Psalms is the second of the Poetry and Wisdom books and the songbook of Israel, gathered over centuries. Roughly half are attributed to David, and the rest to Asaph, the sons of Korah, Solomon, Moses, and hands left unnamed. Nothing else in scripture covers so much ground between praise and lament.
