When they went into the Tent of Meeting, and when they came near to the altar, they washed, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

Moses wasn’t able to enter into the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.

And Moses H4872 was not able H3201 (QalPerf) to enter H935 (QalInf) into the tent H168 of the congregation, H4150 because the cloud H6051 abode H7931 (QalPerf) thereon, and the glory H3519 of the Lord H3068 filled H4390 (QalPerf) the tabernacle. H4908

Yahweh^§ called to Moses, and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, saying,

Leviticus 1:1 “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “Lord” (all caps) in other translations.

He shall kill the bull before Yahweh. Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall present the blood and sprinkle the blood around on the altar that is at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

He shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the Tent of Meeting. Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood around on the altar.

He shall lay his hand on its head, and kill it before the Tent of Meeting; and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar.

He shall bring the bull to the door of the Tent of Meeting before Yahweh; and he shall lay his hand on the head of the bull, and kill the bull before Yahweh.

The anointed priest shall take some of the blood of the bull, and bring it to the Tent of Meeting.

And the priest H3548 that is anointed H4899 shall take H3947 (QalPerf) of the bullock’s H6499 blood, H1818 and bring H935 (HiphPerf) it to the tabernacle H168 of the congregation: H4150

και λαβων ο ιερευς ο χριστος ο τετελειωμενος τας χειρας απο του αιματος του μοσχου και εισοισει αυτο επι την σκηνην του μαρτυριου

The priest shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of sweet incense before Yahweh, which is in the Tent of Meeting; and he shall pour out the rest of the blood of the bull at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

And the priest H3548 shall put H5414 (QalPerf) some of the blood H1818 upon the horns H7161 of the altar H4196 of sweet H5561 incense H7004 before H6440 the Lord, H3068 which is in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation; H4150 and shall pour H8210 (QalImpf) all the blood H1818 of the bullock H6499 at the bottom H3247 of the altar H4196 of the burnt offering, H5930 which is at the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation. when the sin in which they have sinned is known, then the assembly shall offer a young bull for a sin offering, and bring it before the Tent of Meeting.

when the sin, H2403 which they have sinned H2398 (QalPerf) against it, is known, H3045 (NiphPerf) then the congregation H6951 shall offer H7126 (HiphPerf) a young H1241 H1121 bullock H6499 for the sin, H2403 and bring H935 (HiphPerf) him before H6440 the tabernacle H168 of the congregation. H4150

και γνωσθη αυτοις η αμαρτια ην ημαρτον εν αυτη και προσαξει η συναγωγη μοσχον εκ βοων αμωμον περι της αμαρτιας και προσαξει αυτον παρα τας θυρας της σκηνης του μαρτυριου

The anointed priest shall bring some of the blood of the bull to the Tent of Meeting.

And the priest H3548 that is anointed H4899 shall bring H935 (HiphPerf) of the bullock’s H6499 blood H1818 to the tabernacle H168 of the congregation: H4150

και εισοισει ο ιερευς ο χριστος απο του αιματος του μοσχου εις την σκηνην του μαρτυριου

He shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar which is before Yahweh, that is in the Tent of Meeting; and the rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

And he shall put H5414 (QalImpf) some of the blood H1818 upon the horns H7161 of the altar H4196 which is before H6440 the Lord, H3068 that is in the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 and shall pour out H8210 (QalImpf) all the blood H1818 at the bottom H3247 of the altar H4196 of the burnt offering, H5930 which is at the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation. That which is left of it Aaron and his sons shall eat. It shall be eaten without yeast in a holy place. They shall eat it in the court of the Tent of Meeting.

And the remainder H3498 (NiphPtc) thereof shall Aaron H175 and his sons H1121 eat: H398 (QalImpf) with unleavened bread H4682 shall it be eaten H398 (NiphImpf) in the holy H6918 place; H4725 in the court H2691 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 they shall eat H398 (QalImpf) it.

The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place, in the court of the Tent of Meeting.

The priest H3548 that offereth it for sin H2398 (PielPtc) shall eat H398 (QalImpf) it: in the holy H6918 place H4725 shall it be eaten, H398 (NiphImpf) in the court H2691 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation. H4150

No sin offering, of which any of the blood is brought into the Tent of Meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be eaten. It shall be burned with fire.

And no sin offering, H2403 whereof any of the blood H1818 is brought H935 (HophImpf) into the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 to reconcile H3722 (PielInf) withal in the holy H6944 place, shall be eaten: H398 (NiphImpf) it shall be burnt H8313 (NiphImpf) in the fire. H784

and assemble all the congregation at the door of the Tent of Meeting.”

Moses did as Yahweh commanded him; and the congregation was assembled at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

And Moses H4872 did H6213 (QalImpf) as the Lord H3068 commanded H6680 (PielPerf) him; and the assembly H5712 was gathered together H6950 (NiphImpf) unto the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation. H4150

Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, “Boil the meat at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and there eat it and the bread that is in the basket of consecration, as I commanded, saying, ‘Aaron and his sons shall eat it.’

You shall not go out from the door of the Tent of Meeting for seven days, until the days of your consecration are fulfilled: for he shall consecrate you seven days.

And ye shall not go out H3318 (QalImpf) of the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 in seven H7651 days, H3117 until the days H3117 of your consecration H4394 be at an end: H4390 (QalInf) for seven H7651 days H3117 shall he consecrate H4390 (PielImpf) H3027 you.

You shall stay at the door of the Tent of Meeting day and night seven days, and keep Yahweh’s command, that you don’t die: for so I am commanded.”

και επι την θυραν της σκηνης του μαρτυριου καθησεσθε επτα ημερας ημεραν και νυκτα φυλαξεσθε τα φυλαγματα κυριου ινα μη αποθανητε ουτως γαρ ενετειλατο μοι κυριος ο θεος

They brought what Moses commanded before the Tent of Meeting. All the congregation came near and stood before Yahweh.

And they brought H3947 (QalImpf) that which Moses H4872 commanded H6680 (PielPerf) before H6440 the tabernacle H168 of the congregation: H4150 and all the congregation H5712 drew near H7126 (QalImpf) and stood H5975 (QalImpf) before H6440 the Lord. H3068

και ελαβον καθο ενετειλατο μωυσης απεναντι της σκηνης του μαρτυριου και προσηλθεν πασα συναγωγη και εστησαν εναντι κυριου

Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of Meeting, and came out, and blessed the people; and Yahweh’s glory appeared to all the people.

και εισηλθεν μωυσης και ααρων εις την σκηνην του μαρτυριου και εξελθοντες ευλογησαν παντα τον λαον και ωφθη η δοξα κυριου παντι τω λαω

You shall not go out from the door of the Tent of Meeting, lest you die; for the anointing oil of Yahweh is on you.” They did according to the word of Moses.

“You and your sons are not to drink wine or strong drink whenever you go into the Tent of Meeting, or you will die. This shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.

και πλυνει ο καθαρισθεις τα ιματια αυτου και ξυρηθησεται αυτου πασαν την τριχα και λουσεται εν υδατι και καθαρος εσται και μετα ταυτα εισελευσεται εις την παρεμβολην και διατριψει εξω του οικου αυτου επτα ημερας

The priest who cleanses him shall set the man who is to be cleansed, and those things, before Yahweh, at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

And the priest H3548 that maketh him clean H2891 (PielPtc) shall present H5975 (HiphPerf) the man H376 that is to be made clean, H2891 (HithPtc) and those things, before H6440 the Lord, H3068 at the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation: H4150
