Ezekiel 9 (WEBP)
[1] Then he cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying, “Cause those who are in charge of the city to draw near, each man with his destroying weapon in his hand.”
[2] Behold, six men came from the way of the upper gate, which lies toward the north, every man with his slaughter weapon in his hand. One man in the middle of them was clothed in linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side. They went in, and stood beside the bronze altar.
[3] The glory of the God of Israel went up from the cherub, whereupon it was, to the threshold of the house; and he called to the man clothed in linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn by his side.
[4] Yahweh said to him, “Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”
[5] To the others he said in my hearing, “Go through the city after him, and strike. Don’t let your eye spare, neither have pity.
[6] Kill utterly the old man, the young man, the virgin, little children and women; but don’t come near any man on whom is the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” Then they began at the old men who were before the house.
[7] He said to them, “Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!” They went out, and struck in the city.
[8] While they were killing, and I was left, I fell on my face, and cried, and said, “Ah Lord Yahweh! Will you destroy all the residue of Israel in your pouring out of your wrath on Jerusalem?”
[9] Then he said to me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perversion; for they say, ‘Yahweh has forsaken the land, and Yahweh doesn’t see.’
[10] As for me also, my eye won’t spare, neither will I have pity, but I will bring their way on their head.”
[11] Behold, the man clothed in linen, who had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, “I have done as you have commanded me.”

Ezekiel 9 (KJVS)
[1] He cried H7121 (8799) also in mine ears H241 with a loud H1419 voice H6963, saying H559 (8800), Cause them that have charge H6486 over the city H5892 to draw near H7126 (8804), even every man H376 [with] his destroying H4892 weapon H3627 in his hand H3027.
[2] And, behold, six H8337 men H582 came H935 (8802) from the way H1870 of the higher H5945 gate H8179, which lieth H6437 (8716) toward the north H6828, and every man H376 a slaughter H4660 weapon H3627 in his hand H3027; and one H259 man H376 among H8432 them [was] clothed H3847 (8803) with linen H906, with a writer’s H5608 (8802) inkhorn H7083 by his side H4975: and they went in H935 (8799), and stood H5975 (8799) beside H681 the brasen H5178 altar H4196.
[3] And the glory H3519 of the God H430 of Israel H3478 was gone up H5927 (8738) from the cherub H3742, whereupon he was, to the threshold H4670 of the house H1004. And he called H7121 (8799) to the man H376 clothed H3847 (8803) with linen H906, which [had] the writer’s H5608 (8802) inkhorn H7083 by his side H4975;
[4] And the LORD H3068 said H559 (8799) unto him, Go through H5674 (8798) the midst H8432 of the city H5892, through the midst H8432 of Jerusalem H3389, and set H8427 (8689) a mark H8420 upon the foreheads H4696 of the men H582 that sigh H584 (8737) and that cry H602 (8737) for all the abominations H8441 that be done H6213 (8737) in the midst H8432 thereof.
[5] And to the others H428 he said H559 (8804) in mine hearing H241, Go H5674 (8798) ye after H310 him through the city H5892, and smite H5221 (8685): let not your eye H5869 spare H2347 (8799), neither have ye pity H2550 (8799):
[6] Slay H2026 (8799) utterly H4889 old H2205 [and] young H970, both maids H1330, and little children H2945, and women H802: but come not near H5066 (8799) any man H376 upon whom [is] the mark H8420; and begin H2490 (8686) at my sanctuary H4720. Then they began H2490 (8686) at the ancient H2205 men H582 which [were] before H6440 the house H1004.
[7] And he said H559 (8799) unto them, Defile H2930 (8761) the house H1004, and fill H4390 (8761) the courts H2691 with the slain H2491: go ye forth H3318 (8798). And they went forth H3318 (8804), and slew H5221 (8689) in the city H5892.
[8] And it came to pass, while they were slaying H5221 (8687) them, and I was left H7604 (8737), that I fell H5307 (8799) upon my face H6440, and cried H2199 (8799), and said H559 (8799), Ah H162 Lord H136 GOD H3069! wilt thou destroy H7843 (8688) all the residue H7611 of Israel H3478 in thy pouring out H8210 (8800) of thy fury H2534 upon Jerusalem H3389?
[9] Then said H559 (8799) he unto me, The iniquity H5771 of the house H1004 of Israel H3478 and Judah H3063 [is] exceeding H3966 H3966 great H1419, and the land H776 is full H4390 (8735) of blood H1818, and the city H5892 full H4390 (8804) of perverseness H4297: for they say H559 (8804), The LORD H3068 hath forsaken H5800 (8804) the earth H776, and the LORD H3068 seeth H7200 (8802) not.
[10] And as for me also, mine eye H5869 shall not spare H2347 (8799), neither will I have pity H2550 (8799), [but] I will recompense H5414 (8804) their way H1870 upon their head H7218.
[11] And, behold, the man H376 clothed H3847 (8803) with linen H906, which [had] the inkhorn H7083 by his side H4975, reported H7725 (8688) the matter H1697, saying H559 (8800), I have done H6213 (8804) as thou hast commanded H6680 (8765) me.
Young’s Literal Translation
Ezekiel 9 (YLT)
[1] And He crieth in mine ears-a loud voice-saying, ‘Drawn near have inspectors of the city, and each his destroying weapon in his hand.’
[2] And lo, six men are coming from the way of the upper gate, that is facing the north, and each his slaughter-weapon in his hand, and one man in their midst is clothed with linen, and a scribe’s inkhorn at his loins, and they come in, and stand near the brazen altar.
[3] And the honour of the God of Israel hath gone up from off the cherub, on which it hath been, unto the threshold of the house.
[4] And He calleth unto the man who is clothed with linen, who hath the scribe’s inkhorn at his loins, and Jehovah saith unto him, ‘Pass on into the midst of the city, into the midst of Jerusalem, and thou hast made a mark on the foreheads of the men who are sighing and who are groaning for all the abominations that are done in its midst.’
[5] And to the others he said in mine ears, ‘Pass on into the city after him, and smite; your eye doth not pity, nor do ye spare;
[6] aged, young man, and virgin, and infant, and women, ye do slay-to destruction; and against any man on whom is the mark ye do not go nigh, and from My sanctuary ye begin.’
[7] And they begin among the aged men who are before the house, and He saith unto them, ‘Defile the house, and fill the courts with the wounded, go forth.’ And they have gone forth and have smitten in the city.
[8] And it cometh to pass, as they are smiting, and I-I am left-that I fall on my face, and cry, and say, ‘Ah, Lord Jehovah, art Thou destroying all the remnant of Israel, in Thy pouring out Thy wrath on Jerusalem?’
[9] And He saith unto me, ‘The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is very very great, and the land is full of blood, and the city hath been full of perverseness, for they have said: Jehovah hath forsaken the land, and Jehovah is not seeing.
[10] And I also, Mine eye doth not pity, nor do I spare; their way on their own head I have put.’
[11] And lo, the man clothed with linen, at whose loins is the inkhorn, is bringing back word, saying, ‘I have done as Thou hast commanded me.’
