Jeremiah 32 (WEBP)
[1] This is the word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.
[2] Now at that time the king of Babylon’s army was besieging Jerusalem. Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah’s house.
[3] For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, “Why do you prophesy, and say, ‘Yahweh says, “Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will take it;
[4] and Zedekiah king of Judah won’t escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but will surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes will see his eyes;
[5] and he will bring Zedekiah to Babylon, and he will be there until I visit him,” says Yahweh, “though you fight with the Chaldeans, you will not prosper” ’?”
[6] Jeremiah said, “Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
[7] ‘Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you, saying, “Buy my field that is in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is yours to buy it.” ’ ”
[8] “So Hanamel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the guard according to Yahweh’s word, and said to me, ‘Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours. Buy it for yourself.’ “Then I knew that this was Yahweh’s word.
[9] I bought the field that was in Anathoth of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels° of silver.
[10] I signed the deed, sealed it, called witnesses, and weighed the money in the balances to him.
[11] So I took the deed of the purchase, both that which was sealed, containing the terms and conditions, and that which was open;
[12] and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.
[13] “I commanded Baruch before them, saying,
[14] Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase which is sealed, and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may last many days.’
[15] For Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says: ‘Houses and fields and vineyards will yet again be bought in this land.’
[16] Now after I had delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to Yahweh, saying,
[17] “Ah Lord Yahweh! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you.
[18] You show loving kindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them. The great, the mighty God, Yahweh of Armies is your name:
[19] great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open to all the ways of the children of men, to give everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings;
[20] who performed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even to this day, both in Israel and among other men; and made yourself a name, as it is today;
[21] and brought your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, with wonders, with a strong hand, with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;
[22] and gave them this land, which you swore to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey.
[23] They came in and possessed it, but they didn’t obey your voice and didn’t walk in your law. They have done nothing of all that you commanded them to do. Therefore you have caused all this evil to come upon them.
[24] “Behold, siege ramps have been built against the city to take it. The city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, of the famine, and of the pestilence. What you have spoken has happened. Behold, you see it.
[25] You have said to me, Lord Yahweh, ‘Buy the field for money, and call witnesses;’ whereas the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.”
[26] Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,
[27] “Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?
[28] Therefore Yahweh says: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will take it.
[29] The Chaldeans, who fight against this city, will come and set this city on fire, and burn it with the houses on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.
[30] “For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only that which was evil in my sight from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, says Yahweh.
[31] For this city has been to me a provocation of my anger and of my wrath from the day that they built it even to this day, so that I should remove it from before my face,
[32] because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger—they, their kings, their princes, their priests, their prophets, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
[33] They have turned their backs to me, and not their faces. Although I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.
[34] But they set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.
[35] They built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through fire to Molech, which I didn’t command them. It didn’t even come into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.”
[36] Now therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, says concerning this city, about which you say, “It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:”
[37] “Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries where I have driven them in my anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them again to this place. I will cause them to dwell safely.
[38] Then they will be my people, and I will be their God.
[39] I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good and the good of their children after them.
[40] I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good. I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.
[41] Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.”
[42] For Yahweh says: “Just as I have brought all this great evil on this people, so I will bring on them all the good that I have promised them.
[43] Fields will be bought in this land, about which you say, ‘It is desolate, without man or animal. It is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.’
[44] Men will buy fields for money, sign the deeds, seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places around Jerusalem, in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South; for I will cause their captivity to be reversed,” says Yahweh.

Jeremiah 32 (KJVS)
[1] The word H1697 that came to Jeremiah H3414 from the LORD H3068 in the tenth H6224 year H8141 of Zedekiah H6667 king H4428 of Judah H3063, which [was] the eighteenth H8083 H6240 H8141 year H8141 of Nebuchadrezzar H5019.
[2] For then the king H4428 of Babylon’s H894 army H2428 besieged H6696 (8802) Jerusalem H3389: and Jeremiah H3414 the prophet H5030 was shut up H3607 (8803) in the court H2691 of the prison H4307, which [was] in the king H4428 of Judah’s H3063 house H1004.
[3] For Zedekiah H6667 king H4428 of Judah H3063 had shut him up H3607 (8804), saying H559 (8800), Wherefore dost thou prophesy H5012 (8737), and say H559 (8800), Thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068, Behold, I will give H5414 (8802) this city H5892 into the hand H3027 of the king H4428 of Babylon H894, and he shall take H3920 (8804) it;
[4] And Zedekiah H6667 king H4428 of Judah H3063 shall not escape H4422 (8735) out of the hand H3027 of the Chaldeans H3778, but shall surely H5414 (8736) be delivered H5414 (8735) into the hand H3027 of the king H4428 of Babylon H894, and shall speak H1696 (8765) with him mouth H6310 to mouth H6310, and his eyes H5869 shall behold H7200 (8799) his eyes H5869;
[5] And he shall lead H3212 (8686) Zedekiah H6667 to Babylon H894, and there shall he be until I visit H6485 (8800) him, saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068: though ye fight H3898 (8735) with the Chaldeans H3778, ye shall not prosper H6743 (8686).
[6] And Jeremiah H3414 said H559 (8799), The word H1697 of the LORD H3068 came unto me, saying H559 (8800),
[7] Behold, Hanameel H2601 the son H1121 of Shallum H7967 thine uncle H1730 shall come H935 (8802) unto thee, saying H559 (8800), Buy H7069 (8798) thee my field H7704 that [is] in Anathoth H6068: for the right H4941 of redemption H1353 [is] thine to buy H7069 (8800) [it].
[8] So Hanameel H2601 mine uncle’s H1730 son H1121 came H935 (8799) to me in the court H2691 of the prison H4307 according to the word H1697 of the LORD H3068, and said H559 (8799) unto me, Buy H7069 (8798) my field H7704, I pray thee, that [is] in Anathoth H6068, which [is] in the country H776 of Benjamin H1144: for the right H4941 of inheritance H3425 [is] thine, and the redemption H1353 [is] thine; buy H7069 (8798) [it] for thyself. Then I knew H3045 (8799) that this [was] the word H1697 of the LORD H3068.
[9] And I bought H7069 (8799) the field H7704 of Hanameel H2601 my uncle’s H1730 son H1121, that [was] in Anathoth H6068, and weighed H8254 (8799) him the money H3701, [even] seventeen H7651 H6235 shekels H8255 of silver H3701.
[10] And I subscribed H3789 (8799) the evidence H5612, and sealed H2856 (8799) [it], and took H5749 (8686) witnesses H5707, and weighed H8254 (8799) [him] the money H3701 in the balances H3976.
[11] So I took H3947 (8799) the evidence H5612 of the purchase H4736, [both] that which was sealed H2856 (8803) [according] to the law H4687 and custom H2706, and that which was open H1540 (8803):
[12] And I gave H5414 (8799) the evidence H5612 of the purchase H4736 unto Baruch H1263 the son H1121 of Neriah H5374, the son H1121 of Maaseiah H4271, in the sight H5869 of Hanameel H2601 mine uncle’s H1730 [son], and in the presence H5869 of the witnesses H5707 that subscribed H3789 (8802) the book H5612 of the purchase H4736, before H5869 all the Jews H3064 that sat H3427 (8802) in the court H2691 of the prison H4307.
[13] And I charged H6680 (8762) Baruch H1263 before H5869 them, saying H559 (8800),
[14] Thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635, the God H430 of Israel H3478; Take H3947 (8800) these evidences H5612, this evidence H5612 of the purchase H4736, both which is sealed H2856 (8803), and this evidence H5612 which is open H1540 (8803); and put H5414 (8804) them in an earthen H2789 vessel H3627, that they may continue H5975 (8799) many H7227 days H3117.
[15] For thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635, the God H430 of Israel H3478; Houses H1004 and fields H7704 and vineyards H3754 shall be possessed again H7069 (8735) in this land H776.
[16] Now when H310 I had delivered H5414 (8800) the evidence H5612 of the purchase H4736 unto Baruch H1263 the son H1121 of Neriah H5374, I prayed H6419 (8691) unto the LORD H3068, saying H559 (8800),
[17] Ah H162 Lord H136 GOD H3069! behold, thou hast made H6213 (8804) the heaven H8064 and the earth H776 by thy great H1419 power H3581 and stretched out H5186 (8803) arm H2220, [and] there is nothing H1697 too hard H6381 (8735) for thee:
[18] Thou shewest H6213 (8802) lovingkindness H2617 unto thousands H505, and recompensest H7999 (8764) the iniquity H5771 of the fathers H1 into the bosom H2436 of their children H1121 after H310 them: the Great H1419, the Mighty H1368 God H410, the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635, [is] his name H8034,
[19] Great H1419 in counsel H6098, and mighty H7227 in work H5950: for thine eyes H5869 [are] open H6491 (8803) upon all the ways H1870 of the sons H1121 of men H120: to give H5414 (8800) every one H376 according to his ways H1870, and according to the fruit H6529 of his doings H4611:
[20] Which hast set H7760 (8804) signs H226 and wonders H4159 in the land H776 of Egypt H4714, [even] unto this day H3117, and in Israel H3478, and among [other] men H120; and hast made H6213 (8799) thee a name H8034, as at this day H3117;
[21] And hast brought forth H3318 (8686) thy people H5971 Israel H3478 out of the land H776 of Egypt H4714 with signs H226, and with wonders H4159, and with a strong H2389 hand H3027, and with a stretched out H5186 (8803) arm H248, and with great H1419 terror H4172;
[22] And hast given H5414 (8799) them this land H776, which thou didst swear H7650 (8738) to their fathers H1 to give H5414 (8800) them, a land H776 flowing H2100 (8802) with milk H2461 and honey H1706;
[23] And they came in H935 (8799), and possessed H3423 (8799) it; but they obeyed H8085 (8804) not thy voice H6963, neither walked H1980 (8804) in thy law H8451; they have done H6213 (8804) nothing of all that thou commandedst H6680 (8765) them to do H6213 (8800): therefore thou hast caused all this evil H7451 to come H7122 (8686) upon them:
[24] Behold the mounts H5550, they are come H935 (8804) unto the city H5892 to take H3920 (8800) it; and the city H5892 is given H5414 (8738) into the hand H3027 of the Chaldeans H3778, that fight H3898 (8737) against it, because H6440 of the sword H2719, and of the famine H7458, and of the pestilence H1698: and what thou hast spoken H1696 (8765) is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest H7200 (8802) [it].
[25] And thou hast said H559 (8804) unto me, O Lord H136 GOD H3069, Buy H7069 (8798) thee the field H7704 for money H3701, and take H5749 (8685) witnesses H5707; for the city H5892 is given H5414 (8738) into the hand H3027 of the Chaldeans H3778.
[26] Then came the word H1697 of the LORD H3068 unto Jeremiah H3414, saying H559 (8800),
[27] Behold, I [am] the LORD H3068, the God H430 of all flesh H1320: is there any thing H1697 too hard H6381 (8735) for me?
[28] Therefore thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068; Behold, I will give H5414 (8802) this city H5892 into the hand H3027 of the Chaldeans H3778, and into the hand H3027 of Nebuchadrezzar H5019 king H4428 of Babylon H894, and he shall take H3920 (8804) it:
[29] And the Chaldeans H3778, that fight H3898 (8737) against this city H5892, shall come H935 (8804) and set H3341 (8689) fire H784 on this city H5892, and burn H8313 (8804) it with the houses H1004, upon whose roofs H1406 they have offered incense H6999 (8765) unto Baal H1168, and poured out H5258 (8689) drink offerings H5262 unto other H312 gods H430, to provoke me to anger H3707 (8687).
[30] For the children H1121 of Israel H3478 and the children H1121 of Judah H3063 have only done H6213 (8802) evil H7451 before H5869 me from their youth H5271: for the children H1121 of Israel H3478 have only provoked me to anger H3707 (8688) with the work H4639 of their hands H3027, saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068.
[31] For this city H5892 hath been to me [as] a provocation of mine anger H639 and of my fury H2534 from the day H3117 that they built H1129 (8804) it even unto this day H3117; that I should remove H5493 (8687) it from before my face H6440,
[32] Because of all the evil H7451 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478 and of the children H1121 of Judah H3063, which they have done H6213 (8804) to provoke me to anger H3707 (8687), they, their kings H4428, their princes H8269, their priests H3548, and their prophets H5030, and the men H376 of Judah H3063, and the inhabitants H3427 (8802) of Jerusalem H3389.
[33] And they have turned H6437 (8799) unto me the back H6203, and not the face H6440: though I taught H3925 (8763) them, rising up early H7925 (8687) and teaching H3925 (8763) [them], yet they have not hearkened H8085 (8802) to receive H3947 (8800) instruction H4148.
[34] But they set H7760 (8799) their abominations H8251 in the house H1004, which is called H7121 (8738) by my name H8034, to defile H2930 (8763) it.
[35] And they built H1129 (8799) the high places H1116 of Baal H1168, which [are] in the valley H1516 of the son H1121 of Hinnom H2011, to cause their sons H1121 and their daughters H1323 to pass H5674 (8687) through [the fire] unto Molech H4432; which I commanded H6680 (8765) them not, neither came H5927 (8804) it into my mind H3820, that they should do H6213 (8800) this abomination H8441, to cause Judah H3063 to sin H2398 (8687).
[36] And now therefore thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068, the God H430 of Israel H3478, concerning this city H5892, whereof ye say H559 (8802), It shall be delivered H5414 (8738) into the hand H3027 of the king H4428 of Babylon H894 by the sword H2719, and by the famine H7458, and by the pestilence H1698;
[37] Behold, I will gather them out H6908 (8764) of all countries H776, whither I have driven H5080 (8689) them in mine anger H639, and in my fury H2534, and in great H1419 wrath H7110; and I will bring them again H7725 (8689) unto this place H4725, and I will cause them to dwell H3427 (8689) safely H983:
[38] And they shall be my people H5971, and I will be their God H430:
[39] And I will give H5414 (8804) them one H259 heart H3820, and one H259 way H1870, that they may fear H3372 (8800) me for ever H3117, for the good H2896 of them, and of their children H1121 after H310 them:
[40] And I will make H3772 (8804) an everlasting H5769 covenant H1285 with them, that I will not turn away H7725 (8799) from them H310, to do them good H3190 (8687); but I will put H5414 (8799) my fear H3374 in their hearts H3824, that they shall not depart H5493 (8800) from me.
[41] Yea, I will rejoice H7797 (8804) over them to do them good H2895 (8687), and I will plant H5193 (8804) them in this land H776 assuredly H571 with my whole heart H3820 and with my whole soul H5315.
[42] For thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068; Like as I have brought H935 (8689) all this great H1419 evil H7451 upon this people H5971, so will I bring H935 (8688) upon them all the good H2896 that I have promised H1696 (8802) them.
[43] And fields H7704 shall be bought H7069 (8738) in this land H776, whereof ye say H559 (8802), [It is] desolate H8077 without man H120 or beast H929; it is given H5414 (8738) into the hand H3027 of the Chaldeans H3778.
[44] Men shall buy H7069 (8799) fields H7704 for money H3701, and subscribe H3789 (8800) evidences H5612, and seal H2856 (8800) [them], and take H5749 (8687) witnesses H5707 in the land H776 of Benjamin H1144, and in the places about H5439 Jerusalem H3389, and in the cities H5892 of Judah H3063, and in the cities H5892 of the mountains H2022, and in the cities H5892 of the valley H8219, and in the cities H5892 of the south H5045: for I will cause their captivity H7622 to return H7725 (8686), saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068.
Young’s Literal Translation
Jeremiah 32 (YLT)
[1] The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah-it is the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar,
[2] And then the forces of the king of Babylon are laying siege against Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet hath been shut up in the court of the prison that is in the house of the king of Judah,
[3] Where Zedekiah king of Judah hath shut him up, saying, ‘Wherefore art thou prophesying, saying, Thus said Jehovah, Lo, I am giving this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he hath captured it;
[4] And Zedekiah king of Judah doth not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but is certainly given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and his mouth hath spoken with his mouth, and his eyes see his eyes,
[5] And to Babylon he leadeth Zedekiah, and there he is till My inspecting him,-an affirmation of Jehovah-because ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye do not prosper.’
[6] And Jeremiah saith, ‘A word of Jehovah hath been unto me saying,
[7] Lo, Hanameel son of Shallum, thine uncle, is coming unto thee, saying, Buy for thee my field that is in Anathoth, for thine is the right of redemption-to buy.
[8] And Hanameel, my uncle’s son, cometh in unto me, according to the word of Jehovah, unto the court of the prison, and saith unto me, ‘Buy, I pray thee, my field that is in Anathoth, that is in the land of Benjamin, for thine is the right of possession, and thine of redemption-buy for thee.’ And I know that it is the word of Jehovah,
[9] And I buy the field, that is in Anathoth, from Hanameel, my uncle’s son, and I weigh to him the money-seventeen shekels of silver.
[10] And I write in a book, and seal, and cause witnesses to testify, and weigh the silver in balances;
[11] And I take the purchase-book, the sealed one, according to law and custom, and the open one.
[12] And I give the purchase-book unto Baruch son of Neriah, son of Maaseiah, before the eyes of Hanameel, my uncle’s son, and before the eyes of the witnesses, those writing in the purchase-book, before the eyes of all the Jews who are sitting in the court of the prison.
[13] And I charge Baruch before their eyes, saying,
[14] ‘Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, Take these books, this purchase-book, both the sealed one and the open one, and thou hast put them in an earthen vessel, that they may remain many days;
[15] For thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, Again are houses and fields and vineyards bought in this land.’
[16] And I pray unto Jehovah-after my giving the purchase-book unto Baruch son of Neriah-saying,
[17] ‘Ah, Lord Jehovah, lo, Thou hast made the heavens and the earth by Thy great power, and by Thy stretched-out arm; there is nothing too wonderful for Thee:
[18] Doing kindness to thousands, and recompensing iniquity of fathers into the bosom of their sons after them; God, the great, the mighty, Jehovah of Hosts is His name,
[19] Great in counsel, and mighty in act, in that Thine eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of Adam, to give to each according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
[20] In that thou hast done signs and wonders in the land of Egypt unto this day, and in Israel, and among men, and Thou dost make for Thee a name as at this day.
[21] ‘And Thou bringest forth Thy people Israel from the land of Egypt, with signs and with wonders, and by a strong hand, and by a stretched-out arm, and by great fear,
[22] And thou givest to them this land that thou didst swear to their fathers to give to them, a land flowing with milk and honey,
[23] And they come in, and possess it, and they have not hearkened to Thy voice, and in Thy law have not walked, all that which Thou didst lay a charge on them to do they have not done, and Thou dost proclaim to them all this evil.
[24] ‘Lo, the mounts-they have come in to the city to capture it, and the city hath been given into the hand of the Chaldeans who are fighting against it, because of the sword, and the famine, and the pestilence; and that which Thou hast spoken hath come to pass, and lo, Thou art seeing;
[25] Yet Thou hast said unto me, O Lord Jehovah, Buy for thee the field with money, and cause witnesses to testify-and the city hath been given into the hand of the Chaldeans!’
[26] And the word of Jehovah is unto Jeremiah, saying:
[27] ‘Lo, I am Jehovah, God of all flesh: For Me is anything too wonderful?
[28] ‘Therefore, thus said Jehovah, Lo, I am giving this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he hath captured it;
[29] And come in have the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city, and they have set this city on fire, and have burned it, and the houses on whose roofs they made perfume to Baal, and poured out libations to other gods, so as to provoke Me to anger.
[30] For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been only doing evil in Mine eyes, from their youth; for the sons of Israel are only provoking Me with the work of their hands-an affirmation of Jehovah.
[31] ‘For a cause of Mine anger, and a cause of My fury, hath this city been to Me, even from the day that they built it, and unto this day-to turn it aside from before My face,
[32] Because of all the evil of the sons of Israel, and of the sons of Judah that they have done, so as to provoke Me-they, their kings, their heads, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
[33] And they turn unto Me the neck, and not the face, and teaching them, rising early and teaching, and they are not hearkening to accept instruction.
[34] ‘And they set their abominations in the house over which My name is called, so as to defile it;
[35] And they build the high places of Baal, that are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come up on my heart to do this abomination, so as to cause Judah to sin.
[36] ‘And now, therefore, thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, concerning this city, of which ye are saying, It hath been given into the hand of the king of Babylon by sword, and by famine, and by pestilence,
[37] Lo, I am gathering them out of all the lands whither I have driven them in Mine anger, and in My fury, and in great wrath, and I have brought them back unto this place, and have caused them to dwell confidently;
[38] and they have been to Me for a people, and I am to them for God;
[39] and I have given to them one heart, and one way, to fear Me all the days, for good to them, and to their sons after them:
[40] and I have made for them a covenant age-during, in that I turn not back from after them for My doing them good, and My fear I put in their heart, so as not to turn aside from me;
[41] and I have rejoiced over them to do them good, and have planted them in this land in truth, with all my heart, and with all My soul.
[42] ‘For thus said Jehovah: As I brought in unto this people all this great evil, so I am bringing in on them all the good that I am speaking concerning them;
[43] and bought hath been the field in this land of which ye are saying, A desolation it is, without man and beast, it hath been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
[44] Fields with money they buy, so as to write in a book, and to seal, and to cause witnesses to testify, in the land of Benjamin, and in suburbs of Jerusalem, and in cities of Judah, and in cities of the hill-country, and in cities of the low country, and in cities of the south, for I turn back their captivity-an affirmation of Jehovah.’
