[1]
neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.
[2] For your arrows have pierced me,
your hand presses hard on me.
[3] There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation,
neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.
[4] For my iniquities have gone over my head.
As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.
[5] My wounds are loathsome and corrupt
because of my foolishness.
[6] I am in pain and bowed down greatly.
I go mourning all day long.
[7] For my waist is filled with burning.
There is no soundness in my flesh.
[8] I am faint and severely bruised.
I have groaned by reason of the anguish of my heart.
[9] Lord, all my desire is before you.
My groaning is not hidden from you.
[10] My heart throbs.
My strength fails me.
As for the light of my eyes, it has also left me.
[11] My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague.
My kinsmen stand far away.
[12] They also who seek after my life lay snares.
Those who seek my hurt speak mischievous things,
and meditate deceits all day long.
[13] But I, as a deaf man, don’t hear.
I am as a mute man who doesn’t open his mouth.
[14] Yes, I am as a man who doesn’t hear,
in whose mouth are no reproofs.
[15] For I hope in you, Yahweh.
You will answer, Lord my God.
[16] For I said, “Don’t let them gloat over me,
or exalt themselves over me when my foot slips.”
[17] For I am ready to fall.
My pain is continually before me.
[18] For I will declare my iniquity.
I will be sorry for my sin.
[19] But my enemies are vigorous and many.
Those who hate me without reason are numerous.
[20] They who render evil for good are also adversaries to me,
because I follow what is good.
[21] Don’t forsake me, Yahweh.
My God, don’t be far from me.
[22] Hurry to help me,
Lord, my salvation.
A Psalm by David, for a memorial.

A PsalmH4210 of David,H1732 to bring to remembrance.H2142(HiphInf)
O Lord,H3068 rebukeH3198(HiphImpf) me not in thy wrath:H7110 neither chastenH3256(PielImpf) me in thy hot displeasure.H2534 [2] For thine arrowsH2671 stick fastH5181(NiphPerf) in me, and thy handH3027 presseth me sore.H5181(QalImpf) [3] [There is] no soundnessH4974 in my fleshH1320 becauseH6440 of thine anger;H2195 neither [is there any] restH7965 in my bonesH6106 becauseH6440 of my sin.H2403 [4] For mine iniquitiesH5771 are gone overH5674(QalPerf) mine head:H7218 as an heavyH3515 burdenH4853 they are too heavyH3513(QalImpf) for me. [5] My woundsH2250 stinkH887(HiphPerf) [and] are corruptH4743(NiphPerf) becauseH6440 of my foolishness.H200 [6] I am troubled;H5753(NiphPerf) I am bowed downH7817(QalPerf) greatly;H3966 I goH1980(PielPerf) mourningH6937(QalActPtc) all the dayH3117 long. [7] For my loinsH3689 are filledH4390(QalPerf) with a loathsomeH7033(NiphPtc) [disease]: and [there is] no soundnessH4974 in my flesh.H1320 [8] I am feebleH6313(NiphPerf) and soreH3966 broken:H1794(NiphPerf) I have roaredH7580(QalPerf) by reason of the disquietnessH5100 of my heart.H3820 [9] Lord,H136 all my desireH8378 [is] before thee; and my groaningH585 is not hidH5641(NiphPerf) from thee. [10] My heartH3820 panteth,H5503(PilpPerf) my strengthH3581 failethH5800(QalPerf) me: as for the lightH216 of mine eyes,H5869 itH1992 also is goneH369 from me. [11] My loversH157(QalActPtc) and my friendsH7453 standH5975(QalImpf) aloof fromH5048 my sore;H5061 and my kinsmenH7138 standH5975(QalPerf) afar off.H7350 [12] They also that seekH1245(PielPtc) after my lifeH5315 lay snaresH5367(PielImpf) [for me]: and they that seekH1875(QalActPtc) my hurtH7451 speakH1696(PielPerf) mischievous things,H1942 and imagineH1897(QalImpf) deceitsH4820 all the dayH3117 long. [13] But I, as a deafH2795 [man], heardH8085(QalImpf) not; and [I was] as a dumb manH483 [that] openethH6605(QalImpf) not his mouth.H6310 [14] Thus I was as a manH376 that hearethH8085(QalActPtc) not, and in whose mouthH6310 [are] no reproofs.H8433 [15] For in thee, O Lord,H3068 do I hope:H3176(HiphPerf) thou wilt hear,H6030(QalImpf) O LordH136 my God.H430 [16] For I said,H559(QalPerf) [Hear me], lest [otherwise] they should rejoiceH8055(QalImpf) over me: when my footH7272 slippeth,H4131(QalInf) they magnifyH1431(HiphPerf) [themselves] against me. [17] For I [am] readyH3559(NiphPtc) to halt,H6761 and my sorrowH4341 [is] continuallyH8548 before me. [18] For I will declareH5046(HiphImpf) mine iniquity;H5771 I will be sorryH1672(QalImpf) for my sin.H2403 [19] But mine enemiesH341(QalActPtc) [are] lively,H2416 [and] they are strong:H6105(QalPerf) and they that hateH8130(QalActPtc) me wrongfullyH8267 are multiplied.H7231(QalPerf) [20] They also that renderH7999(PielPtc) evilH7451 for goodH2896 are mine adversaries;H7853(QalImpf) because I followH7291(QalInf) [the thing that] goodH2896 [is]. [21] ForsakeH5800(QalImpf) me not, O Lord:H3068 O my God,H430 be not farH7368(QalImpf) from me. [22] Make hasteH2363(QalImpv) to helpH5833 me, O LordH136 my salvation.H8668Byzantine Greek New Testament
