Jeremiah 11 (WEBP)
[1] The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,
[2] “Hear the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
[3] and say to them, Yahweh, the God of Israel says: ‘Cursed is the man who doesn’t hear the words of this covenant,
[4] which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the iron furnace,’ saying, ‘Obey my voice and do them, according to all which I command you; so you shall be my people, and I will be your God;
[5] that I may establish the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey,’ as it is today.” Then I answered, and said, “Amen, Yahweh.”
[6] Yahweh said to me, “Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Hear the words of this covenant, and do them.
[7] For I earnestly protested to your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even to this day, rising early and protesting, saying, “Obey my voice.”
[8] Yet they didn’t obey, nor turn their ear, but everyone walked in the stubbornness of their evil heart. Therefore I brought on them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they didn’t do them.’ ”
[9] Yahweh said to me, “A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
[10] They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words. They have gone after other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
[11] Therefore Yahweh says, ‘Behold, I will bring evil on them which they will not be able to escape; and they will cry to me, but I will not listen to them.
[12] Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry to the gods to which they offer incense, but they will not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
[13] For according to the number of your cities are your gods, Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem you have set up altars to the shameful thing, even altars to burn incense to Baal.’
[14] “Therefore don’t pray for this people. Don’t lift up cry or prayer for them; for I will not hear them in the time that they cry to me because of their trouble.
[15] What has my beloved to do in my house, since she has behaved lewdly with many, and the holy flesh has passed from you? When you do evil, then you rejoice.”
[16] Yahweh called your name, “A green olive tree, beautiful with goodly fruit.” With the noise of a great roar he has kindled fire on it, and its branches are broken.
[17] For Yahweh of Armies, who planted you, has pronounced evil against you, because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done to themselves in provoking me to anger by offering incense to Baal.
[18] Yahweh gave me knowledge of it, and I knew it. Then you showed me their doings.
[19] But I was like a gentle lamb that is led to the slaughter. I didn’t know that they had devised plans against me, saying, “Let’s destroy the tree with its fruit, and let’s cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.”
[20] But, Yahweh of Armies, who judges righteously, who tests the heart and the mind, I will see your vengeance on them; for to you I have revealed my cause.
[21] “Therefore Yahweh says concerning the men of Anathoth, who seek your life, saying, ‘You shall not prophesy in Yahweh’s name, that you not die by our hand’—
[22] therefore Yahweh of Armies says, ‘Behold, I will punish them. The young men will die by the sword. Their sons and their daughters will die by famine.
[23] There will be no remnant to them, for I will bring evil on the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.’ ”

Jeremiah 11 (KJVS)
[1] The word H1697 that came to Jeremiah H3414 from the LORD H3068, saying H559 (8800),
[2] Hear H8085 (8798) ye the words H1697 of this covenant H1285, and speak H1696 (8765) unto the men H376 of Judah H3063, and to the inhabitants H3427 (8802) of Jerusalem H3389;
[3] And say H559 (8804) thou unto them, Thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478; Cursed H779 (8803) [be] the man H376 that obeyeth H8085 (8799) not the words H1697 of this covenant H1285,
[4] Which I commanded H6680 (8765) your fathers H1 in the day H3117 [that] I brought them forth H3318 (8687) out of the land H776 of Egypt H4714, from the iron H1270 furnace H3564, saying H559 (8800), Obey H8085 (8798) my voice H6963, and do H6213 (8804) them, according to all which I command H6680 (8762) you: so shall ye be my people H5971, and I will be your God H430:
[5] That I may perform H6965 (8687) the oath H7621 which I have sworn H7650 (8738) unto your fathers H1, to give H5414 (8800) them a land H776 flowing H2100 (8802) with milk H2461 and honey H1706, as [it is] this day H3117. Then answered H6030 (8799) I, and said H559 (8799), So be it H543, O LORD H3068.
[6] Then the LORD H3068 said H559 (8799) unto me, Proclaim H7121 (8798) all these words H1697 in the cities H5892 of Judah H3063, and in the streets H2351 of Jerusalem H3389, saying H559 (8800), Hear H8085 (8798) ye the words H1697 of this covenant H1285, and do H6213 (8804) them.
[7] For I earnestly H5749 (8687) protested H5749 (8689) unto your fathers H1 in the day H3117 [that] I brought them up H5927 (8687) out of the land H776 of Egypt H4714, [even] unto this day H3117, rising early H7925 (8687) and protesting H5749 (8687), saying H559 (8800), Obey H8085 (8798) my voice H6963.
[8] Yet they obeyed H8085 (8804) not, nor inclined H5186 (8689) their ear H241, but walked H3212 (8799) every one H376 in the imagination H8307 of their evil H7451 heart H3820: therefore I will bring H935 (8686) upon them all the words H1697 of this covenant H1285, which I commanded H6680 (8765) [them] to do H6213 (8800); but they did H6213 (8804) [them] not.
[9] And the LORD H3068 said H559 (8799) unto me, A conspiracy H7195 is found H4672 (8738) among the men H376 of Judah H3063, and among the inhabitants H3427 (8802) of Jerusalem H3389.
[10] They are turned back H7725 (8804) to the iniquities H5771 of their forefathers H7223 H1, which refused H3985 (8765) to hear H8085 (8800) my words H1697; and they went H1980 (8804) after H310 other H312 gods H430 to serve H5647 (8800) them: the house H1004 of Israel H3478 and the house H1004 of Judah H3063 have broken H6565 (8689) my covenant H1285 which I made H3772 (8804) with their fathers H1.
[11] Therefore thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068, Behold, I will bring H935 (8688) evil H7451 upon them, which they shall not be able H3201 (8799) to escape H3318 (8800); and though they shall cry H2199 (8804) unto me, I will not hearken H8085 (8799) unto them.
[12] Then shall the cities H5892 of Judah H3063 and inhabitants H3427 (8802) of Jerusalem H3389 go H1980 (8804), and cry H2199 (8804) unto the gods H430 unto whom they offer incense H6999 (8764): but they shall not save H3467 (8686) them at all H3467 (8687) in the time H6256 of their trouble H7451.
[13] For [according to] the number H4557 of thy cities H5892 were thy gods H430, O Judah H3063; and [according to] the number H4557 of the streets H2351 of Jerusalem H3389 have ye set up H7760 (8804) altars H4196 to [that] shameful thing H1322, [even] altars H4196 to burn incense H6999 (8763) unto Baal H1168.
[14] Therefore pray H6419 (8691) not thou for this people H5971, neither lift up H5375 (8799) a cry H7440 or prayer H8605 for them: for I will not hear H8085 (8802) [them] in the time H6256 that they cry H7121 (8800) unto me for their trouble H7451.
[15] What hath my beloved H3039 to do in mine house H1004, [seeing] she hath wrought H6213 (8800) lewdness H4209 with many H7227, and the holy H6944 flesh H1320 is passed H5674 (8799) from thee? when thou doest evil H7451, then thou rejoicest H5937 (8799).
[16] The LORD H3068 called H7121 (8804) thy name H8034, A green H7488 olive tree H2132, fair H3303, [and] of goodly H8389 fruit H6529: with the noise H6963 of a great H1419 tumult H1999 he hath kindled H3341 (8689) fire H784 upon it, and the branches H1808 of it are broken H7489 (8804).
[17] For the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635, that planted H5193 (8802) thee, hath pronounced H1696 (8765) evil H7451 against thee, for H1558 the evil H7451 of the house H1004 of Israel H3478 and of the house H1004 of Judah H3063, which they have done H6213 (8804) against themselves to provoke me to anger H3707 (8687) in offering incense H6999 (8763) unto Baal H1168.
[18] And the LORD H3068 hath given me knowledge H3045 (8799) [of it], and I know H3045 (8689) [it]: then thou shewedst H7200 (8689) me their doings H4611.
[19] But I [was] like a lamb H3532 [or] an ox H441 [that] is brought H2986 (8714) to the slaughter H2873 (8800); and I knew H3045 (8804) not that they had devised H2803 (8804) devices H4284 against me, [saying], Let us destroy H7843 (8686) the tree H6086 with the fruit H3899 thereof, and let us cut him off H3772 (8799) from the land H776 of the living H2416, that his name H8034 may be no more remembered H2142 (8735).
[20] But, O LORD H3068 of hosts H6635, that judgest H8199 (8802) righteously H6664, that triest H974 (8802) the reins H3629 and the heart H3820, let me see H7200 (8799) thy vengeance H5360 on them: for unto thee have I revealed H1540 (8765) my cause H7379.
[21] Therefore thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068 of the men H582 of Anathoth H6068, that seek H1245 (8764) thy life H5315, saying H559 (8800), Prophesy H5012 (8735) not in the name H8034 of the LORD H3068, that thou die H4191 (8799) not by our hand H3027:
[22] Therefore thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635, Behold, I will punish H6485 (8802) them: the young men H970 shall die H4191 (8799) by the sword H2719; their sons H1121 and their daughters H1323 shall die H4191 (8799) by famine H7458:
[23] And there shall be no remnant H7611 of them: for I will bring H935 (8686) evil H7451 upon the men H582 of Anathoth H6068, [even] the year H8141 of their visitation H6486.
Young’s Literal Translation
Jeremiah 11 (YLT)
[1] The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying:
[2] ‘Hear ye the words of this covenant, and ye have spoken unto the men of Judah, and unto the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
[3] and thou hast said unto them, Thus said Jehovah God of Israel: Cursed is the man who doth not obey the words of this covenant,
[4] That I commanded your fathers, In the day of My bringing them out from the land of Egypt, Out of the iron furnace, saying, Hearken to My voice, and ye have done them, According to all that I command you, And ye have been to Me for a people, And I am to you for God,
[5] In order to establish the oath that I have sworn to your fathers, To give to them a land flowing with milk and honey, as this day. And I answer and say, ‘Amen, O Jehovah.’
[6] And Jehovah saith unto me, ‘Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying: Hear ye the words of this covenant, And ye have done them.
[7] For I certainly testified against your fathers, In the day of My bringing them up out of the land of Egypt-till this day, Rising early and testifying, saying, Hearken to My voice,
[8] And they have not hearkened nor inclined their ear, And they walk each in the stubbornness of their evil heart, And I bring on them all the words of this covenant, That I commanded to do, and they did not.’
[9] And Jehovah saith unto me: ‘A conspiracy is found in the men of Judah, And in the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
[10] They have turned back to the iniquities of their first fathers, Who refused to hear My words, And they have gone after other gods to serve them, The house of Israel, and the house of Judah, Have made void My covenant, that I made with their fathers.
[11] Therefore thus said Jehovah: Lo, I am bringing in unto them evil, That they are not able to go out from, And they have cried unto Me, And I do not hearken unto them.
[12] And the cities of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem have gone, And they have cried unto the gods, To whom they are making perfume, And they give no deliverance at all to them, In the time of their vexation.
[13] For-the number of thy cities have been thy gods, O Judah, And-the number of the streets of Jerusalem Ye have placed altars to a shameful thing, Altars to make perfume to Baal.
[14] And thou, thou dost not pray for this people, Nor dost thou lift up for them cry and prayer, For I do not hearken in the time of their calling unto Me for their vexation.
[15] What-to My beloved in My house, Her doing wickedness with many, And the holy flesh do pass over from thee? When thou dost evil, then thou exultest.
[16] ‘An olive, green, fair, of goodly fruit,’ Hath Jehovah called thy name, At the noise of a great tumult He hath kindled fire against it, And broken have been its thin branches.
[17] And Jehovah of Hosts, who is planting thee, Hath spoken evil concerning thee, For the evil of the house of Israel, and of the house of Judah, That they have done to themselves, To provoke Me to anger, to make perfume to Baal.
[18] And, O Jehovah, cause me to know, and I know, Then Thou hast showed me their doings.
[19] And I am as a trained lamb brought to slaughter, And I have not known That against me they have devised devices: We destroy the tree with its food, and cut him off From the land of the living, And his name is not remembered again.
[20] And O Jehovah of Hosts, judging righteousness, Trying reins and heart, I do see Thy vengeance against them, For unto Thee I have revealed my cause.’
[21] Therefore, thus said Jehovah concerning the men of Anathoth, who are seeking thy life, saying: Do not prophesy in the name of Jehovah, And thou dost not die by our hands.
[22] Therefore, thus said Jehovah of Hosts: ‘Lo, I am seeing after them, The chosen ones die by sword, Their sons and their daughters die by famine,
[23] And they have no remnant, For I bring evil unto the men of Anathoth, The year of their inspection!’
