[1]
According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
[2] Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity.
Cleanse me from my sin.
[3] For I know my transgressions.
My sin is constantly before me.
[4] Against you, and you only, I have sinned,
and done that which is evil in your sight,
so you may be proved right when you speak,
and justified when you judge.
[5] Behold, I was born in iniquity.
My mother conceived me in sin.
[6] Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts.
You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
[7] Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean.
Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
[8] Let me hear joy and gladness,
that the bones which you have broken may rejoice.
[9] Hide your face from my sins,
and blot out all of my iniquities.
[10] Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Renew a right spirit within me.
[11] Don’t throw me from your presence,
and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.
[12] Restore to me the joy of your salvation.
Uphold me with a willing spirit.
[13] Then I will teach transgressors your ways.
Sinners will be converted to you.
[14] Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, the God of my salvation.
My tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.
[15] Lord, open my lips.
My mouth will declare your praise.
[16] For you don’t delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it.
You have no pleasure in burnt offering.
[17] The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit.
O God, you will not despise a broken and contrite heart. [18] Do well in your good pleasure to Zion.
Build the walls of Jerusalem.
[19] Then you will delight in the sacrifices of righteousness,
in burnt offerings and in whole burnt offerings.
Then they will offer bulls on your altar.

To the chief Musician,H5329(PielPtc) A PsalmH4210 of David,H1732 when NathanH5416 the prophetH5030 cameH935(QalInf) unto him, after he had gone inH935(QalPerf) to Bathsheba.H1339
Have mercyH2603(QalImpv) upon me, O God,H430 according to thy lovingkindness:H2617 according unto the multitudeH7230 of thy tender merciesH7356 blot outH4229(QalImpv) my transgressions.H6588 [2] WashH3526(PielImpv) me throughlyH7235(HiphImpv) from mine iniquity,H5771 and cleanseH2891(PielImpv) me from my sin.H2403 [3] For I acknowledgeH3045(QalImpf) my transgressions:H6588 and my sinH2403 [is] everH8548 before me. [4] Against thee, thee only, have I sinned,H2398(QalPerf) and doneH6213(QalPerf) [this] evilH7451 in thy sight:H5869 that thou mightest be justifiedH6663(QalImpf) when thou speakest,H1696(QalInf) [and] be clearH2135(QalImpf) when thou judgest.H8199(QalInf) [5] Behold, I was shapenH2342(PulaPerf) in iniquity;H5771 and in sinH2399 did my motherH517 conceiveH3179(PielPerf) me. [6] Behold, thou desirestH2654(QalPerf) truthH571 in the inward parts:H2910 and in the hiddenH5640(QalPasPtc) [part] thou shalt make me to knowH3045(HiphImpf) wisdom.H2451 [7] PurgeH2398(PielImpf) me with hyssop,H231 and I shall be clean:H2891(QalImpf) washH3526(PielImpf) me, and I shall be whiterH3835(HiphImpf) than snow.H7950 [8] Make me to hearH8085(HiphImpf) joyH8342 and gladness;H8057 [that] the bonesH6106 [which] thou hast brokenH1794(PielPerf) may rejoice.H1523(QalImpf) [9] HideH5641(HiphImpv) thy faceH6440 from my sins,H2399 and blot outH4229(QalImpv) all mine iniquities.H5771 [10] CreateH1254(QalImpv) in me a cleanH2889 heart,H3820 O God;H430 and renewH2318(PielImpv) a rightH3559(NiphPtc) spiritH7307 withinH7130 me. [11] Cast me not awayH7993(HiphImpf) from thy presence;H6440 and takeH3947(QalImpf) not thy holyH6944 spiritH7307 from me. [12] RestoreH7725(HiphImpv) unto me the joyH8342 of thy salvation;H3468 and upholdH5564(QalImpf) me [with thy] freeH5081 spirit.H7307 [13] [Then] will I teachH3925(PielImpf) transgressorsH6586(QalActPtc) thy ways;H1870 and sinnersH2400 shall be convertedH7725(QalImpf) unto thee. [14] DeliverH5337(HiphImpv) me from bloodguiltiness,H1818 O God,H430 thou GodH430 of my salvation:H8668 [and] my tongueH3956 shall sing aloudH7442(PielImpf) of thy righteousness.H6666 [15] O Lord,H136 openH6605(QalImpf) thou my lips;H8193 and my mouthH6310 shall shew forthH5046(HiphImpf) thy praise.H8416 [16] For thou desirestH2654(QalImpf) not sacrifice;H2077 else would I giveH5414(QalImpf) [it]: thou delightestH7521(QalImpf) not in burnt offering.H5930 [17] The sacrificesH2077 of GodH430 [are] a brokenH7665(NiphPtc) spirit:H7307 a brokenH7665(NiphPtc) and a contriteH1794(NiphPtc) heart,H3820 O God,H430 thou wilt not despise.H959(QalImpf) [18] Do goodH3190(HiphImpv) in thy good pleasureH7522 unto Zion:H6726 buildH1129(QalImpf) thou the wallsH2346 of Jerusalem.H3389 [19] Then shalt thou be pleasedH2654(QalImpf) with the sacrificesH2077 of righteousness,H6664 with burnt offeringH5930 and wholeH3632 burnt offering:H5930 then shall they offerH5927(HiphImpf) bullocksH6499 upon thine altar.H4196Byzantine Greek New Testament
