Jeremiah 15 (WEBP)
[1] Then Yahweh said to me, “Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not turn toward this people. Cast them out of my sight, and let them go out!
[2] It will happen when they ask you, ‘Where shall we go out?’ then you shall tell them, ‘Yahweh says: “Such as are for death, to death; such as are for the sword, to the sword; such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.” ’
[3] “I will appoint over them four kinds,” says Yahweh: “the sword to kill, the dogs to tear, the birds of the sky, and the animals of the earth, to devour and to destroy.
[4] I will cause them to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
[5] For who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? Who will mourn you? Who will come to ask of your welfare?
[6] You have rejected me,” says Yahweh. “You have gone backward. Therefore I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you. I am weary of showing compassion.
[7] I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land. I have bereaved them of children. I have destroyed my people. They didn’t return from their ways.
[8] Their widows are increased more than the sand of the seas. I have brought on them against the mother of the young men a destroyer at noonday. I have caused anguish and terrors to fall on her suddenly.
[9] She who has borne seven languishes. She has given up the spirit. Her sun has gone down while it was yet day. She has been disappointed and confounded. I will deliver their residue to the sword before their enemies,” says Yahweh.
[10] Woe is me, my mother, that you have borne me, a man of strife, and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent, neither have men lent to me; yet every one of them curses me.
[11] Yahweh said, “Most certainly I will strengthen you for good. Most certainly I will cause the enemy to make supplication to you in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
[12] Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and bronze?
[13] I will give your substance and your treasures for a plunder without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.
[14] I will make them to pass with your enemies into a land which you don’t know; for a fire is kindled in my anger, which will burn on you.”
[15] Yahweh, you know. Remember me, visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors. You are patient, so don’t take me away. Know that for your sake I have suffered reproach.
[16] Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by your name, Yahweh, God of Armies.
[17] I didn’t sit in the assembly of those who make merry and rejoice. I sat alone because of your hand, for you have filled me with indignation.
[18] Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will you indeed be to me as a deceitful brook, like waters that fail?
[19] Therefore Yahweh says, “If you return, then I will bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take out the precious from the vile, you will be as my mouth. They will return to you, but you will not return to them.
[20] I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall. They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you,” says Yahweh.
[21] “I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.”

Jeremiah 15 (KJVS)
[1] Then said H559 (8799) the LORD H3068 unto me, Though Moses H4872 and Samuel H8050 stood H5975 (8799) before H6440 me, [yet] my mind H5315 [could] not [be] toward this people H5971: cast [them] out H7971 (8761) of my sight H6440, and let them go forth H3318 (8799).
[2] And it shall come to pass, if they say H559 (8799) unto thee, Whither shall we go forth H3318 (8799)? then thou shalt tell H559 (8804) them, Thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068; Such as [are] for death H4194, to death H4194; and such as [are] for the sword H2719, to the sword H2719; and such as [are] for the famine H7458, to the famine H7458; and such as [are] for the captivity H7628, to the captivity H7628.
[3] And I will appoint H6485 (8804) over them four H702 kinds H4940, saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068: the sword H2719 to slay H2026 (8800), and the dogs H3611 to tear H5498 (8800), and the fowls H5775 of the heaven H8064, and the beasts H929 of the earth H776, to devour H398 (8800) and destroy H7843 (8687).
[4] And I will cause H5414 (8804) them to be removed H2189 (8675) H2113 into all kingdoms H4467 of the earth H776, because H1558 of Manasseh H4519 the son H1121 of Hezekiah H3169 king H4428 of Judah H3063, for [that] which he did H6213 (8804) in Jerusalem H3389.
[5] For who shall have pity H2550 (8799) upon thee, O Jerusalem H3389? or who shall bemoan H5110 (8799) thee? or who shall go aside H5493 (8799) to ask H7592 (8800) how thou doest H7965?
[6] Thou hast forsaken H5203 (8804) me, saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068, thou art gone H3212 (8799) backward H268: therefore will I stretch out H5186 (8686) my hand H3027 against thee, and destroy H7843 (8686) thee; I am weary H3811 (8738) with repenting H5162 (8736).
[7] And I will fan H2219 (8799) them with a fan H4214 in the gates H8179 of the land H776; I will bereave H7921 (8765) [them] of children, I will destroy H6 (8765) my people H5971, [since] they return H7725 (8804) not from their ways H1870.
[8] Their widows H490 are increased H6105 (8804) to me above the sand H2344 of the seas H3220: I have brought H935 (8689) upon them against the mother H517 of the young men H970 a spoiler H7703 (8802) at noonday H6672: I have caused [him] to fall H5307 (8689) upon it suddenly H6597, and terrors H928 upon the city H5892.
[9] She that hath borne H3205 (8802) seven H7651 languisheth H535 (8797): she hath given up H5301 (8804) the ghost H5315; her sun H8121 is gone H935 (8804) down while [it was] yet day H3119 (8676) H3117: she hath been ashamed H954 (8804) and confounded H2659 (8804): and the residue H7611 of them will I deliver H5414 (8799) to the sword H2719 before H6440 their enemies H341 (8802), saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068.
[10] Woe H188 is me, my mother H517, that thou hast borne H3205 (8804) me a man H376 of strife H7379 and a man H376 of contention H4066 to the whole earth H776! I have neither lent on usury H5383 (8804), nor men have lent to me on usury H5383 (8804); [yet] every one of them doth curse H7043 (8764) me.
[11] The LORD H3068 said H559 (8804), Verily H3808 H518 it shall be well H2896 with thy remnant H8281 (8765) (8675) H8293; verily H518 I will cause the enemy H341 (8802) to entreat H6293 (8689) thee [well] in the time H6256 of evil H7451 and in the time H6256 of affliction H6869.
[12] Shall iron H1270 break H7489 (8799) the northern H6828 iron H1270 and the steel H5178?
[13] Thy substance H2428 and thy treasures H214 will I give H5414 (8799) to the spoil H957 without price H4242, and [that] for all thy sins H2403, even in all thy borders H1366.
[14] And I will make [thee] to pass H5674 (8689) with thine enemies H341 (8802) into a land H776 [which] thou knowest H3045 (8804) not: for a fire H784 is kindled H6919 (8804) in mine anger H639, [which] shall burn H3344 (8714) upon you.
[15] O LORD H3068, thou knowest H3045 (8804): remember H2142 (8798) me, and visit H6485 (8798) me, and revenge H5358 (8734) me of my persecutors H7291 (8802); take me not away H3947 (8799) in thy longsuffering H639 H750: know H3045 (8798) that for thy sake I have suffered H5375 (8800) rebuke H2781.
[16] Thy words H1697 were found H4672 (8738), and I did eat H398 (8799) them; and thy word H1697 was unto me the joy H8342 and rejoicing H8057 of mine heart H3824: for I am called H7121 (8738) by thy name H8034, O LORD H3068 God H430 of hosts H6635.
[17] I sat H3427 (8804) not in the assembly H5475 of the mockers H7832 (8764), nor rejoiced H5937 (8799); I sat H3427 (8804) alone H910 because H6440 of thy hand H3027: for thou hast filled H4390 (8765) me with indignation H2195.
[18] Why is my pain H3511 perpetual H5331, and my wound H4347 incurable H605 (8803), [which] refuseth H3985 (8765) to be healed H7495 (8736)? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar H391, [and as] waters H4325 [that] fail H539 (8738)?
[19] Therefore thus saith H559 (8804) the LORD H3068, If thou return H7725 (8799), then will I bring thee again H7725 (8686), [and] thou shalt stand H5975 (8799) before H6440 me: and if thou take forth H3318 (8686) the precious H3368 from the vile H2151 (8802), thou shalt be as my mouth H6310: let them return H7725 (8799) unto thee; but return H7725 (8799) not thou unto them.
[20] And I will make H5414 (8804) thee unto this people H5971 a fenced H1219 (8803) brasen H5178 wall H2346: and they shall fight H3898 (8738) against thee, but they shall not prevail H3201 (8799) against thee: for I [am] with thee to save H3467 (8687) thee and to deliver H5337 (8687) thee, saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068.
[21] And I will deliver H5337 (8689) thee out of the hand H3027 of the wicked H7451, and I will redeem H6299 (8804) thee out of the hand H3709 of the terrible H6184.
Young’s Literal Translation
Jeremiah 15 (YLT)
[1] And Jehovah saith unto me: Though Moses and Samuel should stand before Me, My soul is not toward this people, Send from before My face, and they go out.
[2] And it hath come to pass, when they say to thee, Whither do we go out? that thou hast said unto them, Thus said Jehovah: Those who are for death-to death, And those who are for the sword, to the sword, And those who are for famine, to famine, And those who are for captivity, to captivity.
[3] And I have appointed over them four kinds, an affirmation of Jehovah, The sword to slay, and the dogs to drag, And the fowl of the heavens, And the beast of the earth, to consume and to devour.
[4] And I have given them for a trembling To all kingdoms of the earth, Because of Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah, For that which he did in Jerusalem.
[5] For who hath pity on thee, O Jerusalem? And who doth bemoan for thee? And who turneth aside to ask of thy welfare?
[6] Thou-thou hast left Me-an affirmation of Jehovah, Backward thou goest, And I stretch out My hand against thee, And I destroy thee, I have been weary of repenting,
[7] And I scatter them with a fan, in the gates the land, I bereaved, I have destroyed My people, From their ways they turned not back.
[8] Its widows have been more to Me than the sand of the seas, I brought in to them-against the mother- A young man-a spoiler-at noon. I caused to fall upon her suddenly, wrath and trouble.
[9] Languished hath the bearer of seven, She hath breathed out her spirit, Gone in hath her sun while yet day, It hath been ashamed and confounded, And their residue to the sword I give up before their enemies, An affirmation of Jehovah.
[10] Woe to me, my mother, For thou hast borne me a man of strife, And a man of contention to all the land, I have not lent on usury, Nor have they lent on usury to me- All of them are reviling me.
[11] Jehovah said, Did I not direct thee for good? Did not I intercede for thee in a time of evil, And in a time of adversity, with the enemy?
[12] Doth one break iron-northern iron, and brass?
[13] Thy strength and thy treasures For a prey I do give-not for price, Even for all thy sins, and in all thy borders.
[14] And I have caused thine enemies To pass over into the land-Thou hast not known, For a fire hath been kindled in Mine anger, Against you it doth burn.
[15] Thou, Thou hast known, O Jehovah, Remember me, and inspect me, And take vengeance for me of my pursuers, In Thy long-suffering take me not away, Know-I have borne for Thee reproach.
[16] Thy words have been found, and I eat them, And Thy word is to me for a joy, And for the rejoicing of my heart, For Thy name is called on me, O Jehovah, God of Hosts.
[17] I have not sat in an assembly of deriders, Nor do I exult, because of thy hand,- Alone I have sat, For with indignation Thou hast filled me.
[18] Why hath my pain been perpetual? And my wound incurable? It hath refused to be healed, Thou art surely to me as a failing stream, Waters not stedfast.
[19] Therefore, thus said Jehovah: If thou turnest back, then I bring thee back, Before Me thou dost stand, And if thou bringest out the precious from the vile, As My mouth thou art! They-they turn back unto thee, And thou dost not turn back unto them.
[20] And I have made thee to this people For a wall-brazen-fenced, And they have fought against thee, And they do not prevail against thee, For with thee am I to save thee, And to deliver thee-an affirmation of Jehovah,
[21] And I have delivered thee from the hand of evil doers, And I have ransomed thee From the hand of the terrible!
