“‘Moreover I will make you a desolation and a reproach among the nations that are around you, in the sight of all that pass by.

In all your dwelling places, the cities will be laid waste and the high places will be desolate, so that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your incense altars may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

Those of you that escape will remember me among the nations where they are carried captive, how I have been broken with their lewd heart, which has departed from me, and with their eyes, which play the prostitute after their idols. Then they will loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

και μνησθησονται μου οι ανασωζομενοι εξ υμων εν τοις εθνεσιν ου ηχμαλωτευθησαν εκει ομωμοκα τη καρδια αυτων τη εκπορνευουση απ εμου και τοις οφθαλμοις αυτων τοις πορνευουσιν οπισω των επιτηδευματων αυτων και κοψονται προσωπα αυτων εν πασι τοις βδελυγμασιν αυτων

“The Lord Yahweh says: ‘Strike with your hand, and stamp with your foot, and say, “Alas!”, because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel; for they will fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

ταδε λεγει κυριος κροτησον τη χειρι και ψοφησον τω ποδι και ειπον ευγε ευγε επι πασιν τοις βδελυγμασιν οικου ισραηλ εν ρομφαια και εν θανατω και εν λιμω πεσουνται

You will know that I am Yahweh when their slain men are among their idols around their altars, on every high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, under every green tree, and under every thick oak—the places where they offered pleasant aroma to all their idols.

και γνωσεσθε διοτι εγω κυριος εν τω ειναι τους τραυματιας υμων εν μεσω των ειδωλων υμων κυκλω των θυσιαστηριων υμων επι παντα βουνον υψηλον και υποκατω δενδρου συσκιου ου εδωκαν εκει οσμην ευωδιας πασι τοις ειδωλοις αυτων

I will stretch out my hand on them and make the land desolate and waste, from the wilderness toward Diblah, throughout all their habitations. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.’”

So will I stretch out H5186 (QalPerf) my hand H3027 upon them, and make H5414 (QalPerf) the land H776 desolate, H8077 yea, more desolate H4923 than the wilderness H4057 toward Diblath, H1689 in all their habitations: H4186 and they shall know H3045 (QalPerf) that I am the Lord. H3068

και εκτενω την χειρα μου επ αυτους και θησομαι την γην εις αφανισμον και εις ολεθρον απο της ερημου δεβλαθα εκ πασης της κατοικιας και επιγνωσεσθε οτι εγω κυριος

Now the end is on you, and I will send my anger on you, and will judge you according to your ways. I will bring on you all your abominations.

Now is the end H7093 come upon thee, and I will send H7971 (PielPerf) mine anger H639 upon thee, and will judge H8199 (QalPerf) thee according to thy ways, H1870 and will recompense^§ H5414 (QalPerf) upon thee all thine abominations. H8441

Ezekiel 7:3 Heb. give

Now I will shortly pour out my wrath on you, and accomplish my anger against you, and will judge you according to your ways. I will bring on you all your abominations.

^[7:5] νυν εγγυθεν εκχεω την οργην μου επι σε και συντελεσω τον θυμον μου εν σοι και κρινω σε εν ταις οδοις σου και δωσω επι σε παντα τα βδελυγματα σου

The time has come! The day draws near. Don’t let the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is on all its multitude.

The time H6256 is come, H935 (QalPerf) the day H3117 draweth near: H5060 (HiphPerf) let not the buyer H7069 (QalActPtc) rejoice, H8055 (QalImpf) nor the seller H4376 (QalActPtc) mourn: H56 (HithImpf) for wrath H2740 is upon all the multitude H1995 thereof.

ηκει ο καιρος ιδου η ημερα ο κτωμενος μη χαιρετω και ο πωλων μη θρηνειτω

For the seller won’t return to that which is sold, although they are still alive; for the vision concerns the whole multitude of it. None will return. None will strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

For the seller H4376 (QalActPtc) shall not return H7725 (QalImpf) to that which is sold, H4465 although they were yet alive:^§ H2416 for the vision H2377 is touching the whole multitude H1995 thereof, which shall not return; H7725 (QalImpf) neither shall any H376 strengthen H2388 (HithImpf) himself in the iniquity H5771 of his life.^§ H2416

διοτι ο κτωμενος προς τον πωλουντα ουκετι μη επιστρεψη και ανθρωπος εν οφθαλμω ζωης αυτου ου κρατησει

They have blown the trumpet, and have made all ready; but no one goes to the battle, for my wrath is on all its multitude.

σαλπισατε εν σαλπιγγι και κρινατε τα συμπαντα

But of those who escape, they will escape and will be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, everyone in his iniquity.

But they that escape H6403 (QalPerf) of them shall escape, H6412 and shall be on the mountains H2022 like doves H3123 of the valleys, H1516 all of them mourning, H1993 (QalActPtc) every one H376 for his iniquity. H5771

και ανασωθησονται οι ανασωζομενοι εξ αυτων και εσονται επι των ορεων παντας αποκτενω εκαστον εν ταις αδικιαις αυτου

All hands will be feeble, and all knees will be weak as water.

Ezekiel 7:17 Heb. go into water

πασαι χειρες εκλυθησονται και παντες μηροι μολυνθησονται υγρασια

They will also clothe themselves with sackcloth, and horror will cover them. Shame will be on all faces, and baldness on all their heads.

So I went in and looked, and saw every form of creeping things, abominable animals, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed around on the wall.

και εισηλθον και ειδον και ιδου ματαια βδελυγματα και παντα τα ειδωλα οικου ισραηλ διαγεγραμμενα επ αυτου κυκλω

Yahweh said to him, “Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”
