Say, ‘Hear Yahweh’s word, kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says, “Behold, I will bring evil on this place, which whoever hears, his ears will tingle.

And say, H559 (QalPerf) Hear H8085 (QalImpv) ye the word H1697 of the Lord, H3068 O kings H4428 of Judah, H3063 and inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of Jerusalem; H3389 Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 of hosts, H6635 the God H430 of Israel; H3478 Behold, I will bring H935 (HiphPtc) evil H7451 upon this place, H4725 the which whosoever heareth, H8085 (QalActPtc) his ears H241 shall tingle. and hast said, Hear a word of Jehovah, ye kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel: ‘Lo, I am bringing in evil on this place, at which the ears of every one who is hearing it do tingle,

Because they have forsaken me, and have defiled this place, and have burned incense in it to other gods that they didn’t know—they, their fathers, and the kings of Judah—and have filled this place with the blood of innocents,

Because they have forsaken H5800 (QalPerf) me, and have estranged H5234 (PielImpf) this place, H4725 and have burned incense H6999 (PielImpf) in it unto other H312 gods, H430 whom neither they nor their fathers H1 have known, H3045 (QalPerf) nor the kings H4428 of Judah, H3063 and have filled H4390 (QalPerf) this place H4725 with the blood H1818 of innocents; H5355

because that they have forsaken Me, and make known this place, and make perfume in it to other gods, that they knew not, they and their fathers, and the kings of Judah, and they have filled this place with innocent blood,

and have built the high places of Baal to burn their children in the fire for burnt offerings to Baal, which I didn’t command, nor speak, which didn’t even enter into my mind.

They have built H1129 (QalPerf) also the high places H1116 of Baal, H1168 to burn H8313 (QalInf) their sons H1121 with fire H784 [for] burnt offerings H5930 unto Baal, H1168 which I commanded H6680 (PielPerf) not, nor spake H1696 (PielPerf) [it], neither came H5927 (QalPerf) [it] into my mind: H3820

and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons with fire, burnt-offerings to Baal, that I commanded not, nor spake of, nor did it come up on My heart.

I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters. They will each eat the flesh of his friend in the siege and in the distress with which their enemies, and those who seek their life, will distress them.” ’

And I will cause them to eat H398 (HiphPerf) the flesh H1320 of their sons H1121 and the flesh H1320 of their daughters, H1323 and they shall eat H398 (QalImpf) every one H376 the flesh H1320 of his friend H7453 in the siege H4692 and straitness, H4689 wherewith their enemies, H341 (QalActPtc) and they that seek H1245 (PielPtc) their lives, H5315 shall straiten H6693 (HiphImpf) them.

And I have caused them to eat the flesh of their sons, and the flesh of their daughters, and each the flesh of his friend they do eat, in the siege and in the straitness with which straiten them do their enemies, and those seeking their life.

and shall tell them, ‘Yahweh of Armies says: “Even so I will break this people and this city as one breaks a potter’s vessel, that can’t be made whole again. They will bury in Topheth until there is no place to bury.

And shalt say H559 (QalPerf) unto them, Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 of hosts; H6635 Even so H3602 will I break H7665 (QalImpf) this people H5971 and this city, H5892 as [one] breaketh H7665 (QalImpf) a potter’s H3335 (QalActPtc) vessel, H3627 that cannot H3201 (QalImpf) be made whole again: H7495 (NiphInf) and they shall bury H6912 (QalImpf) [them] in Tophet, H8612 till [there be] no place H4725 to bury. H6912 (QalInf)

and hast said unto them: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, Thus do I break this people and this city, as one breaketh the potter’s vessel, that is not able to be repaired again, and in Tophet they bury-without place to bury;

The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah, which are defiled, will be as the place of Topheth, even all the houses on whose roofs they have burned incense to all the army of the sky and have poured out drink offerings to other gods.” ’ ”

And the houses H1004 of Jerusalem, H3389 and the houses H1004 of the kings H4428 of Judah, H3063 shall be defiled H2931 as the place H4725 of Tophet, H8612 because of all the houses H1004 upon whose roofs H1406 they have burned incense H6999 (PielPerf) unto all the host H6635 of heaven, H8064 and have poured out H5258 (HiphInf) drink offerings H5262 unto other H312 gods. H430

and the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, have been-as the place of Tophet-defiled, even all the houses on whose roofs they have made perfume to all the host of the heavens, so as to pour out oblations to other gods.’

Then Jeremiah came from Topheth, where Yahweh had sent him to prophesy, and he stood in the court of Yahweh’s house, and said to all the people:

Then came H935 (QalImpf) Jeremiah H3414 from Tophet, H8612 whither the Lord H3068 had sent H7971 (QalPerf) him to prophesy; H5012 (NiphInf) and he stood H5975 (QalImpf) in the court H2691 of the Lord’s H3068 house; H1004 and said H559 (QalImpf) to all the people, H5971

And Jeremiah cometh in from Tophet, whither Jehovah had sent him to prophesy, and he standeth in the court of the house of Jehovah, and he saith unto all the people:

Then Pashhur struck Jeremiah the prophet and put him in the stocks that were in the upper gate of Benjamin, which was in Yahweh’s house.

Then Pashur H6583 smote H5221 (HiphImpf) Jeremiah H3414 the prophet, H5030 and put H5414 (QalImpf) him in the stocks H4115 that [were] in the high H5945 gate H8179 of Benjamin, H1144 which [was] by the house H1004 of the Lord. H3068

and Pashhur smiteth Jeremiah the prophet, and putteth him unto the stocks, that are by the high gate of Benjamin, that is by the house of Jehovah.

You, Pashhur, and all who dwell in your house will go into captivity. You will come to Babylon, and there you will die, and there you will be buried, you, and all your friends, to whom you have prophesied falsely.’ ”

And thou, Pashur, H6583 and all that dwell H3427 (QalActPtc) in thine house H1004 shall go H3212 (QalImpf) into captivity: H7628 and thou shalt come H935 (QalImpf) to Babylon, H894 and there thou shalt die, H4191 (QalImpf) and shalt be buried H6912 (NiphImpf) there, thou, and all thy friends, H157 (QalActPtc) to whom thou hast prophesied H5012 (NiphPerf) lies. H8267

And thou, Pashhur, and all dwelling in thy house, Do go into captivity. and Babylon thou dost enter, And there thou diest, and there thou art buried, Thou and all loving thee, To whom thou hast prophesied falsely.’

Cursed is the day in which I was born. Don’t let the day in which my mother bore me be blessed.

Cursed is the day in which I was born, The day that my mother bare me, Let it not be blessed!

Cursed is the man who brought news to my father, saying, “A boy is born to you,” making him very glad.

Cursed H779 (QalPasPtc) [be] the man H376 who brought tidings H1319 (PielPerf) to my father, H1 saying, H559 (QalInf) A man H2145 child H1121 is born H3205 (PualPerf) unto thee; making him very H8055 (PielInf) glad. H8055 (PielPerf)

Cursed is the man who bore tidings to my father, saying, ‘Born to thee hath been a child-a male,’ Making him very glad!

Let that man be as the cities which Yahweh overthrew, and didn’t repent. Let him hear a cry in the morning, and shouting at noontime,

And let that man H376 be as the cities H5892 which the Lord H3068 overthrew, H2015 (QalPerf) and repented H5162 (NiphPerf) not: and let him hear H8085 (QalPerf) the cry H2201 in the morning, H1242 and the shouting H8643 at noontide; H6256 H6672

Then hath that man been as the cities, That Jehovah overthrew, and repented not, And he hath heard a cry at morning, And a shout at time of noon.

because he didn’t kill me from the womb. So my mother would have been my grave, and her womb always great.

Because he slew H4191 (PolePerf) me not from the womb; H7358 or that my mother H517 might have been my grave, H6913 and her womb H7358 [to be] always H5769 great H2030 [with me].

Because he hath not put me to death from the womb, And my mother is to me-my grave, And her womb a pregnancy age-during.

The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Malchijah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, saying,

The word H1697 which came unto Jeremiah H3414 from the Lord, H3068 when king H4428 Zedekiah H6667 sent H7971 (QalInf) unto him Pashur H6583 the son H1121 of Melchiah, H4441 and Zephaniah H6846 the son H1121 of Maaseiah H4641 the priest, H3548 saying, H559 (QalInf)

The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, in the king Zedekiah’s sending unto him Pashhur son of Malchiah, and Zephaniah son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,

‘Yahweh, the God of Israel says, “Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans who besiege you outside the walls; and I will gather them into the middle of this city.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 God H430 of Israel; H3478 Behold, I will turn back H5437 (HiphPtc) the weapons H3627 of war H4421 that [are] in your hands, H3027 wherewith ye fight H3898 (NiphPtc) against the king H4428 of Babylon, H894 and [against] the Chaldeans, H3778 which besiege H6696 (QalActPtc) you without H2351 the walls, H2346 and I will assemble H622 (QalPerf) them into the midst H8432 of this city. H5892

Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel: Lo, I am turning round the weapons of battle That are in your hand, With which ye do fight the king of Babylon, And the Chaldeans, who are laying siege against you, At the outside of the wall, And I have gathered them into the midst of this city,

Then they will answer, ‘Because they abandoned the covenant of Yahweh their God, worshiped other gods, and served them.’ ”

Then they shall answer, H559 (QalPerf) Because they have forsaken H5800 (QalPerf) the covenant H1285 of the Lord H3068 their God, H430 and worshipped H7812 (HithImpf) other H312 gods, H430 and served H5647 (QalImpf) them.

And they have said, ‘Because that they have forsaken The covenant of Jehovah their God, And bow themselves to other gods, and serve them.’

For Yahweh says touching Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and who went out of this place: “He won’t return there any more.

For thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 touching H413 Shallum H7967 the son H1121 of Josiah H2977 king H4428 of Judah, H3063 which reigned H4427 (QalActPtc) instead of Josiah H2977 his father, H1 which went forth H3318 (QalPerf) out of this place; H4725 He shall not return H7725 (QalImpf) thither any more:

For thus said Jehovah concerning Shallum son of Josiah king of Judah, who is reigning instead of Josiah his father, who hath gone forth from this place: He doth not turn back hither again;

But he will die in the place where they have led him captive. He will see this land no more.”

But he shall die H4191 (QalImpf) in the place H4725 whither they have led him captive, H1540 (HiphPerf) and shall see H7200 (QalImpf) this land H776 no more.

For in the place whither they have removed him he dieth, And this land he doth not see again.

I would give you into the hand of those who seek your life, and into the hand of them of whom you are afraid, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.

And I will give H5414 (QalPerf) thee into the hand H3027 of them that seek H1245 (PielPtc) thy life, H5315 and into the hand H3027 [of them] whose face H6440 thou fearest, H3016 (QalPtc) even into the hand H3027 of Nebuchadrezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon, H894 and into the hand H3027 of the Chaldeans. H3778

And I have given thee into the hand of those seeking thy life, And into hands of which thou art afraid, Into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, And into the hand of the Chaldeans.

I will cast you out with your mother who bore you into another country, where you were not born; and there you will die.

And I will cast thee out, H2904 (HiphPerf) and thy mother H517 that bare H3205 (QalPerf) thee, into another H312 country, H776 where ye were not born; H3205 (PualPerf) and there shall ye die. H4191 (QalImpf)

And I have cast thee, And thy mother who bore thee, unto another country, Where ye were not born, and there do ye die.

But to the land to which their soul longs to return, there they will not return.”

But to the land H776 whereunto they desire H5375 (PielPtc) (Ketiv) H5315 to return, H7725 (QalInf) thither shall they not return. H7725 (QalImpf)

And to the land whither they are lifting up their soul to return, Thither they do not return.

“I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they will be fruitful and multiply.

And I will gather H6908 (PielImpf) the remnant H7611 of my flock H6629 out of all countries H776 whither I have driven H5080 (HiphPerf) them, and will bring them again H7725 (HiphPerf) to their folds; H5116 and they shall be fruitful H6509 (QalPerf) and increase. H7235 (QalPerf)

And I do gather the remnant of My flock Out of all the lands whither I drove them, And have brought them back unto their fold, And they have been fruitful, and multiplied.

In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely. This is his name by which he will be called: Yahweh our righteousness.

In his days H3117 Judah H3063 shall be saved, H3467 (NiphImpf) and Israel H3478 shall dwell H7931 (QalImpf) safely: H983 and this [is] his name H8034 whereby he shall be called, H7121 (QalImpf) THE Lord OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. H3072

In his days is Judah saved, and Israel dwelleth confidently, And this his name that Jehovah proclaimeth him, ‘Our Righteousness.’

“Therefore, behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that they will no more say, ‘As Yahweh lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;’

Therefore, behold, the days H3117 come, H935 (QalActPtc) saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord, H3068 that they shall no more say, H559 (QalImpf) The Lord H3068 liveth, H2416 which brought up H5927 (HiphPerf) the children H1121 of Israel H3478 out of the land H776 of Egypt; H4714

Therefore, lo, days are coming, An affirmation of Jehovah, And they do not say any more, Jehovah liveth who brought up The sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,

but, ‘As Yahweh lives, who brought up and who led the offspring of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all the countries where I had driven them.’ Then they will dwell in their own land.”

But, The Lord H3068 liveth, H2416 which brought up H5927 (HiphPerf) and which led H935 (HiphPerf) the seed H2233 of the house H1004 of Israel H3478 out of the north H6828 country, H776 and from all countries H776 whither I had driven H5080 (HiphPerf) them; and they shall dwell H3427 (QalPerf) in their own land. H127

But-Jehovah liveth, who brought up, And who brought in, the seed of the house of Israel, From the land of the north, And from all the lands whither I drove them, And they have dwelt on their own ground!

“I have heard what the prophets have said, who prophesy lies in my name, saying, ‘I had a dream! I had a dream!’

I have heard H8085 (QalPerf) what the prophets H5030 said, H559 (QalPerf) that prophesy H5012 (NiphPtc) lies H8267 in my name, H8034 saying, H559 (QalInf) I have dreamed, H2492 (QalPerf) I have dreamed. H2492 (QalPerf)

I have heard that which the prophets said, Who prophesy in My name falsehood, saying, ‘I have dreamed, I have dreamed.’

They intend to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they each tell his neighbor, as their fathers forgot my name because of Baal.

Which think H2803 (QalActPtc) to cause my people H5971 to forget H7911 (HiphInf) my name H8034 by their dreams H2472 which they tell H5608 (PielImpf) every man H376 to his neighbour, H7453 as their fathers H1 have forgotten H7911 (QalPerf) my name H8034 for Baal. H1168

Who are devising to cause My people To forget My name by their dreams, That they recount each to his neighbour, As their fathers forgot my name for Baal.

The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he who has my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the straw to the wheat?” says Yahweh.

The prophet H5030 that hath a dream, H2472 let him tell H5608 (PielImpf) a dream; H2472 and he that hath my word, H1697 let him speak H1696 (PielImpf) my word H1697 faithfully. H571 What [is] the chaff H8401 to the wheat? H1250 saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord. H3068

The prophet with whom is a dream, Let him recount the dream, And he with whom is My word, Let him truly speak My word. What-to the straw with the corn? An affirmation of Jehovah.

As for the prophet, the priest, and the people, who say, ‘The message from Yahweh,’ I will even punish that man and his household.

And [as for] the prophet, H5030 and the priest, H3548 and the people, H5971 that shall say, H559 (QalImpf) The burden H4853 of the Lord, H3068 I will even punish H6485 (QalPerf) that man H376 and his house. H1004

And the prophet, and the priest, and the people, That saith, The burden of Jehovah, I have seen after that man, and after his house.

therefore behold, I will utterly forget you, and I will cast you off with the city that I gave to you and to your fathers, away from my presence.

Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly H5377 (QalInf) forget H5382 (QalPerf) you, and I will forsake H5203 (QalPerf) you, and the city H5892 that I gave H5414 (QalPerf) you and your fathers, H1 [and cast you] out of my presence: H6440

Therefore, lo, I-I have taken you utterly away, And I have sent you out, And the city that I gave to you, And to your fathers, from before My face,

I will bring an everlasting reproach on you, and a perpetual shame, which will not be forgotten.’ ”

And I will bring H5414 (QalPerf) an everlasting H5769 reproach H2781 upon you, and a perpetual H5769 shame, H3640 which shall not be forgotten. H7911 (NiphImpf)

And I have put on you reproach age-during, And shame age-during that is not forgotten!

One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first-ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.

One H259 basket H1731 [had] very H3966 good H2896 figs, H8384 [even] like the figs H8384 [that are] first ripe: H1073 and the other H259 basket H1731 [had] very H3966 naughty H7451 figs, H8384 which could not be eaten, H398 (NiphImpf) they were so bad. H7455

In the one basket are figs very good, like the first-ripe figs, and in the other basket are figs very bad, that are not eaten for badness.

Then Yahweh asked me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” I said, “Figs. The good figs are very good, and the bad are very bad, so bad that they can’t be eaten.”

Then said H559 (QalImpf) the Lord H3068 unto me, What seest H7200 (QalActPtc) thou, Jeremiah? H3414 And I said, H559 (QalImpf) Figs; H8384 the good H2896 figs, H8384 very H3966 good; H2896 and the evil, H7451 very H3966 evil, H7451 that cannot be eaten, H398 (NiphImpf) they are so evil. H7455

And Jehovah saith unto me, ‘What art thou seeing, Jeremiah?’ and I say, ‘Figs, the good figs are very good, and the bad are very bad, that are not eaten for badness.’

“Yahweh, the God of Israel says: ‘Like these good figs, so I will regard the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans, as good.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord, H3068 the God H430 of Israel; H3478 Like these good H2896 figs, H8384 so will I acknowledge H5234 (HiphImpf) them that are carried away captive H1546 of Judah, H3063 whom I have sent H7971 (PielPerf) out of this place H4725 into the land H776 of the Chaldeans H3778 for [their] good. H2896

Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, Like these good figs so do I acknowledge The removed of Judah-that I sent from this place, To the land of the Chaldeans-for good.

“ ‘As the bad figs, which can’t be eaten, they are so bad,’ surely Yahweh says, ‘So I will give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the remnant of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt.

And as the evil H7451 figs, H8384 which cannot be eaten, H398 (NiphImpf) they are so evil; H7455 surely thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord, H3068 So will I give H5414 (QalImpf) Zedekiah H6667 the king H4428 of Judah, H3063 and his princes, H8269 and the residue H7611 of Jerusalem, H3389 that remain H7604 (NiphPtc) in this land, H776 and them that dwell H3427 (QalActPtc) in the land H776 of Egypt: H4714

And like the bad figs, that are not eaten for badness, Surely thus said Jehovah: So do I make Zedekiah king of Judah, And his heads, and the remnant of Jerusalem, Who are left in this land, And who are dwelling in the land of Egypt,

I will even give them up to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth for evil, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I will drive them.

And I will deliver H5414 (QalPerf) them to be removed H2189 (Qere) H2113 into all the kingdoms H4467 of the earth H776 for [their] hurt, H7451 [to be] a reproach H2781 and a proverb, H4912 a taunt H8148 and a curse, H7045 in all places H4725 whither I shall drive H5080 (HiphImpf) them.

And I have given them for a trembling, For evil-to all kingdoms of the earth, For a reproach, and for a simile, For a byword, and for a reviling, In all the places whither I drive them.

I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence among them, until they are consumed from off the land that I gave to them and to their fathers.’ ”

And I will send H7971 (PielPerf) the sword, H2719 the famine, H7458 and the pestilence, H1698 among them, till they be consumed H8552 (QalInf) from off the land H127 that I gave H5414 (QalPerf) unto them and to their fathers. H1

And I have sent against them the sword, The famine and the pestilence, Till their consumption from off the ground, That I gave to them and to their fathers!

which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem:

The which Jeremiah H3414 the prophet H5030 spake H1696 (PielPerf) unto all the people H5971 of Judah, H3063 and to all the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of Jerusalem, H3389 saying, H559 (QalInf)

Which Jeremiah the prophet hath spoken concerning all the people of Judah, even unto all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:

saying, “Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Yahweh has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forever more.

They said, H559 (QalInf) Turn ye again H7725 (QalImpv) now every one H376 from his evil H7451 way, H1870 and from the evil H7455 of your doings, H4611 and dwell H3427 (QalImpv) in the land H127 that the Lord H3068 hath given H5414 (QalPerf) unto you and to your fathers H1 for H5704 ever H5769 and ever: H5769

‘Turn back, I pray you, each from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell on the ground that Jehovah hath given to you and to your fathers from age unto age,

Therefore Yahweh of Armies says: “Because you have not heard my words,

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 of hosts; H6635 Because ye have not heard H8085 (QalPerf) my words, H1697

‘Therefore thus said Jehovah of Hosts, Because that ye have not obeyed My words,

I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.

And I will bring H935 (HiphPerf) upon that land H776 all my words H1697 which I have pronounced H1696 (PielPerf) against it, [even] all that is written H3789 (QalPasPtc) in this book, H5612 which Jeremiah H3414 hath prophesied H5012 (NiphPerf) against all the nations. H1471

And I have brought in on that land all My words that I have spoken against it, all that is written in this book, that Jeremiah hath prophesied concerning all the nations.

For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says to me: “Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand, and cause all the nations to whom I send you to drink it.

For thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478 unto me; Take H3947 (QalImpv) the wine H3196 cup H3563 of this fury H2534 at my hand, H3027 and cause all the nations, H1471 to whom I send H7971 (QalActPtc) thee, to drink H8248 (HiphPerf) it.

‘For thus said Jehovah God of Israel unto me, Take the wine cup of this fury out of My hand, and thou hast caused all the nations to drink it unto whom I am sending thee;

Then I took the cup at Yahweh’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom Yahweh had sent me:

‘And I take the cup out of the hand of Jehovah, and cause all the nations to drink unto whom Jehovah sent me:

and all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;

And all the kings H4428 of Tyrus, H6865 and all the kings H4428 of Zidon, H6721 and the kings H4428 of the isles H339 which [are] beyond H5676 the sea, H3220

And all the kings of Tyre, And all the kings of Zidon, And the kings of the isle that is beyond the sea,

and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth. The king of Sheshach will drink after them.

For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You will not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says Yahweh of Armies.” ’

For, lo, I begin H2490 (HiphPtc) to bring evil H7489 (HiphInf) on the city H5892 which is called H7121 (NiphPerf) by my name, H8034 and should ye be utterly H5352 (NiphInf) unpunished? H5352 (NiphImpf) Ye shall not be unpunished: H5352 (NiphInf) for I will call H7121 (QalActPtc) for a sword H2719 upon all the inhabitants H3427 (QalActPtc) of the earth, H776 saith H5002 (QalPasPtc) the Lord H3068 of hosts. For lo, in the city over which My name is called, I am beginning to do evil, And ye-ye are entirely acquitted! Ye are not acquitted, for a sword I am proclaiming, For all inhabitants of the land, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts.

It may be they will listen, and every man turn from his evil way, that I may relent from the evil which I intend to do to them because of the evil of their doings.’ ”

If so be they will hearken, H8085 (QalImpf) and turn H7725 (QalImpf) every man H376 from his evil H7451 way, H1870 that I may repent H5162 (NiphPerf) me of the evil, H7451 which I purpose H2803 (QalActPtc) to do H6213 (QalInf) unto them because H6440 of the evil H7455 of their doings. H4611

If so be they hearken, and turn back each from his evil way, then I have repented concerning the evil that I am thinking of doing to them, because of the evil of their doings.

You shall tell them, “Yahweh says: ‘If you will not listen to me, to walk in my law which I have set before you,
