We asked them their names also, to inform you that we might write the names of the men who were at their head.

και τα σκευη του οικου του θεου τα χρυσα και τα αργυρα α ναβουχοδονοσορ εξηνεγκεν απο οικου του εν ιερουσαλημ και απηνεγκεν αυτα εις ναον του βασιλεως εξηνεγκεν αυτα κυρος ο βασιλευς απο ναου του βασιλεως και εδωκεν τω σασαβασαρ τω θησαυροφυλακι τω επι του θησαυρου

και ο θεος ου κατασκηνοι το ονομα εκει καταστρεψει παντα βασιλεα και λαον ος εκτενει την χειρα αυτου αλλαξαι η αφανισαι τον οικον του θεου εκεινον τον εν ιερουσαλημ εγω δαρειος εθηκα γνωμην επιμελως εσται

Daniel answered, “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever; for wisdom and might are his.

δανιηλ και ειπεν ειη το ονομα του θεου ευλογημενον απο του αιωνος και εως του αιωνος οτι η σοφια και η συνεσις αυτου εστιν

The king answered Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, “Are you able to make known to me the dream which I have seen, and its interpretation?”

και απεκριθη ο βασιλευς και ειπεν τω δανιηλ ου το ονομα βαλτασαρ ει δυνασαι μοι αναγγειλαι το ενυπνιον ο ειδον και την συγκρισιν αυτου

But at last, Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. I told the dream before him, saying,

εως ου ηλθεν δανιηλ ου το ονομα βαλτασαρ κατα το ονομα του θεου μου ος πνευμα θεου αγιον εν εαυτω εχει και το ενυπνιον ενωπιον αυτου ειπα

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stricken mute for a while, and his thoughts troubled him. The king answered, “Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream or the interpretation, trouble you.”

Then H116 Daniel, H1841 whose name H8036 [was] Belteshazzar, H1096 was astonied H8075 (ItpoImpf) for one H2298 hour, H8160 and his thoughts H7476 troubled H927 (PualImpf) him. The king H4430 spake, H6032 (PealPtc) and said, H560 (PealPtc) Belteshazzar, H1096 let not H409 the dream, H2493 or the interpretation H6591 thereof, trouble H927 (PualImpf) thee. Belteshazzar H1096 answered H6032 (PealPtc) and said, H560 (PealPtc) My lord, H4756 the dream H2493 [be] to them that hate H8131 (PealPtc) thee, and the interpretation H6591 thereof to thine enemies. τοτε δανιηλ ου το ονομα βαλτασαρ απηνεωθη ωσει ωραν μιαν και οι διαλογισμοι αυτου συνεταρασσον αυτον και απεκριθη ο βασιλευς και ειπεν βαλτασαρ το ενυπνιον και η συγκρισις μη κατασπευσατω σε και απεκριθη βαλτασαρ και ειπεν κυριε το ενυπνιον τοις μισουσιν σε και η συγκρισις αυτου τοις εχθροις σου

because an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting of dreams, showing of dark sentences, and dissolving of doubts were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.”

Forasmuch as H6903 H3606 an excellent H3493 spirit, H7308 and knowledge, H4486 and understanding, H7924 interpreting H6590 (PaelPtc) of dreams, H2493 and shewing H263 of hard sentences, H280 and dissolving H8271 (PaelPtc) of doubts, H7001 were found H7912 (ItpePerf) in the same Daniel, H1841 whom the king H4430 named H7761 (PealPerf) H8036 Belteshazzar: H1096 now H3705 let Daniel H1841 be called, H7123 (ItplImpf) and he will shew H2324 (AphImpf) the interpretation. οτι πνευμα περισσον εν αυτω και φρονησις και συνεσις συγκρινων ενυπνια και αναγγελλων κρατουμενα και λυων συνδεσμους δανιηλ και ο βασιλευς επεθηκεν αυτω ονομα βαλτασαρ νυν ουν κληθητω και την συγκρισιν αυτου αναγγελει σοι
