Introduction

authorship, audience, history

Habakkuk is the eighth of the Minor Prophets and is built as a conversation. The prophet asks how God can tolerate the violence in Judah, is told that Babylon is coming, objects that the cure is worse than the disease, and ends by saying he will rejoice in God whatever the harvest does.
