[1] “ ‘If anyone sins, in that he hears a public adjuration to testify, he being a witness, whether he has seen or known, if he doesn’t report it, then he shall bear his iniquity. [2] “ ‘Or if anyone touches any unclean thing, whether it is the carcass of an unclean animal, or the carcass of unclean livestock, or the carcass of unclean creeping things, and it is hidden from him, and he is unclean, then he shall be guilty. [3] “ ‘Or if he touches the uncleanness of man, whatever his uncleanness is with which he is unclean, and it is hidden from him; when he knows of it, then he shall be guilty. [4] “ ‘Or if anyone swears rashly with his lips to do evil or to do good—whatever it is that a man might utter rashly with an oath, and it is hidden from him—when he knows of it, then he will be guilty of one of these. [5] It shall be, when he is guilty of one of these, he shall confess that in which he has sinned; [6] and he shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh for his sin which he has sinned: a female from the flock, a lamb or a goat, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin. [7] “ ‘If he can’t afford a lamb, then he shall bring his trespass offering for that in which he has sinned, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, to Yahweh; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering. [8] He shall bring them to the priest, who shall first offer the one which is for the sin offering. He shall wring off its head from its neck, but shall not sever it completely. [9] He shall sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering on the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be drained out at the base of the altar. It is a sin offering. [10] He shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the ordinance; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin which he has sinned, and he shall be forgiven. [11] “ ‘But if he can’t afford two turtledoves or two young pigeons, then he shall bring as his offering for that in which he has sinned, one tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering. He shall put no oil on it, and he shall not put any frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering. [12] He shall bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it as the memorial portion, and burn it on the altar, on the offerings of Yahweh made by fire. It is a sin offering. [13] The priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin that he has sinned in any of these things, and he will be forgiven; and the rest shall be the priest’s, as the meal offering.’ ” [14] Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, [15] “If anyone commits a trespass, and sins unwittingly regarding Yahweh’s holy things, then he shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh: a ram without defect from the flock, according to your estimation in silver by shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering. [16] He shall make restitution for that which he has done wrong regarding the holy thing, and shall add a fifth part to it, and give it to the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and he will be forgiven. [17] “If anyone sins, doing any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, though he didn’t know it, he is still guilty, and shall bear his iniquity. [18] He shall bring a ram without defect from of the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass offering, to the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning the thing in which he sinned and didn’t know it, and he will be forgiven. [19] It is a trespass offering. He is certainly guilty before Yahweh.”

[5] And it shall be, when he shall be guiltyH816(QalImpf) in oneH259 of these [things], that he shall confessH3034(HithPerf) that he hath sinnedH2398(QalPerf) in that [thing]: [6] And he shall bringH935(HiphPerf) his trespass offeringH817 unto the LordH3068 for his sinH2403 which he hath sinned,H2398(QalPerf) a femaleH5347 from the flock,H6629 a lambH3776 or a kidH8166 of the goats,H5795 for a sin offering;H2403 and the priestH3548 shall make an atonementH3722(PielPerf) for him concerning his sin.H2403 [7] And if heH3027 be not ableH1767 to bringH5060(HiphImpf) a lamb,H7716 then he shall bringH935(HiphPerf) forH854 his trespass,H817 which he hath committed,H2398(QalPerf) twoH8147 turtledoves,H8449 or twoH8147 youngH1121 pigeons,H3123 unto the Lord;H3068 oneH259 for a sin offering,H2403 and the otherH259 for a burnt offering.H5930 [8] And he shall bringH935(HiphPerf) them unto the priest,H3548 who shall offerH7126(HiphPerf) [that] which [is] for the sin offeringH2403 first,H7223 and wring offH4454(QalPerf) his headH7218 fromH4136 his neck,H6203 but shall not divide [it] asunder:H914(HiphImpf) [9] And he shall sprinkleH5137(HiphPerf) of the bloodH1818 of the sin offeringH2403 upon the sideH7023 of the altar;H4196 and the restH7604(NiphPtc) of the bloodH1818 shall be wrung outH4680(NiphImpf) at the bottomH3247 of the altar:H4196 it [is] a sin offering.H2403 [10] And he shall offerH6213(QalImpf) the secondH8145 [for] a burnt offering,H5930 according to the manner:H4941 and the priestH3548 shall make an atonementH3722(PielPerf) for him for his sinH2403 which he hath sinned,H2398(QalPerf) and it shall be forgivenH5545(NiphPerf) him. [11] But if heH3027 be not able to bringH5381(HiphImpf) twoH8147 turtledoves,H8449 or twoH8147 youngH1121 pigeons,H3123 then he that sinnedH2398(QalPerf) shall bringH935(HiphPerf) for his offeringH7133 the tenthH6224 part of an ephahH374 of fine flourH5560 for a sin offering;H2403 he shall putH7760(QalImpf) no oilH8081 upon it, neither shall he putH5414(QalImpf) [any] frankincenseH3828 thereon: for it [is] a sin offering.H2403 [12] Then shall he bringH935(HiphPerf) it to the priest,H3548 and the priestH3548 shall takeH7061(QalPerf) his handfulH4393 of it, [even] a memorialH234 thereof, and burnH6999(HiphPerf) [it] on the altar,H4196 according to the offerings made by fireH801 unto the Lord:H3068 it [is] a sin offering.H2403 [13] And the priestH3548 shall make an atonementH3722(PielPerf) for him as touching his sinH2403 that he hath sinnedH2398(QalPerf) in oneH259 of these, and it shall be forgivenH5545(NiphPerf) him: and [the remnant] shall be the priest’s,H3548 as a meat offering.H4503 [14] And the LordH3068 spakeH1696(PielImpf) unto Moses,H4872 saying,H559(QalInf) [15] If a soulH5315 commitH4603(QalImpf) a trespass,H4604 and sinH2398(QalPerf) through ignorance,H7684 in the holy thingsH6944 of the Lord;H3068 then he shall bringH935(HiphPerf) for his trespassH817 unto the LordH3068 a ramH352 without blemishH8549 out of the flocks,H6629 with thy estimationH6187 by shekelsH8255 of silver,H3701 after the shekelH8255 of the sanctuary,H6944 for a trespass offering:H817 [16] And he shall make amendsH7999(PielImpf) for the harmH2398(QalPerf) that he hath done in the holy thing,H6944 and shall addH3254(HiphImpf) the fifth partH2549 thereto, and giveH5414(QalPerf) it unto the priest:H3548 and the priestH3548 shall make an atonementH3722(PielImpf) for him with the ramH352 of the trespass offering,H817 and it shall be forgivenH5545(NiphPerf) him. [19] It [is] a trespass offering:H817 he hath certainlyH816(QalInf) trespassedH816(QalPerf) against the Lord.H3068
