Exodus 32:11 Heb. the face of the LORD

και εδεηθη μωυσης εναντι κυριου του θεου και ειπεν ινα τι κυριε θυμοι οργη εις τον λαον σου ους εξηγαγες εκ γης αιγυπτου εν ισχυι μεγαλη και εν τω βραχιονι σου τω υψηλω

Moses said to Aaron, “What did these people do to you, that you have brought a great sin on them?”

Moses said, “Consecrate yourselves today to Yahweh, for every man was against his son and against his brother, that he may give you a blessing today.”

και ειπεν αυτοις μωυσης επληρωσατε τας χειρας υμων σημερον κυριω εκαστος εν τω υιω η τω αδελφω δοθηναι εφ υμας ευλογιαν

On the next day, Moses said to the people, “You have sinned a great sin. Now I will go up to Yahweh. Perhaps I shall make atonement for your sin.”

Moses returned to Yahweh, and said, “Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made themselves gods of gold.

υπεστρεψεν δε μωυσης προς κυριον και ειπεν δεομαι κυριε ημαρτηκεν ο λαος ουτος αμαρτιαν μεγαλην και εποιησαν εαυτοις θεους χρυσους

Yahweh said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me, I will blot him out of my book.

Yahweh spoke to Moses, “Depart, go up from here, you and the people that you have brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’

Yahweh had said to Moses, “Tell the children of Israel, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go up among you for one moment, I would consume you. Therefore now take off your jewelry from you, that I may know what to do to you.’ ”

και ειπεν κυριος τοις υιοις ισραηλ υμεις λαος σκληροτραχηλος ορατε μη πληγην αλλην επαξω εγω εφ υμας και εξαναλωσω υμας νυν ουν αφελεσθε τας στολας των δοξων υμων και τον κοσμον και δειξω σοι α ποιησω σοι

Moses said to Yahweh, “Behold, you tell me, ‘Bring up this people;’ and you haven’t let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.’

και ειπεν μωυσης προς κυριον ιδου συ μοι λεγεις αναγαγε τον λαον τουτον συ δε ουκ εδηλωσας μοι ον συναποστελεις μετ εμου συ δε μοι ειπας οιδα σε παρα παντας και χαριν εχεις παρ εμοι

He said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

και λεγει αυτος προπορευσομαι σου και καταπαυσω σε

Moses said to him, “If your presence doesn’t go with me, don’t carry us up from here.

και λεγει προς αυτον ει μη αυτος συ πορευη μη με αναγαγης εντευθεν

Yahweh said to Moses, “I will do this thing also that you have spoken; for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”

και ειπεν κυριος προς μωυσην και τουτον σοι τον λογον ον ειρηκας ποιησω ευρηκας γαρ χαριν ενωπιον μου και οιδα σε παρα παντας

Moses said, “Please show me your glory.”

He said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim Yahweh’s name before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”

He said, “You cannot see my face, for man may not see me and live.”

Yahweh said to Moses, “Chisel two stone tablets like the first. I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.

και ειπεν κυριος προς μωυσην λαξευσον σεαυτω δυο πλακας λιθινας καθως και αι πρωται και αναβηθι προς με εις το ορος και γραψω επι των πλακων τα ρηματα α ην εν ταις πλαξιν ταις πρωταις αις συνετριψας

He said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, Lord, please let the Lord go among us, even though this is a stiff-necked people; pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”

και ειπεν ει ευρηκα χαριν ενωπιον σου συμπορευθητω ο κυριος μου μεθ ημων ο λαος γαρ σκληροτραχηλος εστιν και αφελεις συ τας αμαρτιας ημων και τας ανομιας ημων και εσομεθα σοι

He said, “Behold, I make a covenant: before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been worked in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of Yahweh; for it is an awesome thing that I do with you.

Yahweh said to Moses, “Write these words; for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”

Moses assembled all the congregation of the children of Israel, and said to them, “These are the words which Yahweh has commanded, that you should do them.

και συνηθροισεν μωυσης πασαν συναγωγην υιων ισραηλ και ειπεν προς αυτους ουτοι οι λογοι ους ειπεν κυριος ποιησαι αυτους

Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which Yahweh commanded, saying,

Moses said to the children of Israel, “Behold, Yahweh has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

και ειπεν μωυσης τοις υιοις ισραηλ ιδου ανακεκληκεν ο θεος εξ ονοματος τον βεσελεηλ τον του ουριου τον ωρ εκ φυλης ιουδα

They spoke to Moses, saying, “The people have brought much more than enough for the service of the work which Yahweh commanded to make.”

και ειπαν προς μωυσην οτι πληθος φερει ο λαος παρα τα εργα οσα συνεταξεν κυριος ποιησαι

Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman make anything else for the offering for the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing.

And Moses H4872 gave commandment, H6680 (PielImpf) and they caused it to be proclaimed H6963 H5674 (HiphImpf) throughout the camp, H4264 saying, H559 (QalInf) Let neither man H376 nor woman H802 make H6213 (QalImpf) any more work H4399 for the offering H8641 of the sanctuary. και προσεταξεν μωυσης και εκηρυξεν εν τη παρεμβολη λεγων ανηρ και γυνη μηκετι εργαζεσθωσαν εις τας απαρχας του αγιου και εκωλυθη ο λαος ετι προσφερειν

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

Yahweh^§ called to Moses, and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, saying,

“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When anyone of you offers an offering to Yahweh, you shall offer your offering of the livestock, from the herd and from the flock.
