και επεινασεν πασα η γη αιγυπτου εκεκραξεν δε ο λαος προς φαραω περι αρτων ειπεν δε φαραω πασι τοις αιγυπτιοις πορευεσθε προς ιωσηφ και ο εαν ειπη υμιν ποιησατε

The famine was over all the surface of the earth. Joseph opened all the store houses, and sold to the Egyptians. The famine was severe in the land of Egypt.

And the famine H7458 was over all the face H6440 of the earth: H776 And Joseph H3130 opened H6605 (QalImpf) all the storehouses,^§ and sold H7666 (QalImpf) unto the Egyptians; H4714 and the famine H7458 waxed sore H2388 (QalImpf) in the land H776 of Egypt. H4714

Genesis 41:56 Heb. All wherein was

και ο λιμος ην επι προσωπου πασης της γης ανεωξεν δε ιωσηφ παντας τους σιτοβολωνας και επωλει πασι τοις αιγυπτιοις

All countries came into Egypt, to Joseph, to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all the earth.

ηλθον δε οι υιοι ισραηλ αγοραζειν μετα των ερχομενων ην γαρ ο λιμος εν γη χανααν

Joseph was the governor over the land. It was he who sold to all the people of the land. Joseph’s brothers came, and bowed themselves down to him with their faces to the earth.

Joseph saw his brothers, and he recognized them, but acted like a stranger to them, and spoke roughly with them. He said to them, “Where did you come from?” They said, “From the land of Canaan, to buy food.”

ιδων δε ιωσηφ τους αδελφους αυτου επεγνω και ηλλοτριουτο απ αυτων και ελαλησεν αυτοις σκληρα και ειπεν αυτοις ποθεν ηκατε οι δε ειπαν εκ γης χανααν αγορασαι βρωματα

Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed about them, and said to them, “You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land.”

He said to them, “No, but you have come to see the nakedness of the land!”

They said, “We, your servants, are twelve brothers, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and behold, the youngest is today with our father, and one is no more.”
