Jacob told Rachel that he was her father’s relative, and that he was Rebekah’s son. She ran and told her father.

Jacob heard Laban’s sons’ words, saying, “Jacob has taken away all that was our father’s. He has obtained all this wealth from that which was our father’s.”

ηκουσεν δε ιακωβ τα ρηματα των υιων λαβαν λεγοντων ειληφεν ιακωβ παντα τα του πατρος ημων και εκ των του πατρος ημων πεποιηκεν πασαν την δοξαν ταυτην

Yahweh said to Jacob, “Return to the land of your fathers, and to your relatives, and I will be with you.”

and said to them, “I see the expression on your father’s face, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father has been with me.

και ειπεν αυταις ορω εγω το προσωπον του πατρος υμων οτι ουκ εστιν προς εμου ως εχθες και τριτην ημεραν ο δε θεος του πατρος μου ην μετ εμου

You know that I have served your father with all of my strength.

και αυται δε οιδατε οτι εν παση τη ισχυι μου δεδουλευκα τω πατρι υμων

Your father has deceived me, and changed my wages ten times, but God didn’t allow him to hurt me.

ο δε πατηρ υμων παρεκρουσατο με και ηλλαξεν τον μισθον μου των δεκα αμνων και ουκ εδωκεν αυτω ο θεος κακοποιησαι με

Thus God has taken away your father’s livestock, and given them to me.

Now, you want to be gone, because you greatly longed for your father’s house, but why have you stolen my gods?”

She said to her father, “Don’t let my lord be angry that I can’t rise up before you; for I’m having my period.” He searched, but didn’t find the teraphim.

Hamor the father of Shechem went out to Jacob to talk with him.

The sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father with deceit when they spoke, because he had defiled Dinah their sister,

The young man didn’t wait to do this thing, because he had delight in Jacob’s daughter, and he was honored above all the house of his father.

These are the children of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. This is Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, as he fed the donkeys of Zibeon his father.

His brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, and they hated him, and couldn’t speak peaceably to him.

He told it to his father and to his brothers. His father rebuked him, and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Will I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves down to the earth before you?”

και επετιμησεν αυτω ο πατηρ αυτου και ειπεν αυτω τι το ενυπνιον τουτο ο ενυπνιασθης αρα γε ελθοντες ελευσομεθα εγω τε και η μητηρ σου και οι αδελφοι σου προσκυνησαι σοι επι την γην

His brothers envied him, but his father kept this saying in mind.

His brothers went to feed their father’s flock in Shechem.

They took the tunic of many colors, and they brought it to their father, and said, “We have found this. Examine it, now, and see if it is your son’s tunic or not.”

All his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. He said, “For I will go down to Sheol° to my son, mourning.” His father wept for him.

Then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, “Remain a widow in your father’s house, until Shelah, my son, is grown up;” for he said, “Lest he also die, like his brothers.” Tamar went and lived in her father’s house.

ειπεν δε ιουδας θαμαρ τη νυμφη αυτου καθου χηρα εν τω οικω του πατρος σου εως μεγας γενηται σηλωμ ο υιος μου ειπεν γαρ μηποτε αποθανη και ουτος ωσπερ οι αδελφοι αυτου απελθουσα δε θαμαρ εκαθητο εν τω οικω του πατρος αυτης

Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh,° “For”, he said, “God has made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.”

Genesis 41:51 “Manasseh” sounds like the Hebrew for “forget”.

And Joseph H3130 called H7121 (QalImpf) the name H8034 of the firstborn H1060 Manasseh: H4519 For God, H430 [said he], hath made me forget H5382 (PielPerf) all my toil, H5999 and all my father’s H1 house. H1004

εκαλεσεν δε ιωσηφ το ονομα του πρωτοτοκου μανασση οτι επιλαθεσθαι με εποιησεν ο θεος παντων των πονων μου και παντων των του πατρος μου

They said, “We, your servants, are twelve brothers, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and behold, the youngest is today with our father, and one is no more.”

οι δε ειπαν δωδεκα εσμεν οι παιδες σου αδελφοι εν γη χανααν και ιδου ο νεωτερος μετα του πατρος ημων σημερον ο δε ετερος ουχ υπαρχει

They came to Jacob their father, to the land of Canaan, and told him all that had happened to them, saying,

We are twelve brothers, sons of our father; one is no more, and the youngest is today with our father in the land of Canaan.’

δωδεκα αδελφοι εσμεν υιοι του πατρος ημων ο εις ουχ υπαρχει ο δε μικροτερος μετα του πατρος ημων σημερον εν γη χανααν

As they emptied their sacks, behold, each man’s bundle of money was in his sack. When they and their father saw their bundles of money, they were afraid.

εγενετο δε εν τω κατακενουν αυτους τους σακκους αυτων και ην εκαστου ο δεσμος του αργυριου εν τω σακκω αυτων και ειδον τους δεσμους του αργυριου αυτων αυτοι και ο πατηρ αυτων και εφοβηθησαν

Jacob, their father, said to them, “You have bereaved me of my children! Joseph is no more, Simeon is no more, and you want to take Benjamin away. All these things are against me.”
