Leviticus is the third of the Books of the Law, given to a people camped at Sinai and learning how a holy God could dwell among them. It sets out the offerings, the priesthood, the feasts, and the laws of clean and unclean. Its refrain is that Israel is to be holy because the Lord is holy.
