then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, ‘We are delivered,’ that you may do all these abominations?

They have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, “Peace, peace,” when there is no peace.

Therefore Yahweh of Armies says, “Behold, I will melt them and test them; for how should I deal with the daughter of my people?

Therefore thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 of hosts, H6635 Behold, I will melt H6884 (QalActPtc) them, and try H974 (QalPerf) them; for how shall I do H6213 (QalImpf) for H6440 the daughter H1323 of my people? H5971

^[9:6] δια τουτο ταδε λεγει κυριος ιδου εγω πυρωσω αυτους και δοκιμω αυτους οτι ποιησω απο προσωπου πονηριας θυγατρος λαου μου

Yahweh says, “Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice or walked in my ways,

Therefore Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says, “Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood and give them poisoned water to drink.

Yahweh of Armies says, “Consider, and call for the mourning women, that they may come. Send for the skillful women, that they may come.

Thus saith H559 (QalPerf) the Lord H3068 of hosts, H6635 Consider H995 (HiplImpv) ye, and call H7121 (QalImpv) for the mourning women, H6969 (PolePtc) that they may come; H935 (QalImpf) and send H7971 (QalImpv) for cunning H2450 women, that they may come: H935 (QalImpf)

^[9:16] ταδε λεγει κυριος καλεσατε τας θρηνουσας και ελθετωσαν και προς τας σοφας αποστειλατε και φθεγξασθωσαν

Yahweh says, “Don’t let the wise man glory in his wisdom. Don’t let the mighty man glory in his might. Don’t let the rich man glory in his riches.

^[9:22] ταδε λεγει κυριος μη καυχασθω ο σοφος εν τη σοφια αυτου και μη καυχασθω ο ισχυρος εν τη ισχυι αυτου και μη καυχασθω ο πλουσιος εν τω πλουτω αυτου

Yahweh says, “Don’t learn the way of the nations, and don’t be dismayed at the signs of the sky; for the nations are dismayed at them.

ταδε λεγει κυριος κατα τας οδους των εθνων μη μανθανετε και απο των σημειων του ουρανου μη φοβεισθε οτι φοβουνται αυτα τοις προσωποις αυτων

For Yahweh says, “Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this time, and will distress them, that they may feel it.”

Woe is me because of my injury! My wound is serious; but I said, “Truly this is my grief, and I must bear it.”

ο λογος ο γενομενος παρα κυριου προς ιερεμιαν λεγων

and say to them, Yahweh, the God of Israel says: ‘Cursed is the man who doesn’t hear the words of this covenant,

that I may establish the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey,’ as it is today.” Then I answered, and said, “Amen, Yahweh.”
