He shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar which is before Yahweh, that is in the Tent of Meeting; and the rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

He shall lay his hand on the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before Yahweh. It is a sin offering.

και μοσχον και κριον εις θυσιαν σωτηριου εναντι κυριου και σεμιδαλιν πεφυραμενην εν ελαιω οτι σημερον κυριος οφθησεται εν υμιν

They brought what Moses commanded before the Tent of Meeting. All the congregation came near and stood before Yahweh.

Fire came out from before Yahweh, and consumed the burnt offering and the fat upon the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer, and put fire in it, and laid incense on it, and offered strange fire before Yahweh, which he had not commanded them.

και λαβοντες οι δυο υιοι ααρων ναδαβ και αβιουδ εκαστος το πυρειον αυτου επεθηκαν επ αυτο πυρ και επεβαλον επ αυτο θυμιαμα και προσηνεγκαν εναντι κυριου πυρ αλλοτριον ο ου προσεταξεν κυριος αυτοις

Fire came out from before Yahweh, and devoured them, and they died before Yahweh.

και εξηλθεν πυρ παρα κυριου και κατεφαγεν αυτους και απεθανον εναντι κυριου

Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what Yahweh spoke of, saying, ‘I will show myself holy to those who come near me, and before all the people I will be glorified.’ ” Aaron held his peace.

Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said to them, “Draw near, carry your brothers from before the sanctuary out of the camp.”

Wherefore have ye not eaten H398 (QalPerf) the sin offering H2403 in the holy H6944 place, H4725 seeing it is most H6944 holy, H6944 and God hath given H5414 (QalPerf) it you to bear H5375 (QalInf) the iniquity H5771 of the congregation, H5712 to make atonement H3722 (PielInf) for them before H6440 the Lord? H3068

δια τι ουκ εφαγετε το περι της αμαρτιας εν τοπω αγιω οτι γαρ αγια αγιων εστιν τουτο εδωκεν υμιν φαγειν ινα αφελητε την αμαρτιαν της συναγωγης και εξιλασησθε περι αυτων εναντι κυριου

Aaron spoke to Moses, “Behold, today they have offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before Yahweh; and such things as these have happened to me. If I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have been pleasing in Yahweh’s sight?”

And Aaron H175 said H1696 (PielImpf) unto Moses, H4872 Behold, this day H3117 have they offered H7126 (HiphPerf) their sin offering H2403 and their burnt offering H5930 before H6440 the Lord; H3068 and such things have befallen H7122 (QalImpf) me: and if I had eaten H398 (QalPerf) the sin offering H2403 to day, H3117 should it have been accepted H3190 (QalImpf) in the sight H5869 of the Lord? και ελαλησεν ααρων προς μωυσην λεγων ει σημερον προσαγειοχασιν τα περι της αμαρτιας αυτων και τα ολοκαυτωματα αυτων εναντι κυριου και συμβεβηκεν μοι ταυτα και φαγομαι τα περι της αμαρτιας σημερον μη αρεστον εσται κυριω

He shall offer it before Yahweh, and make atonement for her; then she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood. “ ‘This is the law for her who bears, whether a male or a female.

If his hair has fallen off from the front part of his head, he is forehead bald. He is clean.

The priest who cleanses him shall set the man who is to be cleansed, and those things, before Yahweh, at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

“The priest shall take one of the male lambs, and offer him for a trespass offering, with the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before Yahweh.

The priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times before Yahweh.

The rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, and the priest shall make atonement for him before Yahweh.

“On the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, before Yahweh.

The priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before Yahweh.

of the kind he is able to afford, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meal offering. The priest shall make atonement for him who is to be cleansed before Yahweh.”

και ποιησει αυτα ο ιερευς μιαν περι αμαρτιας και μιαν εις ολοκαυτωμα και εξιλασεται περι αυτου ο ιερευς εναντι κυριου απο της ρυσεως αυτου

The priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her before Yahweh for the uncleanness of her discharge.

και ποιησει ο ιερευς την μιαν περι αμαρτιας και την μιαν εις ολοκαυτωμα και εξιλασεται περι αυτης ο ιερευς εναντι κυριου απο ρυσεως ακαθαρσιας αυτης

Yahweh spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they came near before Yahweh, and died;

και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην μετα το τελευτησαι τους δυο υιους ααρων εν τω προσαγειν αυτους πυρ αλλοτριον εναντι κυριου και ετελευτησαν

and Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into the Most Holy Place within the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark; lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.

και ειπεν κυριος προς μωυσην λαλησον προς ααρων τον αδελφον σου και μη εισπορευεσθω πασαν ωραν εις το αγιον εσωτερον του καταπετασματος εις προσωπον του ιλαστηριου ο εστιν επι της κιβωτου του μαρτυριου και ουκ αποθανειται εν γαρ νεφελη οφθησομαι επι του ιλαστηριου

He shall take the two goats, and set them before Yahweh at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

But the goat on which the lot fell for the scapegoat shall be presented alive before Yahweh, to make atonement for him, to send him away as the scapegoat into the wilderness.

But the goat, H8163 on which the lot H1486 fell H5927 (QalPerf) to be the scapegoat, H5799 shall be presented H5975 (HophImpf) alive H2416 before H6440 the Lord, H3068 to make an atonement H3722 (PielInf) with him, and to let him go H7971 (PielInf) for a scapegoat H5799 into the wilderness. H4057

και τον χιμαρον εφ ον επηλθεν επ αυτον ο κληρος του αποπομπαιου στησει αυτον ζωντα εναντι κυριου του εξιλασασθαι επ αυτου ωστε αποστειλαι αυτον εις την αποπομπην αφησει αυτον εις την ερημον

He shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before Yahweh, and two handfuls of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil.

and he shall take H3947 (QalPerf) a censer H4289 full H4393 of burning H784 coals H1513 of fire H784 from off the altar H4196 before H6440 the Lord, H3068 and his hands H2651 full H4393 of sweet H5561 incense H7004 beaten small, H1851 and bring H935 (HiphPerf) it within H1004 the vail: H6532

και λημψεται το πυρειον πληρες ανθρακων πυρος απο του θυσιαστηριου του απεναντι κυριου και πλησει τας χειρας θυμιαματος συνθεσεως λεπτης και εισοισει εσωτερον του καταπετασματος

He shall put the incense on the fire before Yahweh, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the covenant, so that he will not die.

and he shall put H5414 (QalPerf) the incense H7004 upon the fire H784 before H6440 the Lord, H3068 that the cloud H6051 of the incense H7004 may cover H3680 (PielPerf) the mercy seat H3727 that is upon the testimony, H5715 that he die H4191 (QalImpf) not:

και επιθησει το θυμιαμα επι το πυρ εναντι κυριου και καλυψει η ατμις του θυμιαματος το ιλαστηριον το επι των μαρτυριων και ουκ αποθανειται

He shall take some of the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

and he shall take H3947 (QalPerf) of the blood H1818 of the bullock, H6499 and sprinkle H5137 (HiphPerf) it with his finger H676 upon the mercy seat H3727 eastward; H6924 and before H6440 the mercy seat H3727 shall he sprinkle H5137 (HiphImpf) of the blood H1818 with his finger H676 seven H7651 times. H6471

και λημψεται απο του αιματος του μοσχου και ρανει τω δακτυλω επι το ιλαστηριον κατα ανατολας κατα προσωπον του ιλαστηριου ρανει επτακις απο του αιματος τω δακτυλω

“Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat and before the mercy seat.

Then shall he kill H7819 (QalPerf) the goat H8163 of the sin offering, H2403 that is for the people, H5971 and bring H935 (HiphPerf) his blood H1818 within H1004 the vail, H6532 and do H6213 (QalPerf) with that blood H1818 as he did H6213 (QalPerf) with the blood H1818 of the bullock, H6499 and sprinkle H5137 (HiphPerf) it upon the mercy seat, H3727 and before H6440 the mercy seat: H3727

και σφαξει τον χιμαρον τον περι της αμαρτιας τον περι του λαου εναντι κυριου και εισοισει απο του αιματος αυτου εσωτερον του καταπετασματος και ποιησει το αιμα αυτου ον τροπον εποιησεν το αιμα του μοσχου και ρανει το αιμα αυτου επι το ιλαστηριον κατα προσωπον του ιλαστηριου

“He shall go out to the altar that is before Yahweh and make atonement for it, and shall take some of the bull’s blood, and some of the goat’s blood, and put it around on the horns of the altar.

And he shall go out H3318 (QalPerf) unto the altar H4196 that is before H6440 the Lord, H3068 and make an atonement H3722 (PielPerf) for it; and shall take H3947 (QalPerf) of the blood H1818 of the bullock, H6499 and of the blood H1818 of the goat, H8163 and put H5414 (QalPerf) it upon the horns H7161 of the altar H4196 round about. H5439

και εξελευσεται επι το θυσιαστηριον το ον απεναντι κυριου και εξιλασεται επ αυτου και λημψεται απο του αιματος του μοσχου και απο του αιματος του χιμαρου και επιθησει επι τα κερατα του θυσιαστηριου κυκλω

for on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you. You shall be clean from all your sins before Yahweh.

for on that day H3117 shall the priest make an atonement H3722 (PielImpf) for you, to cleanse H2891 (PielInf) you, that ye may be clean H2891 (QalImpf) from all your sins H2403 before H6440 the Lord. H3068

εν γαρ τη ημερα ταυτη εξιλασεται περι υμων καθαρισαι υμας απο πασων των αμαρτιων υμων εναντι κυριου και καθαρισθησεσθε
