After many days, Yahweh’s word came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, “Go, show yourself to Ahab; and I will send rain on the earth.”

And it came to pass after many H7227 days, H3117 that the word H1697 of the Lord H3068 came to Elijah H452 in the third H7992 year, H8141 saying, H559 (QalInf) Go, H3212 (QalImpv) shew H7200 (NiphImpv) thyself unto Ahab; H256 and I will send H5414 (QalImpf) rain H4306 upon H6440 the earth. H127

και εγενετο μεθ ημερας πολλας και ρημα κυριου εγενετο προς ηλιου εν τω ενιαυτω τω τριτω λεγων πορευθητι και οφθητι τω αχααβ και δωσω υετον επι προσωπον της γης

Ahab said to Obadiah, “Go through the land, to all the springs of water, and to all the brooks. Perhaps we may find grass and save the horses and mules alive, that we not lose all the animals.”

και ειπεν αχααβ προς αβδιου δευρο και διελθωμεν επι την γην επι πηγας των υδατων και επι χειμαρρους εαν πως ευρωμεν βοτανην και περιποιησωμεθα ιππους και ημιονους και ουκ εξολοθρευθησονται απο των κτηνων

As Obadiah was on the way, behold, Elijah met him. He recognized him, and fell on his face, and said, “Is it you, my lord Elijah?”

και ην αβδιου εν τη οδω μονος και ηλθεν ηλιου εις συναντησιν αυτου μονος και αβδιου εσπευσεν και επεσεν επι προσωπον αυτου και ειπεν ει συ ει αυτος κυριε μου ηλιου

He answered him, “It is I. Go, tell your lord, ‘Behold, Elijah is here!’ ”

και ειπεν ηλιου αυτω εγω πορευου λεγε τω κυριω σου ιδου ηλιου

He said, “How have I sinned, that you would deliver your servant into the hand of Ahab, to kill me?

και ειπεν αβδιου τι ημαρτηκα οτι διδως τον δουλον σου εις χειρα αχααβ του θανατωσαι με

As Yahweh your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you. When they said, ‘He is not here,’ he took an oath of the kingdom and nation that they didn’t find you.

As the Lord H3068 thy God H430 liveth, H2416 there is no H3426 nation H1471 or kingdom, H4467 whither H834 my lord H113 hath not sent H7971 (QalPerf) to seek H1245 (PielInf) thee: and when they said, H559 (QalPerf) He is not there; he took an oath H7650 (HiphPerf) of the kingdom H4467 and nation, H1471 that they found H4672 (QalImpf) thee not.

Now you say, ‘Go, tell your lord, “Behold, Elijah is here.” ’

και νυν συ λεγεις πορευου αναγγελλε τω κυριω σου ιδου ηλιου

Now you say, ‘Go, tell your lord, “Behold, Elijah is here”.’ He will kill me.”

και νυν συ λεγεις μοι πορευου λεγε τω κυριω σου ιδου ηλιου και αποκτενει με

Elijah said, “As Yahweh of Armies lives, before whom I stand, I will surely show myself to him today.”

And Elijah H452 said, H559 (QalImpf) As the Lord H3068 of hosts H6635 liveth, H2416 before H6440 whom I stand, H5975 (QalPerf) I will surely shew H7200 (NiphImpf) myself unto him to day. H3117

και ειπεν ηλιου ζη κυριος των δυναμεων ω παρεστην ενωπιον αυτου οτι σημερον οφθησομαι αυτω

When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, “Is that you, you troubler of Israel?”

And it came to pass, when Ahab H256 saw H7200 (QalInf) Elijah, H452 that Ahab H256 said H559 (QalImpf) unto him, Art thou he that troubleth H5916 (QalActPtc) Israel? H3478

και εγενετο ως ειδεν αχααβ τον ηλιου και ειπεν αχααβ προς ηλιου ει συ ει αυτος ο διαστρεφων τον ισραηλ

He answered, “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house, in that you have forsaken Yahweh’s commandments and you have followed the Baals.

And he answered, H559 (QalImpf) I have not troubled H5916 (QalPerf) Israel; H3478 but thou, and thy father’s H1 house, H1004 in that ye have forsaken H5800 (QalInf) the commandments H4687 of the Lord, H3068 and thou hast followed H3212 (QalImpf) H310 Baalim. H1168

και ειπεν ηλιου ου διαστρεφω τον ισραηλ οτι αλλ η συ και ο οικος του πατρος σου εν τω καταλιμπανειν υμας τον κυριον θεον υμων και επορευθης οπισω των βααλιμ

Elijah came near to all the people, and said, “How long will you waver between the two sides? If Yahweh is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” The people didn’t say a word.

You call on the name of your god, and I will call on Yahweh’s name. The God who answers by fire, let him be God.” All the people answered, “What you say is good.”

και βοατε εν ονοματι θεων υμων και εγω επικαλεσομαι εν ονοματι κυριου του θεου μου και εσται ο θεος ος εαν επακουση εν πυρι ουτος θεος και απεκριθησαν πας ο λαος και ειπον καλον το ρημα ο ελαλησας

Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one bull for yourselves, and dress it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it.”
