Zephaniah 2 (WEBP)
[1] Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together, you nation that has no shame,
[2] before the appointed time when the day passes as the chaff, before the fierce anger of Yahweh comes on you, before the day of Yahweh’s anger comes on you.
[3] Seek Yahweh, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of Yahweh’s anger.
[4] For Gaza will be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation. They will drive out Ashdod at noonday, and Ekron will be rooted up.
[5] Woe to the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! Yahweh’s word is against you, Canaan, the land of the Philistines. I will destroy you until there is no inhabitant.
[6] The sea coast will be pastures, with cottages for shepherds and folds for flocks.
[7] The coast will be for the remnant of the house of Judah. They will find pasture. In the houses of Ashkelon, they will lie down in the evening, for Yahweh, their God,§ will visit them and restore them.
[8] I have heard the reproach of Moab and the insults of the children of Ammon, with which they have reproached my people and magnified themselves against their border.
[9] Therefore, as I live, says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, surely Moab will be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, a possession of nettles and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation. The remnant of my people will plunder them, and the survivors of my nation will inherit them.
[10] This they will have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of Yahweh of Armies.
[11] Yahweh will be awesome to them, for he will famish all the gods of the land. Men will worship him, everyone from his place, even all the shores of the nations.
[12] You Cushites also, you will be killed by my sword.
[13] He will stretch out his hand against the north, destroy Assyria, and will make Nineveh a desolation, as dry as the wilderness.
[14] Herds will lie down in the middle of her, all kinds of animals. Both the pelican and the porcupine will lodge in its capitals. Their calls will echo through the windows. Desolation will be in the thresholds, for he has laid bare the cedar beams.
[15] This is the joyous city that lived carelessly, that said in her heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me.” How she has become a desolation, a place for animals to lie down in! Everyone who passes by her will hiss and shake their fists.
Zephaniah 2:7 The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “אֱלֹהִ֑ים” (Elohim).

Zephaniah 2 (KJVS)
[1] Gather yourselves together H7197 (8703), yea, gather together H7197 (8798), O nation H1471 not desired H3700 (8737);
[2] Before the decree H2706 bring forth H3205 (8800), [before] the day H3117 pass H5674 (8804) as the chaff H4671, before H3808 the fierce H2740 anger H639 of the LORD H3068 come H935 (8799) upon you, before the day H3117 of the LORD’S H3068 anger H639 come H935 (8799) upon you.
[3] Seek H1245 (8761) ye the LORD H3068, all ye meek H6035 of the earth H776, which have wrought H6466 (8804) his judgment H4941; seek H1245 (8761) righteousness H6664, seek H1245 (8761) meekness H6038: it may be H194 ye shall be hid H5641 (8735) in the day H3117 of the LORD’S H3068 anger H639.
[4] For Gaza H5804 shall be forsaken H5800 (8803), and Ashkelon H831 a desolation H8077: they shall drive out H1644 (8762) Ashdod H795 at the noon day H6672, and Ekron H6138 shall be rooted up H6131 (8735).
[5] Woe H1945 unto the inhabitants H3427 (8802) of the sea H3220 coast H2256, the nation H1471 of the Cherethites H3774! the word H1697 of the LORD H3068 [is] against you; O Canaan H3667, the land H776 of the Philistines H6430, I will even destroy H6 (8689) thee, that there shall be no inhabitant H3427 (8802).
[6] And the sea H3220 coast H2256 shall be dwellings H5116 [and] cottages H3741 for shepherds H7462 (8802), and folds H1448 for flocks H6629.
[7] And the coast H2256 shall be for the remnant H7611 of the house H1004 of Judah H3063; they shall feed H7462 (8799) thereupon: in the houses H1004 of Ashkelon H831 shall they lie down H7257 (8799) in the evening H6153: for the LORD H3068 their God H430 shall visit H6485 (8799) them, and turn away H7725 (8804) their captivity H7622 (8675) H7622.
[8] I have heard H8085 (8804) the reproach H2781 of Moab H4124, and the revilings H1421 of the children H1121 of Ammon H5983, whereby they have reproached H2778 (8765) my people H5971, and magnified H1431 (8686) [themselves] against their border H1366.
[9] Therefore [as] I live H2416, saith H5002 (8803) the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635, the God H430 of Israel H3478, Surely Moab H4124 shall be as Sodom H5467, and the children H1121 of Ammon H5983 as Gomorrah H6017, [even] the breeding H4476 of nettles H2738, and saltpits H4379 H4417, and a perpetual H5704 H5769 desolation H8077: the residue H7611 of my people H5971 shall spoil H962 (8799) them, and the remnant H3499 of my people H1471 shall possess H5157 (8799) them.
[10] This shall they have for their pride H1347, because they have reproached H2778 (8765) and magnified H1431 (8686) [themselves] against the people H5971 of the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635.
[11] The LORD H3068 [will be] terrible H3372 (8737) unto them: for he will famish H7329 (8804) all the gods H430 of the earth H776; and [men] shall worship H7812 (8691) him, every one H376 from his place H4725, [even] all the isles H339 of the heathen H1471.
[12] Ye Ethiopians H3569 also, ye H1992 [shall be] slain H2491 by my sword H2719.
[13] And he will stretch out H5186 (8799) his hand H3027 against the north H6828, and destroy H6 (8762) Assyria H804; and will make H7760 (8799) Nineveh H5210 a desolation H8077, [and] dry H6723 like a wilderness H4057.
[14] And flocks H5739 shall lie down H7257 (8804) in the midst H8432 of her, all the beasts H2416 of the nations H1471: both the cormorant H6893 and the bittern H7090 shall lodge H3885 (8799) in the upper lintels H3730 of it; [their] voice H6963 shall sing H7891 (8787) in the windows H2474; desolation H2721 [shall be] in the thresholds H5592: for he shall uncover H6168 (8765) the cedar work H731.
[15] This [is] the rejoicing H5947 city H5892 that dwelt H3427 (8802) carelessly H983, that said H559 (8802) in her heart H3824, I [am], and [there is] none beside H657 me: how is she become a desolation H8047, a place for beasts H2416 to lie down in H4769! every one that passeth by H5674 (8802) her shall hiss H8319 (8799), [and] wag H5128 (8686) his hand H3027.
Young’s Literal Translation
Zephaniah 2 (YLT)
[1] Bend yourselves, yea, bend ye, O nation not desired,
[2] Before the bringing forth of a statute, As chaff hath the day passed on, While yet not come in upon you doth the heat of the anger of Jehovah, While yet not come in upon you doth a day of the anger of Jehovah,
[3] Seek Jehovah, all ye humble of the land, Who His judgment have done, Seek ye righteousness, seek humility, It may be ye are hidden in a day of the anger of Jehovah.
[4] For Gaza is forsaken, And Ashkelon is for a desolation, Ashdod! at noon they do cast her forth, And Ekron is rooted up.
[5] Ho! O inhabitants of the sea-coast, Nation of the Cherethites, A word of Jehovah is against you, Canaan, land of the Philistines, And I have destroyed thee without an inhabitant.
[6] And the sea-coast hath been habitations, Cottages for shepherds, and folds for a flock.
[7] And the coast hath been for the remnant of the house of Judah, By them they have pleasure, In houses of Ashkelon at even they lie down, For inspect them doth Jehovah their God, And He hath turned back to their captivity.
[8] I have heard the reproach of Moab, And the revilings of the sons of Ammon, Wherewith they reproached My people, And magnify themselves against their border.
[9] Therefore, I live, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, Surely, Moab is as Sodom, And the sons of Ammon as Gomorrah, An overrunning of nettles and salt-pits, And a desolation-unto the age. A residue of My people do seize them, And a remnant of My nation inherit them.
[10] This is to them for their arrogancy, Because they have reproached, And they magnify themselves against the people of Jehovah of Hosts.
[11] Fearful is Jehovah against them, For He made bare all gods of the land, And bow themselves to Him, each from his place, Do all islanders of the nations.
[12] Also ye, O Cushim, pierced of My sword are they.
[13] And He stretcheth His hand against the north, And doth destroy Asshur, And he setteth Nineveh for a desolation, A dry land like a wilderness.
[14] And crouched in her midst have droves, Every beast of the nation, Both pelican and hedge-hog in her knobs lodge, A voice doth sing at the window, ‘Destruction is at the threshold, For the cedar-work is exposed.’
[15] This is the exulting city that is dwelling confidently, That is saying in her heart, ‘I am, and beside me there is none,’ How hath she been for a desolation,
