lord H3068 yet again. H3254 (HiphImpf) And the Lord H3068 answered H6030 (QalImpf) him and said, H559 (QalImpf) Arise, H6965 (QalImpv) go down H3381 (QalImpv) to Keilah; H7084 for I will deliver H5414 (QalActPtc) the Philistines H6430 into thine hand. H3027

και προσεθετο δαυιδ ερωτησαι ετι δια του κυριου και απεκριθη αυτω κυριος και ειπεν προς αυτον αναστηθι και καταβηθι εις κειλα οτι εγω παραδιδωμι τους αλλοφυλους εις χειρας σου

David and his men went to Keilah and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their livestock, and killed them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.

So David H1732 and his men H582 went H3212 (QalImpf) to Keilah, H7084 and fought H3898 (NiphImpf) with the Philistines, H6430 and brought away H5090 (QalImpf) their cattle, H4735 and smote H5221 (HiphImpf) them with a great H1419 slaughter. H4347 So David H1732 saved H3467 (HiphImpf) the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of Keilah. H7084

και επορευθη δαυιδ και οι ανδρες οι μετ αυτου εις κειλα και επολεμησεν εν τοις αλλοφυλοις και εφυγον εκ προσωπου αυτου και απηγαγεν τα κτηνη αυτων και επαταξεν εν αυτοις πληγην μεγαλην και εσωσεν δαυιδ τους κατοικουντας κειλα

When Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, he came down with an ephod in his hand.

And it came to pass, when Abiathar H54 the son H1121 of Ahimelech H288 fled H1272 (QalInf) to David H1732 to Keilah, H7084 [that] he came down H3381 (QalPerf) [with] an ephod H646 in his hand. H3027

και εγενετο εν τω φυγειν αβιαθαρ υιον αβιμελεχ προς δαυιδ και αυτος μετα δαυιδ εις κειλα κατεβη εχων εφουδ εν τη χειρι αυτου

Saul was told that David had come to Keilah. Saul said, “God has delivered him into my hand, for he is shut in by entering into a town that has gates and bars.”

And it was told H5046 (HophImpf) Saul H7586 that David H1732 was come H935 (QalPerf) to Keilah. H7084 And Saul H7586 said, H559 (QalImpf) God H430 hath delivered H5234 (PielPerf) him into mine hand; H3027 for he is shut in, H5462 (NiphPerf) by entering H935 (QalInf) into a town H5892 that hath gates H1817 and bars. H1280

και απηγγελη τω σαουλ οτι ηκει δαυιδ εις κειλα και ειπεν σαουλ πεπρακεν αυτον ο θεος εις χειρας μου οτι αποκεκλεισται εισελθων εις πολιν θυρων και μοχλων

Saul summoned all the people to war, to go down to Keilah to besiege David and his men.

And Saul H7586 called H8085 all the people H5971 together H8085 (PielImpf) to war, H4421 to go down H3381 (QalInf) to Keilah, H7084 to besiege H6696 (QalInf) David H1732 and his men. H582

και παρηγγειλεν σαουλ παντι τω λαω εις πολεμον καταβαινειν εις κειλα συνεχειν τον δαυιδ και τους ανδρας αυτου

Then David said, “O Yahweh, the God of Israel, your servant has surely heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city for my sake.

Then said H559 (QalImpf) David, H1732 O Lord H3068 God H430 of Israel, H3478 thy servant H5650 hath certainly H8085 (QalInf) heard H8085 (QalPerf) that Saul H7586 seeketh H1245 (PielPtc) to come H935 (QalInf) to Keilah, H7084 to destroy H7843 (PielInf) the city H5892 for my sake.

και ειπεν δαυιδ κυριε ο θεος ισραηλ ακουων ακηκοεν ο δουλος σου οτι ζητει σαουλ ελθειν επι κειλα διαφθειραι την πολιν δι εμε

Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? Will Saul come down, as your servant has heard? Yahweh, the God of Israel, I beg you, tell your servant.” Yahweh said, “He will come down.”

Will the men H1167 of Keilah H7084 deliver me up H5462 (HiphImpf) into his hand? H3027 will Saul H7586 come down, H3381 (QalImpf) as thy servant H5650 hath heard? H8085 (QalPerf) O Lord H3068 God H430 of Israel, H3478 I beseech thee, tell H5046 (HiphImpv) thy servant. H5650 And the Lord H3068 said, H559 (QalImpf) He will come down. H3381 (QalImpf)

ει αποκλεισθησεται και νυν ει καταβησεται σαουλ καθως ηκουσεν ο δουλος σου κυριε ο θεος ισραηλ απαγγειλον τω δουλω σου και ειπεν κυριος αποκλεισθησεται

Then David said, “Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?” Yahweh said, “They will deliver you up.”

Then said H559 (QalImpf) David, H1732 Will the men H1167 of Keilah H7084 deliver H5462 (HiphImpf) me and my men H582 into the hand H3027 of Saul? H7586 And the Lord H3068 said, H559 (QalImpf) They will deliver [thee] up. H5462 (HiphImpf)

Then David and his men, who were about six hundred, arose and departed out of Keilah and went wherever they could go. Saul was told that David had escaped from Keilah; and he gave up going there.

Then David H1732 and his men, H582 [which were] about six H8337 hundred, H3967 H376 arose H6965 (QalImpf) and departed H3318 (QalImpf) out of Keilah, H7084 and went H1980 (HithImpf) whithersoever H834 they could go. H1980 (HithImpf) And it was told H5046 (HophPerf) Saul H7586 that David H1732 was escaped H4422 (NiphPerf) from Keilah; H7084 and he forbare H2308 (QalImpf) to go forth. H3318 (QalInf)

και ανεστη δαυιδ και οι ανδρες οι μετ αυτου ως τετρακοσιοι και εξηλθον εκ κειλα και επορευοντο ου εαν επορευθησαν και τω σαουλ απηγγελη οτι διασεσωται δαυιδ εκ κειλα και ανηκεν του εξελθειν

The sons of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham, were the fathers of Keilah the Garmite and Eshtemoa the Maacathite.

And the sons H1121 of [his] wife H802 Hodiah H1940 the sister H269 of Naham, H5163 the father H1 of Keilah H7084 the Garmite, H1636 and Eshtemoa H851 the Maachathite. H4602

και υιοι γυναικος της ιδουιας αδελφης ναχεμ και δαλια πατηρ κειλα και σεμειων πατηρ ιωμαν και υιοι ναημ πατρος κειλα αγαρμι και εσθεμωη μαχαθι

After him, the Levites—Rehum the son of Bani made repairs. Next to him, Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, made repairs for his district.

After H310 him repaired H2388 (HiphPerf) the Levites, H3881 Rehum H7348 the son H1121 of Bani. H1137 Next unto him H3027 repaired H2388 (HiphPerf) Hashabiah, H2811 the ruler H8269 of the half H2677 part H6418 of Keilah, H7084 in his part. H6418

οπισω αυτου εκρατησαν οι λευιται ραουμ υιος βανι επι χειρα αυτου εκρατησεν ασαβια αρχων ημισους περιχωρου κειλα τω περιχωρω αυτου

After him, their brothers, Bavvai the son of Henadad, the ruler of half the district of Keilah made repairs.

After H310 him repaired H2388 (HiphPerf) their brethren, H251 Bavai H942 the son H1121 of Henadad, H2582 the ruler H8269 of the half H2677 part H6418 of Keilah. H7084

μετ αυτον εκρατησαν αδελφοι αυτων βενι υιος ηναδαδ αρχων ημισους περιχωρου κειλα
