You took some of your garments, and made for yourselves high places decked with various colors, and played the prostitute on them. This shouldn’t happen, neither shall it be.

“But if a man is just, and does that which is lawful and right,

Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων

Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.

Moreover also I gave H5414 (QalPerf) them my sabbaths, H7676 to be a sign H226 between me and them, that they might know H3045 (QalInf) that I am the Lord H3068 that sanctify H6942 (PielPtc) them.

και τα σαββατα μου εδωκα αυτοις του ειναι εις σημειον ανα μεσον εμου και ανα μεσον αυτων του γνωναι αυτους διοτι εγω κυριος ο αγιαζων αυτους

Make my Sabbaths holy. They shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am Yahweh your God.’

and hallow H6942 (PielImpv) my sabbaths; H7676 and they shall be a sign H226 between me and you, that ye may know H3045 (QalInf) that I am the Lord H3068 your God. H430

και τα σαββατα μου αγιαζετε και εστω εις σημειον ανα μεσον εμου και υμων του γινωσκειν διοτι εγω κυριος ο θεος υμων

because they had not executed my ordinances, but had rejected my statutes, and had profaned my Sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols.

ανθ ων τα δικαιωματα μου ουκ εποιησαν και τα προσταγματα μου απωσαντο και τα σαββατα μου εβεβηλουν και οπισω των ενθυμηματων των πατερων αυτων ησαν οι οφθαλμοι αυτων

“‘“That which comes into your mind will not be at all, in that you say, ‘We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.’

And that which cometh H5927 (QalActPtc) into your mind H7307 shall not be at all, that ye say, H559 (QalActPtc) We will be H1961 (QalImpf) as the heathen, H1471 as the families H4940 of the countries, H776 to serve H8334 (PielInf) wood H6086 and stone. H68

και ουκ εσται ον τροπον υμεις λεγετε εσομεθα ως τα εθνη και ως αι φυλαι της γης του λατρευειν ξυλοις και λιθοις
